Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #5

In order to be successful at blogging, you need to do it frequently. Posting a few posts every month isn't going to get you anywhere. I know she would be paid to post items to her blog, but at some point she needs to make it relatable and affordable. From what I can tell, the stuff she posts usually isn't something a normal, everyday woman who watches the show could afford. Who the heck would pay for a $300 poncho/kimono or over $100 pants for working out?

The clicks and the number of people visiting her blog are just as important, so if people can't afford the items, they will stop going to her blog and people will stop wanting to pay her to promote their items because she isn't getting enough views. Blogging actually takes a lot of work and few actually do it properly. All JMO

There could very well be a time where Ben approaches Lauren with the same question. IMO, it's life. We go through the phases where we are on track and then sometimes we need a little push or a reset button to do something new.

From what I've witnessed, Lauren actually does work quite a bit. She has day jobs pretty regularly promoting stuff. I know it gets criticism here, but her blog is bringing in revenue too. She also promotes stuff on SM (usually subtly), and I've long suspected she's been pulling in more money than Ben... cause not quite sure what he's been doing. Possessionista (Dana) pointed Lauren out on Reality Steves last podcast that Lauren is one of the girls from this franchise who has really been smart about promoting her fashion and looks. She also mentioned Lauren was one of the kindest to share with Dana where she gets certain clothes/items.

IMO, her blog can't be making her too much money. I just took a look. In exactly one month, she's done two posts. In exactly two months, she's only done six posts. If she was getting a lot of views on her blog, I would bet she would be posting more often as that would mean more money or she's just not hooking up with a lot of businesses wanting her to promote their products on her blog. JMO

I would bet her biggest source of income was the payment for filming the show and the ads she does on social media/snap chat. Nothing wrong with that. Take advatange while you can IMO.

The filming of the show and/or all the traveling really f'ed with Lauren's blog IMO. She even said, she was soooo tired after filming all day every day, that the little time she had she would try to work on her blog. She's had the blog for 5 months now, and hasn't really made much of a dent yet. Her New Years resolution was to do better with it, so we shall see. She promotes really expensive sh*t though, that like Ash said, who the hell is gonna buy any of that? Teenage girls/college girls and middle aged women/grandmas watch the Bachelor (from what I've seen.) Those ppl either A) can't afford that stuff because they don't work/are going to school or B) won't wear that stuff because they're essentially older ladies, and that's not their style. Lauren needs to get some tips from Ali. Ali does posts pretty much daily and has the most cute affordable stuff all the time.

I know this is a new generation of dating and all but Lauren off to a girls trip with lace and Amanda Stanton while Ben is working. I mean not one of these ladies have a regular job. I'm hoping Lauren hasn't lost what's important and how all this came about to get. ( A man named Ben fell in love with her and asked her to be his wife) plus both these ladies lost their relationships. I've always thought Lauren as very mature but I'm starting to think she's gotten a little side tracked. Which leads me to wonder how long (maybe not) will Ben like this to go on.

IMO she's a beginner to the blogging world and if anything it looks like she's learning to navigate it and not doing bad.

She has done a number of cool projects... Her early projects with Stylist LA.. and the newer ones with Revolve and Shop Van De Vort comes to mind (she's on their website.. both stores are a big deal in LA and they're not cheap). She spoke at the conference in New York though Simply Inc/ Sarah Boyd who look after her and a number of others like Catt Sadler, Jaime Chung and Olivia Culpo to name a few. Alongside that she's a temp at Alaska. Not bad at all IMO

IMO this Nashville trip seems like both work and play as in it would be featured on her blog (Just seen some of their snaps (Lauren, Lace and Jen Sav), they seem to be doing a tour of the rooms and have the tagged the hotel.. I highly doubt they are paying for the hotel)

I personally don't care how any of these people make their money as long as they're not whiny and entitled or holier than thou about it. None of my business. Some people may live to work and that's their prerogative, but I don't blame those who work to live for trying to find shortcuts. Good for them. JMO.

If this girls trip is being sponsored by companies that these women promote, they might all be making money while having a fun trip, too. Why not make a little money while getting a free trip with friends? Ben's on a work trip, anyway -- he's getting paid to travel, too. Lauren gave up her job and moved to Denver for Ben. She also seems to be very patient, supportive and forgiving with him as well. I don't think there is anything wrong with Ben giving to the relationship as well. JMO

The gals are having fun with Wells and Luke, and it looks like Chris Lane made a little pit stop at wherever they were at. They bar hopped a few times, and now my fav Lauren is back..back again (aka: buzzed white girl dancing Lauren)! Happy dayyyyy!

Looking at these snaps of Lauren makes me feel sorry for ben. I mean she went out this past Saturday drinking with girls, now she goes to Nashville and gets buzzed again with girls all this after she suggested Ben go back to work. Maybe she wishes subconsciously she was a single lady. She only has 2 married friends the majority are single. As for her being the one beside Luke in the car for appearance sake I feel she shouldn't have been the one sitting beside Luke, one of the other girls should have or Lauren in the front. I don't think we've ever seen Ben out with other woman around him at a bar. Theirs got to be more than going to bars all the time just to have fun. My opinion of Lauren is decreasing all the time. This is just my opinion.

IMO, there is no issue with Lauren hanging with girl friends or near Luke. Luke hung out with BenLo in Vegas at the I heart music fest and in an interview said how cool and normal they were as a couple. He even met their parents and talked about how awesome their parents were.

Ben went out after his work day was over at what looks like a bar and is constantly photographed with other women.

When he goes to Florida, in the past he has been pictured out with another female co worker. He went out a few months ago with Matthias and Chase and they had two girls with them. Ben was sitting next to the girls during dinner. It meant nothing.

What an unhealthy controlling relationship it would be IMO if they were each only allowed to hang out with each other and their respective married friends. Hanging out with single friends or friends of the opposite sex does not equate to relationship probs.
