Re: Vanessa Grimaldi - Bachelor 21 - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #5
Damn I was expecting so much more drama re. the Bimini fight than what was actually in today's RS column
A lot of the info has been speculated upon, so a bit anticlimactic IMO.
MO re. V & R remain unchanged.
I am confused by some discussion about how V did the right thing by talking to R about feeling "ostracized" by her but R was immature for not telling her why R avoided V/not engaging - from my understanding, from RS' account:
V asked, R answered, V then went to tell Nick how R felt about her.
So where is R not facing the issue head on? Seems like she just wanted to stay away from V, which she has continued post show. Just because V didn't like how R reacted does not mean she didn't deal with the issue head on or reacted "wrongly" IMO
(Re. R's only seeming/alleged acknowledgment of V, I personally don't think it was a good idea that R answered that she didn't like V in an IG story (allegedly) but IMO she can't be accused of not being honest or "real").
I guess in summary:
-the new details did nothing to change my view on Vanessa (I expected that behaviour from her based on SM/show info/my perspective & interpretation - my only surprise was the part about Taylor - I kind of thought there might have been something with Sarah bc Nick shaded her out of nowhere in that ESPN podcast).
-I still really like Rachel & look forward to her season even if IMO the IG story admission was not the best course of action (I must admit I enjoy it from an entertainment consuming POV though )

See this? This is you. It's not showy or gaudy. It's simple. Elegant. Beautiful.
It's my mom's bracelet.
I know.
How do you know?
Well, because you told me. Six months ago. You were wearing that blue sweater with the snowflakes that you have. You were walking down the hallway at school. I was annoying you as per usual. You said, "Look, Pacey, I just found my mother's bracelet this morning, so why don't you cut me some slack?"
You remember that?
I remember everything.

Can someone tell me if V moved to NY if she could work as a special ed teacher? What r the immigration requirements? If she can no take up a position in her profession then would make sense to do casual media work so can b with N. JMO

Too early to judge Vanessa imo. Yes she signed with a talent agent but that doesn't necessarily mean she will quit her job soon. I will wait and see.

It's not going to be easy for Vanessa to simply move to the US and start working regardless of what type of work she does. There is a process. I imagine it might be just a tad more difficult in recent months.
This IMO is a good sign that Vanessa has signed up with an agency. They all do, they all need that forbookings@ Weren't there some that changed their SM email before they were eliminated? IIRC.
Perhaps they are lining up their ducks for their future. Similar to @MiniDiva sleuthing the transfer papers for Roberto ( ) AllState from SC to L.A. before the FRC.
NYC would be the most convenient location for both IMO. Perhaps she has already started the immigration process, OTOH she doesn't need to do anything. She can just be in the US as a visitor for not more than a total of 6 months in a 12 month period.

There is so much red tape.
My daughter has her masters in special ed and elementary ed. She taught 4th grade in a private school in NYC for several years(this would have been the same school Ivanka Trump Kushner's children would be attending if she is in NYC at that time when her oldest starts school) and then moved to NJ by me 2.5 yrs ago. She is exactly 17 miles now from where she taught. The laws are different with each state. Lots of red tape and headaches. Right now things are rapidly changing in teaching here. My daughter chose to privately tutor vs going back to school teaching.
Each state has it's own independent licensure and testing requirements, so I can not even imagine what it would be like for someone coming from another country. Do we need special ed teachers? yes Is the transition easy? I don't think so.
My initial response to your question would be it's an uphill battle.

If N&V decide to settle to US, it's not like she can walk into a school and start working. My best friend is an occupational therapist in the school district for special needs kids. She needs a different license every time she moves to a different state to practice and she has a Master's degree obtained here. I don't think the rules are very different for Special needs teachers either. JMO.

It would make it easier if she were married to a US citizen. Couldn't she get dual citizenship? Might make some things easier.

@OnePromise I don't think it's that easy. There's a process. There's a time frame you have to be married to prove you're married because you want to be and not because you just want to be a US citizen.

Yes, I was going to respond to this and was glad to see you read my thoughts and we are on the same page.
Each state has it's own dance.
I am a nurse. Thank goodness I had reciprocity years ago from Missouri to NJ. I would HATE to have to take my licensure test again. That was a nightmare. 2 days of testing 8 hour days.
My s-i-l is an attorney. He had license in NY, but not in NJ and had to take the bar again to practice in NJ.
His wife, my daughter is a sp. ed./ele ed teacher with her masters. She taught in NY for years. She has to do all kinds of bull to resume licensure in NJ. So she tutors for 100/hour.
I guess there are reasons for this. Good ones. All I can think about is red tape vs. need.
No good deed goes unpunished.

Nope. Licensure is licensure.

I have some idea if she marries him, he can applied for her and it should take about 2 yrs to come through. Travelling back and fort will be complicated though, a family member of mine went through the process. IMHO.

CMIW but I don't think she has a US education so I am not sure of the formalities she might need to go through to get her degree recognized here. Then there is the licensing process which every person working in the special needs sector requires to practice irrespective of citizenship and it is different for every state. It's an uphill battle like Kasha said and there is no saying where things would go under a new administration and new education secretary. JMO.
