I can see what you are saying for a couple that's been together for years - @sbolduc I find it jarring for a couple that just had their very first 2 weeks of finally being out in the real world and living together...

The bolded says it all to me on how Nick and Vanessa are as a couple and how they see themselves as a couple and like how they are as a couple -- which is what matters most IMO, that they're on the same page and like it 

As for finding it jarring...I don't find it jarring at all.. especially since one of my fave couples Art & Matilda (Bach NZ S1) are similar to Nick and Vanessa and were similar to how Nick and V are from day one. In fact, I'd say they're much much more full on than Nick and Vanessa in their interactions with each other and how they can roast each other hardcore, sarcasm, the works and make fun of each other and have since day one from their season and far more than what I see with Nick and Vanessa... Example: Matilda talking to Art on her IG stories and saying he's going to be her b!tch for the day and Art posting a photo of Matilda and changing her face to a man's face and calling her Matt. If Nick or Vanessa did that I could only imagine the uproar or speculation that these two don't have love or respect or there's something wrong. And again, since I have followed them since day one, this is nothing new as they were this way from day one with each other and still are and at the same time they are romantic and passionate as well like Nick and Vanessa are so there so they have a dynamic that is multidimensional and fits all parts of themselves.  

I guess I just *get* couples like Nick and Vanessa and ultimately the way I see it and would describe couples like this is that they are best friends who can just hang out and be totally themselves with each other like best mates and yet also are lovers who are passionate and romantic as well.  That's exactly what I see with Nick and Vanessa

ETA: This is a sponsored ad that Art/Matilda did which if Nick and V did I can only imagine the backlash. What matters most is that these couples are on the same page and wavelength, IMO and that's what I see with Nick and V that they are on the same page and wavelength and that they *get* each other and each other's sense of humor.

It's a 3 minute video out of their 24 hour day. How about in two other videos, one is them leaving DWTS one at the Bucks game, Nick was steps ahead of vanessa, but he actually stopped, turned around to hold her hand/waited for her ? It seems so natural for him and I find that endearing. How about in some other pics in the public market in Milwaukee where they were talking to each other and not looked at own phones? To me it means they like to be in each other's company. Maybe these signs are not what some people are looking for, not crazy in love looks, but to me, it's real, it's the #littlethings that give me hope they truly care for each other. IMO.

I don't think anything Nick and Vanessa have done so far screams trouble in paradise. It's literally what REAL couples do, IMO. They seem like the playful type. Playful doesn't mean trouble in paradise to me. If they acted all proper and saying all the "right answers" people would still call them fake. They are just being real and that's not normal in the Bach world since every couple comes out OTT. Always professing their love and how "in sync" they are. This isn't Nick and Vanessa and I'm fine with it.

Vanessa was all of us when the question about who spends more time on IG came up. 'Really?'

I agree, I think whatever Nick does it is meant to be polarizing, imo.
Well because it's Nick, his every actions are either genuine/fake, in love/manipulative, etc.

Been his fan for 3 years now, I think that segment is exactly how he would be when he's found his equal. They are confident about themselves as an individual as well as a couple, so they make fun of each other and being silly. They actually don't need to put up a lovey dovey front to show the world how in love they are because imo, they are very much in love.

I laughed heartily after watching the Ellen show video. I saw a couple very comfortable with each other. I saw a couple sharing the raw, honest truth about each other and their relationship in a light and humorous way. Their dynamic is playful, funny and slightly sarcastic. It takes two to play their game. And I saw two people gently playing with each other. Actually IMO, the fact that they both are liking and retweeting the video means they are comfortable with their interaction and portrayal as well. This level of comfort indicates to me that they do indeed have a deep relationship based upon trust. Perhaps all the "lovey dovey" sappiness we are looking for is saved for their intimate relationship. That is how I would operate.

So far they have done everything most couples do at this point. One moves to be with the other, spend time with family and friends, hold hands and big smiles when they are together, working on Vanessa's residency in the USA, look at each other when asked questions, cook for each other, had dinner out, with the exception of admitting they don't know each other and not giving into a time frame of a wedding date which doesn't materialize in some cases. Some couples admit after the fact it wasn't all rainbows at the beginning and I don't recall anyone saying, they don't know each other, they are in love, and they look forward to the relationship going forward.

He makes a point of including her in a lot of interviews, and twitter.

I don't recall ever seeing Nick acting OTT happy, engaging loudly or OTT behaviour in the last 3 yrs. I don't expect him to change now. The only change I happen to notice is his smiles are so big he's giving a lot of teeth smiles.

@GuardianAngel ITA the Nick I have watched over the history on the show and from what I hear, appears very happy. JMOAA

I didn't really follow Chris/Whitney or Sean/Catherine while they were on DWTS. How does Nick/Vanessa behavior compare? I think they seem realistic, committed and in love. I really have yet to see any huge giant red flags. Did people see red flags this early on in the other couple's relationships? (And yes, I know SeanCat got through Dancing so any "red flags" there ended up moot.)
