Exactly. And let us remember that Nick was the one who at the start of the season told the women that he may be the lead but he wanted them to feel empowered to see this as their journey as well. This is one of the fatal flaws of this show and its premise (well one of many). That the contestants don't feel like they can be their true self and challenge the lead because well they're the lead and they can send them home. Well no, in the end, if this so called romantic journey is to work, it's going to be a partnership between two people. So the lead alone doesn't get to ask the tough questions. I remember Nick's own sister, during Andi's season asking him that, whether he could truly be his true self with her because there's that fear of going home.

So if this is supposed to be about both people, why shouldn't Vanessa question Nick's intentions if she feels like she's seeing behavior from him that is not consistent with someone who is looking for a wife to settle down with and have children? At no point did she sl*t shame Corinne or even make Corinne the focal point of their conversation. Hell she accused Nick of grinding on Corinne when it was really the other way around. But the point is Corinne was not the issue. The issue was the two of them and what she, Vanessa is looking for and what Nick said he wanted and she believed he wanted and in her eyes, the behavior he was exhibiting there wasn't consistent with that. And she didn't whine and cry about it. She addressed him as an adult.

I think Vanessa is a good person especially with her job and from the little we have seen on her SM but she reminds me of Whitney. She is already talking about her relationship with Nick like she met him ages ago and not the reality that they have been on a single 1 on 1. I personally like people that are realistic about the process and not those that are In the abachelpr bubble from day one. She pretty much waxed poetic about him on that date. He is this, he is that and then some more. Too much in to short a time IMO.

Unless you see someone saying words at a specific moment, there's no telling exactly when they really said it. In other words, for all we know, some of what Vanessa was saying was from late in the season, maybe all the way to F2 or something. They had a voice over of Nick saying, "that is one of the things I love about Vanessa" - not liked but loved and it was their first date which made me think that too was from later in the season.

But say for argument sake that it wasn't, well Nick was just as emotional and gushy as her so it's hard to really say that she was going too fast or not being realistic because then I guess you can say they both were. As it were, I actually didn't think Vanessa was that over the top. She had an amazing time with him, loved talking to him and getting to know him and him taking care of her and said that. But at no point did she say the "I can see myself falling in love with him" or "I can see myself marrying him" like people usually do. Hell Danielle L. beat her to that with the "I can see myself falling in love with you" and we actually saw her say it to Nick after the group date.

Vanessa said exactly what I wanted to say to Nick the last episode. What are you doing? Stop acting like a big kid.  Be a man worthy of our time and attention. Start leading in a way that would make the women happy to be your final one. Start acting in a way that your parents would be proud. Start empowering women to become their best selves. Start being the man that cares about others. Start being the guy that I was excited about seeing on this "most dramatic season ever"!

Love that Nick was the weepy emotional one & Vanessa was like this stone cold siren!

Also Nick looks stunned & panicked when Vanessa gave it to him..he didn't know where to look or what to say!

Is Nick a legit good guy? Or is he putting up the act that he is a good guy now?

This episode showed that Nick and Vanessa are equals... I love when that happens. There's chasing happening on both sides and it seems that both are very pleasantly surprised and hopeful with what's developing between then. She in turn knows her self worth and is going to hold him accountable, especially when his actions are in direct conflict to the words it seems he's already spoken to her. I think her words will influence nick and make him ultimately reevaluate. He'll have to walk a fine line between putting on a show and being worthy of the woman he's falling in love with. Can't wait to see him walk that tight rope the rest of the season.

There was one part after he gave her the rose where she smiled, leaned in and sort of nuzzled him and just said "you're so cute." There's something different about her. She's such an interesting balance of conflicting traits. Raw but thoughtful, classy and a little crass, confident yet diffident.  Those same conflicting traits are how I've always seen nick. Together they seemed very uninhibited. Her joy last night was contagious. And I think nick caught the bug. I know I did!

I've liked him since way back in Andi's season. I like his self-deprecating humor, how he's close with his family, how he owns up his mistakes, how he handles sm negativity with humor and grace. IMO, he is articulate and introspective. He's not perfect, sometimes I think he enjoys fame too much, but that makes him an interesting person. So, yes, I think with his flaws, he's a good guy in my book. IMO.

@sdmom. Great post! He does own his flaws, admits his mistakes, and makes no excuses. I think he rubs some people the wrong way because like most labeled villains, he is unapologetic of being himself.

I love her! To me They already feel like a real couple and all her lines made this episode for me from the "I puked" to "I'm so happy" "Heartbreak in the end will be worth it" and of course the awesome line "are u looking for a wife?or someone to ...... around with" Nick needs a strong, independent feisty women IMO bring on more Nissa

Adding, I also liked how at the end of dinner he lifted her up to face level and turned his back to the camera. I imagine that was when he unbridled his passion. A memory only they have.

Ahhh Nick,

After an underwhelming (disappointing) start, I was so pleased to see Vanessa pull you out of your stupor. You convinced me in words and actions that she is really someone you’re interested in.

•         The gentle way you caressed her when she got sick.
•         You told her you were glad she was on the special date with you, despite getting ill.
•         The way you carried her out of the plane, her legs wrapped around you.
•         You revealed to her that her presence made you optimistic you could find love
•         You cried on your date when discussing your past, and further, told her you wanted her to ask about it, exposing your vulnerability.
•         You quickly dropped your defenses when she called you out on humping Corinne at the pool party (hope to see how it resolves…). She’s what you said you wanted… a woman who won’t take your crap!

Also, good call on sending Dominique home. Definitely too needy in the circumstances. Better to move on.

Still, not impressed with the way you are dealing with Corinne
•         Not fair that she slept through the RC (I guess this is what happens when Rakel fails to wake her) We didn’t see… I hope you called her on it!!
•         You know other women are watching. Why are you humping her?? What ARE you looking for? Get it together buddy!!
