It seems like they went all out for this season. These guys seem so established. There might be a chance that tptb will not run this girl over by that proverbial bus.

It's early yet, let her finish filming and TPTB start editing.  I wouldn't give them too much credit yet.

Thanks, I understand that, but my question is, if two people are following each other on IG and the IG is private, can the person following see somehow that it's private? On Twitter there is a lock symbol.

My first thought when I read MF's Pauly tweet is Pauly D from Jersey Shore. I don't watch that show, but know the name from the media.

Oh, I see. From my experience, no, there's no symbol to tell the other person is private in that case if you follow each other and you are logged into your account. (No symbol appears either if they don't follow you back but allow you to follow them).

I have to totally agree with you on this one. Thirty guys all with totally different backgrounds, difference races and ethnicities, difference points of cultural and world views, difference in and diverse careers, graduate school verse community college, all thrown together in a house for weeks with ten tons of testosterone infiltrating the air competing for the love of one woman. Some are going to think they are at a disadvantage, some are going to think they have something to prove, some are going to feel entitled. And then we have Dean... Oh my goodness...

Even with a little more diversity in race and/or ethnicity, I can't imagine there won't be the same old type, attitudes and actions.  We'll have the immatures, the drinkers, the bros, the jocks, the nerds, the drama guys, the villian(s), etc.  All roles in the story board have to be filled regardless the cast or leads race, IMO.  So, IMO, it's gonna be the same old thing, just with a little more diverse cast.

Yeah, I don't think it matters with the formula for TPTB. You can have 50 guys and they could be Martian, Uranusian and Venutian and there would still only be about 5 normal guys casted.

I agree but also disagree with you in a way...
My guess (we will have to see how this plays out) is that the archetypes they've always had maybe be stretched more frequently than they have been stretched before IMHO
We might have the jock i.e. personal trainer who seems like the sensitive type i.e. Peter K.
We might have the other jock i.e. navy guy (though he's out) who grew up with a Hawaiian + Asian + Californian cultural environment
We might have another jock i.e. personal trainer who is an inspirational speaker and seems super goofy and grew up in the south as a black man (right?) i.e. Eric

We will 100% have to wait and see but I am really expecting a very fresh feel and at least a diversification of the archetypes which imho will complicate + add nuance rather than simplify the archetypes we usually get. imho we get those guys that break out of/stretch the "box" tptb gives to them every season but i expect that we will have more of them this season cos the casting process had to be reset somewhat imho

I expect that we will get guys that are going to not be easy to fit in the existing TB cookie cutter simply because they are sourced from a different pool of canididates imho we will get guys that are "archetype bending" like JP F1 for Ashley, Daniel from Canada, Cupcake dentist, Brooks, Ed - Jilly's guy, Arie etc....
BTW to disclose my stance on how TPTB edits contestants: I strongly disagree with how TPTB fits ANYONE that comes on this show whatever their background and experience into the show's cookie cutter cos we are each unique. To me the show would be so much more interesting to me if we get to see many more facets of ppl even if they all come from Arkansas and are all one race and cowboys
