I noticed that too, it struck me as funny how cozy they looked even while having a serious/tense discussion. I am as gone for them as they seem gone for each other!!!!

There was one part after he gave her the rose where she smiled, leaned in and sort of nuzzled him and just said "you're so cute." There's something different about her. She's such an interesting balance of conflicting traits. Raw but thoughtful, classy and a little crass, confident yet diffident.  Those same conflicting traits are how I've always seen nick. Together they seemed very uninhibited. Her joy last night was contagious. And I think nick caught the bug. I know I did!

They're like mirror images of each other. Two peas in a pod. Soulmates.

Are they really equals? Seems to me she has taken on the role of calling out or what I see as discipline of an errant child. He is like a naughty boy being told off on the naughty steps. It works for some to have a woman who always calls them to order and I sincerely hope Nick is one of those or this relationship will not last past the bubble.

I wish them the best......honestly from the bottom of my heart.
Shades of Whitney and Chris if you ask me but lucky for Vanessa there doesn't seem to be a "Becca" in this scenario.

I really enjoyed the Nessa time and for the first time I see Nick being Nick vs the Bachelor doing his job.

Normally I am somewhat cynical and often bored by this show, but this was one of those rare moments when I actually become hopeful for a couple.

IMO she wasn't trying to "call him to order." Vanessa is trying to figure out if Nick is the right person for her. She doesn't want him unquestioningly or without consideration. For me that conversation was less her disciplining him and more her asking what kind of person he is and what his motivations are because she knows what she wants and if he doesn't align with that then she doesn't need to waste her time. Which is perfectly fair and what all the ladies should be doing instead of wanting Nick just because he's #TheBachelor. JMO

Vanessa like Whitney from CS' season? - IMO, so not. Whitney never asked a question, never bothered to know what kind of a person Chris was, rather what she pictured him to be in her head ... she came on the night 1. already in love with him ... and no offense to her, I actually like Whitney, but that was one thing I was really annoyed with her and kept writing about their incompatibility all season long that after I simply didn't care.
Vanessa didn't arrive in love, but hopeful and mostly "ready to see how far it can go" (not exact words), that doesn't exclude possibility to walk away if she feels he isn't suitable for her. She asked questions, doesn't assume to know and is actually curious about his motivations for the actions he takes. That's a major difference.
Whitney jumped into the bubble blindly and then met the reality post finale ... Vanessa seems to not be in the bubble yet, she isn't putting "the bachelor" on the pedestal ... so that means better chances that reality won't be so difficult to accept and deal with. But then again we all have our troubles daily, so nothing ever sails smoothly.

IMO every woman there has the right to go to Nick, and question his actions. IMO it's not scolding him, it's the woman trying to also find out if Nick has the qualities they're looking for in a guy. He in fact encouraged this from the women.

We saw Nick worrying how the women would react when they found out he had sex with Liz 9 months prior to the show. He wanted them to come at him with their questions. But when he's humping with Corinne in the middle of a pool party, they can't question him? IMO hes acting up with Corrinne a bit because he wants a reaction from the other women. Who starts trash talking among themselves? Who comes to him to talk about Corrinne? And who comes to question Nick himself, asking what he wants.

I also don't see any similarities between Chris/Whitney and Nick/Vanessa, IMO none of tge personalities match, or what's happening on the show. JMO

Hmm interesting comments here - I see how it seems Vanessa is jumping head first and falling for Nick - based on the date I don't blame her. I do think she's quite a big and strong personality and will continue to demand attention from nick in different ways - I did like how she did it with this issue in particular. I get the sense she's going to be quite passionate, and make demands and require attention from nick moving forward...which will be interesting to watch.

Who knows what will happen in later episodes but I'm just not seeing this whole Vanessa demanding attention from Nick thing. We virtually saw nothing of her in last week's episode and that was despite being on the group date.

She was one of the few I thought who didn't go over the top during the wedding shoot to get Nick and the photographer's attention. In fact, I think someone said at one point Nick tried to kiss her and she just put her finger to his lips.

And this episode, it didn't seem like her annoyance was Nick not paying attention to her at the pool party but rather his behavior with some of the women, namely the bouncy castle dry humping.

When she goes to talk to him at the end, you actually see her quietly standing and waiting for him to finish his conversation with whoever it was he was talking to. At no point did I see Vanessa demanding Nick focus on her so I am confused at the notion of her demanding his attention. It makes her sound like some aggressive harpy who thinks he should only focus on her and I haven't seen that at all.

We shall see how the season will unfold - I think she has strong opinions and emotions and she has a personality that is very passionate, emotional and IMHO it will manifest itself the more involved they get in their relationship. I don't anticipate her proactively and constantly drawing attention to herself because she's trying to draw the attention in the way that she's like 'hey hey look at me'...rather I do expect Nick's attention will be very much on her and what she wants and feels and asks and expects from him because of the intensity of the relationship and how passionate her personality appears to be. I see her as someone who jumps fully and completely in something and draws someone else to be drawn into her in that same all-consuming way.

I think Vanessa (and others) were grossed out/annoyed and rightfully so, Nick looked ridiculous with his arms in the air with Corrine hanging on his jock. I'm sure Vanessa is thinking, WTH you were just crying to me last night and then today you're rolling/jumping around with Corrine. jmo. She has every right to question him.

^^ I think Nick's sentiment about Vanessa during the 0-Grav date may be a preview of the attention he will give Vanessa. He said, he is "protective of Vanessa." Perhaps that attention will be obvious to some of the girls and becomes an issue.
