Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #5

@clobrown Well, I kind of get it. I mean I doubt she is a serial killer or anything.
However, she was the one who put herself out there, no one has done this for her, it's her doing. We all have choices in life. Many of us give up things in order to pursue other ventures whether they be family, friends or jobs.
I don't like to see any of the cast stalked, harassed etc. I wish them all well. Some just happen to spark more of a obnoxious bent or can't do anything wrong bent. They are all equal opportunity for me, IMO.

Criticism ≠ Dislike. While Lauren isn't one of my "faves" or anything, I don't dislike the girl, and in terms of other cast members her "offenses" are pretty low on the totem pole IMO. I find her relationship with Ben odd, I actually consider her a saint for putting up with that man (I can't stand him), but the things she and the others have shared on SM pertaining to this trip have been tacky IMO.

Agreed. just out of curiosity, what is it that makes you dislike Ben so much?

Is this a good time to mention that I've been eyeing those light up cases?

I didn't know light up phone cases existed, so I just got a good idea for a birthday gift for my daughter.

Are you going to start taking kissy face/duck lip, modelesque, forced, posed, selfies and overshare them on SM?  If so, then no... Walk away. If it's for family photos and pics of the little one then, might can let it slide.

I think it's bad enough that all of these apps have filters that can really alter your appearance and now there are phone cases that will give you the best lighting to make you look the best. It's a shame young girls and women feel the need to have all of that to think they look good or better with all of it. I'm sure that phone case would come in handy though for family vacation selfies and what not. JMO

@limoncello He just annoys me. I feel like he's all talk & no action, he doesn't take responsibility for anything, and from my perspective he definitely bought into his own bachelor hype, thinking he's the greatest thing ever. For me it started with the way he handled Jubilee's elimination, that really bothered me, him saying ily to his F2 didn't bother me so much as the way he handled it afterwards. It's one thing to be caught up in the bubble, but months later he just couldn't even admit that it might have been a misstep, especially taking in Lauren's feelings on the matter (IDC what anyone says, no one can convince me she wasn't at least a little bothered by that). He went on the show saying he was ready for a wife but that's not the vibe I get from him. He's still very me, me, me. He's a grownup who constantly needs 'attaboys'. It's all about his feelings. All the major sacrifices in their relationship have been done by lauren IMO. I actually don't think Lauren is so naturally giving, I think it takes effort from her, which makes it more meaningful IMO and says something about Ben because I don't see the same effort from him. This kid just bugs me. Everything about him. All JMO.

I don't follow the other girls Lauren was with but IMO this Nashville trip didn't seem like over share to me from what she was posting. I woke up the past two mornings to short snapchat stories that were IMO harmless and didn't really show anyone out of control. Idk what was on the other girls SM but IMO there was nothing immature and wreckless about what Lauren was doing. Having a hangover at 27 years old is not uncommon, especially when you don't party a lot anymore. I can get a hangover after 3 drinks these days.

Las Vegas snaps during the filming of HEA warranted some criticism but not this trip IMO.

I find this interesting and I agree. I hope Ben and Lauren make it just as I hope all the couples make it. But along these lines, as much as I root for the couples, I tend to find them either annoying or unlikeable more and more as time passes since their season. I really liked both Ben and Lauren during his season but now I find them both to be attention seeking and kind of immature. Ben's mothers ITM scene was very telling by the way when she said that she preferred JoJo for him because she could "talk him off the ledge." Weird thing for an adult man's mother to want for her son. And yet how prophetic. JMO

Was this Lauren girls trip or there is another one. This is what worries is that Ben doesn't have a problem with her doing these girls trip that he doesn't care

I actually think Lauren is the better match for Ben. The producers can really change things around. JMO I just saw a picture of gen tagged with 2 women skiing today. My thoughts are if Lauren was coming home today why would he be skiing all day? I'm starting to think they are heading to a break up or maybe even already have just going thru the motions maybe for the twins show. Something sure looks off. If they aren't happy then why don't they just call it off. Any thoughts?
