I agree. Even his AFTR IG posts left me wanting more. I wanted a bit more emotion, but that's just me. To me, he gave all the emotion in the proposal, but post show, meh.

We, the audience, have never seen Nick in a relationship on an equal footing, outside of chasing the lead in a Bach bubble. We have never seen him in a relationship, unedited, without the stress of the show hanging on him. IMO he's been gushing about Vanessa plenty, though.

We can't forget that he is practicing for long hours everyday. He's talking about how every part of his body aches. It was hilarious in the Access interview when he said he walks around with ice packs in his pants. It's a little tough to be gushy lovey dovey to anyone when every muscle is crying.

I love how Nick's including Vanessa in his DWTS journey already. I remember when Chris was on the show, his first rehearsal after the finale and the media tour was shown on All Access (do they even have that anymore?) and Witney obviously had a lot questions about how it feels to be out in the open and stuff. Chris was acting evasive (IMO) and like he didn't even want to talk about Whitney. I don't think Witney and Whitney even met until the premiere or the day before. Nick's first rehearsal after the finale? Vanessa is there already helping to pick a team name, posing for pics and taking part in interviews. That tells me Nick wants her to be part of it as much as possible and I consider that a very good sign. JMO.

Only Nick and Vanessa truly know their relationship, only they know how they really feel but IMO he's been lukewarm at best post show. I understood the argument that during the show, he was the bachelor, so he couldn't chase her in the same way he did with Kaitlyn and Andi. I disagreed with that train of thought because we've seen countless leads chase their F1, but I understood the argument. Now the show's over, he chose her, and I'm STILL not feeling it from him. He doesn't seem super happy, ecstatic, over the moon, at peace, any of that IMO. Maybe that's his 'growth' and being different from when he first came on this show but if it is growth it's not in a good way IMO. There's this j.cole song where he says 'the good news is you came a long way, the bad news is you went the wrong way' and if this difference is chalked up to growth, those lyrics are how I feel about it. All JMO.

I just wish that this is not like Chris soules 2.0. I don't have to say anything much but again hope Vanessa can hold on to this as the hectic/ gruelling rehearsal just starting . After all this is a competition and for both sides like other dancing partners they want to win and go far . But it seems Vanessa is enjoying LA where her fiancé lives now. Hopefully they will make prove the public wrong and can make it . Either way wish them all the best .jmo

I don't think this DWTS will be anything like CS and Whitney. IMO Vanessa will be a very active support for Nick, and Nick (and Peta) will include Vanessa a lot to the experience. Maks/Peta and Nessa are already going on a double date next weekend. JMO.

A suggestion: IMHO, it would be helpful if social media and media content posted for a couple on a "no discussion" thread is not limited to or separated between a "fan no discussion" thread and a "'general discussion' no discussion" thread...the reasoning: there will be no conversation in the thread anyways, and so it would be handy to have one single repository of media about a couple in one thread. IMHO.

There aren't Media SM thread for any couples in the GD threads, after the show is done and it's pretty much a waste of space because if anything is posted, it simply goes in the discussion thread.

Nicks TB threads are still active for another few days, until I get around to locking up and filing the rest, some have already been locked and filed. The last few days it's been busy creating new threads plus we have active International threads going on.

In the past we've had such threads, and no one used them, because lets be honest, if you're not a fan of someone, you won't take the time to copy SM and move them to a special NO Discussion thread. Anything can be posted in the regular GD thread from any media or SM account for discussion.

The Fan threads for the most part have a NO Discussion thread for Media and SM because fan's myself or a mod all help and move them over there, or everyone is busy then a lot doesn't get moved over. Those who are not fans, may not care what's in those threads, those that are fans want to keep as much as possible.

In the past posts from Fan threads were taken to the GD thread to trash the couple after fans did all the work of bringing them to the Fan thread. Therefore IMO if anyone wants to trash anyone, or post a negative opinion, they can obtain the post from SM or media or whatever, bring it over to the GD thread, and discuss as you please. If one doesn't now how, there are help threads. In the past we found that one group of people, namely those that are fans of a couple, are doing all the work of bringing over posts, in order for those who don't care for the couple to simply take it and use it as they please.

I think so far Nick has already included Vanessa more than Chris included Whitney all season long. 

That aside, to me Nick is pretty much nothing like Chris. Chris is silly, down home, not at all thoughtful or articulate. Nick is the opposite of that. I think Nick will make an effort to communicate with Vanessa through this, and will also be more considerate of her feelings and situation. To me, that's just who Nick is, and Chris just lacks that emotional maturity.
