It probably has to do with that top secret name change and subsequent surgery in 2011 when he was formally known as Nicollete.

IMO that bracelet says everything ~ Vanessa was the only one he wanted, the only one he wanted with him at the end.  She is the one he fell in love with on their first date.    I think the bracelet gives him strength,  gives him hope, and it is always there to remind him, that he can make it to the end of this crazy mess because Vanessa will be there waiting.  She is that pot of gold at the end of his rainbow.

Did anyone notice that when Nick was saying he doesn't want to get that close again, he wants to get all the way there, he was looking at Vanessa as if she was the only woman there?

You know, I can only imagine how greater the hate for Vanessa would've gotten if she did what Corrine has done on this show. Corrine is now a comedic relief to some and Vanessa is the entitled villainous bitch. Being the F1 is always a struggle. Hang tight V!

Yes - I think that for the moments wherein he said, "looking for something different (paraphrasing)" and "want to get all the way there" he looked straight ahead (towards Vanessa) I believe. I wanted to take screen shots but couldn't on my tablet. Will try again later.

I'm totally OK with how Vanessa is portrayed ... since everyone has a right/chance to have their own opinion/take on her and her behavior. Most of the people don't really like Nick, can find a lots of flaws in him and yet for some reason they would prefer his F1 to be someone more likeable? I ask why?
I believe Nick likes her, probably loves her by now (and yes, I assume they are very much still in-love), she makes him laugh (his words, not just smile), they actually do understand each other, because they can talk with each other with no pretense, she doesn't act "better" in-front of him, just so that he would like her, she shows her emotions, she speaks about her feelings ... by this episode even without knowing her he can already tell whether he can handle her emotional reactions and how are they able to find the balance and understanding ... and he didn't have to choose her at the end ... but he did.

So I'm more than thrilled, that this unlikable couple won't have many fans hoovering over their relationship once the show is over, and will able to live their lives quasi normal and in their right of privacy ... since I assume, nobody will care ... the next Bette is the perfect girl to follow and after many seasons I think Nick can be whoever he wants to be (and with whoever) without having to prove anything to anyone.

Wait what could Vanessa's father possibly know about Nick that makes Vanessa question their relationship?

Funny because as much as I didn't like the Afterbuzz show today - I just liked that AshleyI was there. She was giving some bits that kind of explains some things and when Chelsea said that she has never been a fan of Nick and she believes N&V will not last. AshleyI almost got defensive for Nick saying, "why do you say that?" Anyway, she kind of caught herself but seems like she was trying hard not to give things away. But I feel that they are still together and bidding their time.

I was trying to look back at Rachel's facial expressions when Vanessa has her 1-1 date announced with Nick saying to go deeper... Corinne has made a comment on emotions going deep on POV...Rachel's facial expression is totally showing 'yeah! right' as contra to the statement which for me is seemingly like rolling her eyes to Vanessa....a sign that she feels very confident Nick will take her any second over Vanessa...I think that is the competition phase we are seeing on both of them... and, the fights we can foresee between them and nothing else...

I think Rachel's father may come off too intimidating probably for Nick to continue chasing and proposing to her later on..

I believe both Raven and Rachel's hometown will be smooth sailing. It will be Vanessa's and Cheese Pasta's hometown dates that will have some issues - IMO based on the press release. I liken these to the Shawn Lowe hometowns, Cat's and Desiree's hometowns weren't the easiest for Shawn. With Cat's mom saying call me and ask me when you're sure. The lead always has to overcome some adversities so it doesn't look like it was all good. And Cheese Pasta will FINALLY go home.

Yep there was competition between the two - I can just imagine Nick telling his friends AshleyI and Jared that there were strong personalities in the final women that clashed. Neither Vanessa nor Rachel are perfect people, I just think that Rachel was more congenial than Vanessa was. Either way, the race is for Nick's heart not how many friends they made in the house.
