Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #5

^ As has been said a few times, many of us in this thread actually were/are fans, a lot of us just seem to not agree with how Ben and Lauren are coming across lately. So its defintely not a "bias dislike" type of situation. IMO.

@sosleepy I couldn't agree more. I live in England and enjoy coming to this forum for the discussions (regardless of opinions and views) that my own friends won't get because they don't watch the Bach. *EDIT*

At some point everyone is ripped apart around here. IMO, it often appears one receives more criticism when one is a fan of that person or couple.  Or they continuously put themselves out there somehow be it SM, more reality shows, make tons of appearances, etc.

If you don't want the criticism, go back to normal life and don't overshare, IMO, every aspect of your life.  Or allow your friends to do it for you, in some cases.

Lauren is being criticized because it's her thread.  There is also discussion in Amanda's.  The other two could have it in the past cast threads if need be...but it all circles back to and around to the same people being involved.

As always, no one is forcing anyone to read these threads.  Its not difficult to skip them if they bother you that much.  JMOAA

I don't understand the whole "this couple doesn't get as much hate as this couple!" Plenty of these people have gotten hate in their general discussion thread. More of the recent people are going to be discussed and not only that, but all we see is social media. The more you post the more you set yourself up for some talk.

It's not our fault that Lauren overshares on social media with some questionable things. We're allowed to discuss it if we don't like it. All JMO

Hit the nail on the head as per usual. The more you share, the more chit you get. Don't like it? GTFO out of the spotlight IMO. This is the same convo that is continously mentioned in other couples discussion thread too.

Lauren's vain over sharing on social media is the reason people are posting in this thread *IMO*. I don't follow her on any platform but thanks to the stupid fan accounts that repost every freaking thing on IG with #thebachelor tag I see things.

The lighted phone case is ridiculous.*IMO* The constant mugging for the camera is stupid. *IMO* The pouty faces are dumb. *IMO*The filters are excessive. The feigning illness or tiredness when you're hungover is so transparent. I just think she often acts like the sorority girls I knew in college like 6 years ago. *IMO*

Others I'm sure post annoying, ridiculous things too. But I don't follow those people and they don't have fan accounts clogging certain IG tags so I can't comment on that.

@Lennoxcollinrolland Poor Lauren has posted the least on this trip, all these snaps are mostly from lace or Jen . She has lots of those who are not fans hence she gets criticised the most .If she doesn't post on SM than there are speculations of Ben and Her not working as couple and When she does , yet again she is repoed apart. Her bad luck IMO

It's not us that's trying to find a reason to biotch at Lauren, it's Lauren posting all the stupid sh*t she does! She's the one that deserves the "interrogating", not us! She's just allowing ppl to talk about it all, because she's now a "public figure" IMO.

Ok...anyone interested can see all the edits in the last 2 pages along with added IMOs. All of those posts could have simply been deleted.

This is a discussion thread.
The rules need to be reviewed by some members. I would suggest that.
I would suggest as tedious and silly as it sometimes seems an "IMO" needs to be added when adjectives like "silly", "immature" "vain" etc are used. Words that suggest too much angst, negativity or lovey dovey, rainbow hearts bring out the best and worst of members and are subjective.
Using an "IMO" is boring and silly at times, but if it is a subjective opinion vs fact, adding an "IMO" helps defray from making another who feels differently feel targeted and belittled. JMOAA
All opinions are welcome. ALL--as long as they follow site rules.
It is not okay to single another member out, in a disparaging fashion.  You are welcome to add hugs or love to a member however! It is even ok to say I disagree.
Very few members will have the luxury of actually meeting and interacting with their fan of choice, yet we interact here with each other every day. Let's try to remember that reality. We could actually learn something from an opposing opinion. It does happen.

You’re so right. I just feel so sorry for her that’s all, I’m not a superfan at all but I just have a soft spot for her.

I watched the New York conference she spoke at (Caila videoed it) and I saw a very vulnerable side to Lauren and realised there was more than meets the eye when it come to her… IMO she seemed confident and very sweet but you could tell by her tone there was a lot of pain. In her interview with Catt Sadler she explained in depth why she joined the bach, why she had to give up being a flight attendant, how difficult it was dealing with all the changes including moving to Denver especially being so far away from her family, how being and navigating the spotlight has not been easy especially for her family and body shaming (as well as her blog and gave really good advice). IMO some of her SM postings are simply a facade, sometimes a subtle response to her critics and sometimes IMO it's as if she's trying to prove something - I don't know what).
