I listened to this. These two are friends with Corinne...I assume. They basically implied that Corinne is saying she did not give consent to DeMario's TMZ version of events that transpired. They are blaming production for not stopping the sex because Corinne was to drunk to give consent....therefore implying that both DeMario and Production took advantage of Corinne. They did confirm that no intercourse occurred per DeMario's story.  They then seem outraged that most of the cast had unfollowed Corinne on SM but were still following DeMario. They feel like the cast blame Corinne for the stopping of the filming and for messing up their future IG shilling. Basically these two gals are painting Corinne as the innocent victim.  I am paraphrasing here....but that was my take of them trying to portray IMO Corinne's side of the story.
The whole thing is a big mess and IMO it is the death knell of BIP.
IMO Production has pushed the boundaries to far by intentionally casting and encouraging these fameseekers to be more and more outrageous while making certain copious amounts of alcohol is readily available.
Imo Corinne had a case of regret after watching the film and has chosen to take the legal route in the aftermath.
DeMario is trying to spin they they were 2 consenting adults....and he was led on and encouraged by Corinne...and the production storyline/script.
It will be interesting to see where the dust settles but IMO this is a huge stain on the Franchise. I believe that going forward changes will be made in all the shows....hopefully a movement away from the OTT salacious direction that the Franchise has trended.

I don't see why Corinne and DeMario aren't both being seen as victims in this situation, they were both really drunk, and maybe neither of them could have consented, and there were sober producers and contestants around who could have stepped in at any second but seemingly didn't apart from one producer who tried.

I will play devil's advocate:
There is a loose script in play.
There was liquor voluntarily ingested.
Were there stages of undress or limited clothing? If so did they undress themselves? or each other?
At what stage in the process does someone as a bystander involve themselves? When? During heavy kissing? During major undressing? During petting?
Then add in risk factor of involved person or persons being physically harmed.
Egg shells.
Production is advised of what to do and from it sounds like they did it when they did it.

I agree, the people quote was that one contestant expressed they were upset that production had not stepped in to stop it. If that person was cognizant that production should have stepped in then they themself should have stepped in in my opinion. If they were not calling out producers I would not care. But to claim it bothered you but you did nothing is annoying to me. JMO.

In a way it is something.  Sorta like a child telling the teacher about a playground altercation instead of they themselves physically putting themselves into the situation. The producers are the "authority" figures and also own responsibility for scenes.
I'm thinking about pics we've seen of camera people a foot away from make out seshes and think I wouldn't want to walk over there.  I suppose bystanders could have hollered from a distance?

I get your point though. So many times cast standby and let someone get hammered.  Opportunity to stop that might have arisen earlier and then things might not have escalated.

@Seabear Thanks for the recap. I had no doubt that's how it will go down after I read the tweet or media article that said once Corinne viewed the tape she was ashamed. Maybe the ones that unfollowed witnessed everything, because they are clearly taking sides.

One of the main problems IMO is the idea amongst certain people that it is normal and okay to drink to the point of being nonfunctional. I don't understand it. Never have. Never will. You NEED to be in control of your actions. It is a matter of safety, and sometimes life and death. (Just look at what is going on with the case of Penn State Frat death in court today. All those people and nobody with the presence of mind to do the right thing? So, so sad.) JMHO.

I agree with many of the comments written in this thread, but I don't want to speculate further at this time. This mess seems to be debauchery gone bad at best and possibly something criminal at worst. JMHO.

"Bachelor in Paradise" was shut down because a field producer filed a complaint that Corinne Olympios seemed so drunk the first day of filming she had no ability to consent to DeMario Jackson's sexual moves in a swimming pool, and producers nonetheless let it play out on film.

The producer in question believes Corinne may have been sexually assaulted, although we know DeMario claims the encounter was not only consensual ... she was the instigator.

TMZ broke the story of DeMario's version of events ... that he and Corinne were drinking heavily and making out at the bar. She suggested they take it to the swimming pool, where they took their clothes off and began "rubbing, touching and fingering." He also claims she put her genitals in his face and he began licking. He says he was unable to consummate things because he was so drunk.

Our sources say the field producer in question was assigned to shadow Corinne, and began hearing stories from people on the set that Corinne was so drunk she had no idea what was going on in the pool. It's unclear if the producer watched the incident, but we know she has NOT seen the footage.

People familiar with the footage tell TMZ Corinne appears "fully engaged." As we reported, after the complaint was filed Warner Bros immediately dismissed both DeMario and Corinne and launched an investigation into "misconduct."

IMO, after seeing Corinne on Nick's season, I have no doubt that she will try to promote herself as the innocent victim. She doesn't take responsibility for her actions and it is always the fault of someone else. I'm not surprised with what the FB live @Seabear listened to said. Her friends are going to stick up for her, no doubt about that. The rest of the BIP4 cast, it is their choice as to whether they do or not... especially those that might have witnessed what happened. Same goes for whether they stick up for DeMario or not.

Although I do feel that there is no one person at fault here, it is multi-layered.

Either way, I'm glad it's on film as I would be really upset to see either 1) DeMario falsely accused and/or 2) Corrine having sex acts performed on her without consent .... my gut tells me that if TMZ is reporting he was too drunk to perform actual intercourse then maybe they are both to blame but aren't they legal adults? I mean at what point are bystanders suppose to be mind readers and determine whether each are consenting as adults? Yes sometimes it's obvious but other times I'm not sure I would always know the line for each individual?

I am not for blaming the "victim" but the Corinne I have witnessed for the past few months is all about Corinne and I have a very hard time seeing her as an innocent victim in this. I have repeatedly seen Corinne blame others at all times and never think her actions were anything but right. So this seems to be more of Corinne not owning her part in the drama and once again painting herself as the "victim"....IMO.
The two gals in the podcast confirmed that both Corinne and DeMario were very drunk. As in Corinne to drunk to consent and DeMario to drunk to functionally be able to engage in intercourse...ie no stiffy...validating that portion of DeMario's TMZ story. The gals actually named names of some longtime producers in implying that those producers use their "friendship" with the cast to imply a level of safety to the cast that was in their opinion not exercised in this situation. As in intervening when a cast member goes to far or drinks to much and engages in questionable behavior. The whole thing is very He said, She said, They said.

I don't understand getting blackout drunk either. It's something I would personally never do because I'm wired to be cautious. On the other hand, this isn't a normal situation where someone got drunk at a party, went home with a stranger and things happened. They're on a closed set with loads of people around, so I can see them feeling even more safe than usual to let loose thinking nothing bad can happen. If it then turns out that no one will step in no matter what is going on, even though they're supposed to be in charge of people's safety, and instead they just keep filming... That is an issue for me, even as a viewer, and it should definitely be addressed. JMO.

IMHO it is bad all around. That what fame gets you. IMHO

Can someone explain how what happened on BIP is any different when what happened to Ben and his F1 when they were taped having sex in the ocean??? If I remember correct Ben and his F1 had been drinking alot also. I wonder why the TPTB/Warnerbros., didn't take any actions back then. Just saying....
