Nick Viall - Bachelor 21 - Episode 3 Jan 16th - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

What I liked is how Vanessa was as into Nick as he was to her based on her actions (leaning in to kiss him numerous times, physical touch, complimenting him). It was reciprocal. That had to really make him feel good to be on the receiving end of that.

I loved the whole date. The Zero Gravity date was beyond cool. No way other leads weren't envious of such a date. IMO, she was very taken by him. I thought her giddiness was as authentic as Nick's. When she leaned her head back during PI and said "I'm so happy", I had the biggest smile. Sigh.

I think Vanessa is a good person especially with her job and from the little we have seen on her SM but she reminds me of Whitney. She is already talking about her relationship with Nick like she met him ages ago and not the reality that they have been on a single 1 on 1. I personally like people that are realistic about the process and not those that are In the abachelpr bubble from day one. She pretty much waxed poetic about him on that date. He is this, he is that and then some more. Too much in to short a time IMO.
I don't understand why contestants question a Lead about their connections with other people. He is exploring several relationships with other girls so let him! It is not on anyone's place to mention his relationship with Corrine, they can leave if they don't like it. And whether it is said with class or with cattiness doesn't matter. Nick isn't their child or ward. He is a grown man and I'd like to think able to make his own decisions. I am not saying this because I am a Corrine fan, but I just prefer that the Lead be left to make his choices.

I like that Rachel is not shown being a part of the "Corrine fest".
I can see a few people already calling dibs on Nick and this will definately cause conflicts going forward. It is not my favourite season so far because I am hearing a lot of Bachelor-speak and it is only episode 3. All MHO

on getting emotional during his date with Vanessa ~

I didn’t expect to get emotional around Vanessa and thinking back to that moment it was because I felt an incredible sense of excitement, and hope. Starting this journey, I was stressed this wouldn’t work out. Not because there weren’t amazing women, but I just know how rare it is to find a lifelong love. I feel like I had put a lot of pressure on myself to be the best, or be the man every one of the women wanted me to be. But in that moment with Vanessa, it was clear, that if a connection like this could happen this early, then this whole thing could lead to finding the one. I walked away from that night with a new sense of confidence not only in myself, but in this journey … and Vanessa was a woman I would be lucky to have as a partner.

I think after you've had your 1 on 1 with the lead you have every right imo to definitely question them. I understand Vanessa completely. The other girls that have yet to snag a 1 on 1 to me are the ones that are too quick to judge his connections with others. If Vanessa is feeling confident in what she and Nick have then I think that's awesome that she's putting her foot down with the whole Corrine fiasco. She also told him to not even hand a rose to her if that is what he's looking for. I haven't seen any of the other women say something like that. It's one thing to just want to be Nick's winner and another thing to still value yourself beyond the bubble. I think Vanessa is truly in it for Nick which is also why she'll butt heads and speak her mind with anyone that she feels isn't there for Nick for whatever reason. JMO

I usually hate when contestants question a connection with the villian and pull the 'if he likes them, he can't like me because I'm the opposite' card. More often than not, I think if you think that then you aren't as opposite as you want to be.

That said, I thought Vanessa was spot on. It's not about judging Corrine, she's playing her role and I don't expect her to behave more maturely than straddling Nick in a bouncy house. She is who she is. But as Nick himself has stated ad nauseam, it's about how YOU react in situations that says so much. Judging him for his reactions to Corrine (and feeding into her nonsense) is exactly what she should be doing and is different than questioning his connection with Corrine, IMO.

One on one or not should not give anyone the right. You are not his chosen one yet imo. He s still dating and will keep dating other girls.  The isnt an ownership of Nick yet especially as it is only episode 3. IMO. Just because someone hasn't had a date yet doesn't mean they can't win the Lead's heart so it's all still fair game. People should focus on their relationships with him and let his figure things out. Always MHO

I don't think it's about being the chosen one or having ownership, IMO. Ultimately, he's gonna go down on his knee and propose. If you think his actions are not something you like then I think you have every right to question that person before saying yes to them and getting that far ahead on the show.

I agree. I think Vanessa focused on their relationship in that convo. She led with how Nick has opened up about how he is perceived, then she said that it is not about Corrine but Nick's ability to commit to an engagement or long term relationship. Because I believe that in her lens how Nick was acting with Corrine is not a good indication of him being serious in the process. I think in a way she was telling him the qualities she is looking for in a man that she wants to commit to.  I will paraphrase what I believe she meant, "Am I wasting my time because it seems like I'm setting myself up to get hurt in the end? The way you are acting shows your intentions are different than mine." I truly believe their conversation is about the relationship they want to build and nobody else's. All IMO. Total props to Vanessa that she felt comfortable enough in their relationship to question his intent.

IMO it's only natural ... and human nature...for the girls to question Nick's actions with Corinne. From what I've seen all the girls are being quite mature about the Bach process and they seem happy and supportive when other girls get dates or alone time or when upset and we haven't been shown any outward jealousy toward the FIR girl... even when she got the group date rose.. which normally would cause a little stir amongst the girls. Many are there hoping for a connection with Nick personally as they're familiar with him due to all his time on the ette and BIP. I think now that they've been together awhile and have gotten to know Corrinne and seen hows shes acted around Nick, they're beginning to look at Nick and think that if he an be attracted to a spoiled, sleezy, airhead (despite helping her dad with the business, she doesn't seem all that bright IMO) how can he seriously like them? Vanessa was spot on when she said she was judging him, because for me, it points to a flaw in his character to like someone like Corinne. Nick is lucky that hed already had a 1 on 1 with Van as she could have been so turned off at that point and possibly left.

IMO Vanessa was checking which Nick is the real one, the one she had a wonderful 1-on-1 date with, who opened up a lot,and clearly talked how he knows the image his own actions can put out there, and he wants to avoid that that. Or is he the guy 'riding Corinne' during a pool party for everyone to see. If he's #1, she's all in, it would be worth it for her. But if he's #2, she's not interested. She wants to know what he wants, what he's looking for, are their end goal the same. IMO she has every right to question that.
