There is a certain hands off signal, no mixed messages there. In fact i swear i saw him wearing a scarf over his turtleneck at one point.

My gut feeling is telling me so too. There were way too many responses Nick gave in the media at the beginning of the season (ET interview with Nancy comes to mind with the option: "maybe none"), including the Ellen interview/game backstage where he alluded that FS doesn't mean sex and the thrill is in the conversations you can finally have, because there's is no "showmance". He said it himself, that there's a reputation about him that might not be true, but I think he is more "flattered"** to be perceived as a "bad boy", so he doesn't clearly object to it- JMO.

I believe her aunt. When I went through her IG during filming, my first impression of her was that's she's a positive person who loves to laugh and goof around. I'm sure it's frustrating for her and her family to see nothing but angst on screen. JMO.

Besides trying to steer the audience away from the true ending, I kinda wonder if MF doesn't get a kick out of pushing the limits of people just for the sheer entertainment of it. I can imagine him thinking of them as dumb steers who were blinded by the spotlights, so whatever he does to them, they deserve. So he takes someone like V who is a generally positive, happy type who came on and fell hard for the lead, and he spins her around during filming and in the edit thinking she or Nick might implode and it would be hilarious for him and awesome for ratings. Dr. Frankenstein, imo.

IMO The F1 gets a crappy edit with doubts thrown in if the lead's connection with the F1 is too obvious. They did it with Jordan too last season IMO. Shawn was also portrayed as a whiny lunatic. I am pretty sure if Ben's dual ILY wasn't there, even Lauren would have gotten a crappy edit somehow.

IMO since the time CH said that the producers sat down and revamped the franchise (after Andi's season and the low ratings?), the goal has shifted from the traditional love story to total drama. That is also why we are subjected to the Chads and the Corinnes IMO. The show will never be what it used to be IMO.

If Nick is thinking of proposing to V, I assume he will sleep with her. I would think they would need to confirm their compatibility before they got engaged.

He had opportunities to sleep with Corinne and turned them down. I'm guessing he will pass on getting intimate with Raven and Rachel as well. My guess (and sincere hope) is he only slept with V.

US magazine has a source said Nick and Raven slept together. The newest preview on Twitter suggests Nick saying I am falling in love with you and lying in bed with Rachel. Tptb is doing everything they can to throw doubts left and right, not just who Nick will pick, but, imo, if Vanessa is so special and the only one for him.
I felt optimistic last night but today my feelings totally changed and I am just a viewer! Imagine how Vanessa feels! I hope she and Nick communicate a lot and clear things up.
Also, I hope she leaving for LA soon! Why isn't she there already?

Thinking maybe on FD but leaning toward MTP or LCD which is stil before the proposal.

She might be waiting for the spring break IMO. With the media appearances, she might not be able to see her friends, family and students for the next few weeks, assuming this is a regular ATFR and there will be a regular press tour.

The reason for this change in narrative/edit to be more focused on drama is because of BIP, IMO and the show was revamped because of this (BIP first season was after CS's season). TPTB are always looking ahead, IMO, and so their edit reflects this since it's about auditions for the next lead and the next BIP cast. To me it's been very clear since BIP S1 that Bach and Bette shows have become more about BIP auditions than about F1/Leads and I don't see that changing as long as BIP is around. It sucks for F1/lead and the love story, but the ratings prove that no matter what people say on SM or how much they complain, the majority of viewers will still watch no matter how much drama is emphasized.

I personally like to watch for the love story but I have long accepted that drama will be TPTB's main focus for any season and so I just ignore the drama and don't worry about it because it doesn't change the love story to me. I still see *it* ... the love story... especially with Vanessa and Nick and no amount of editing, drama, or BIP auditions, change that in any way. If anything, it only makes me focus on the love story even more
