I do think if they ever split this couple is probably is going to get the most bashing from the media because their reality script show. I do think the bachelor producers had high expectations from this couple and ben threw it away with the cancellation of their wedding

Yeah, it's interesting that the friendship is what he kept highlighting when talking about his F2 (and no, I'm not saying he should've picked her, not at all). It just seems as though he was aware himself that this relationship isn't based on friendship in the same way, yet he was too smitten to even think about walking away from it. If the friendship is what's still lacking in their relationship then I can understand him wanting to slow things down. Maybe he's realised that he wants to marry his best friend and is hoping Lauren will turn into one over time. But will she? Some things you just can't force.

BTW, I noticed those strange looks Ben was giving her as well, when she was talking about him always putting her needs before his own. It's like he was thinking "Really?". Either he doesn't believe that Lauren really thinks that or he himself doesn't agree and feels guilty about receiving undue praise. Just the vibe I got.

This 100%. I never wanted Ben to pick his runner up because I wanted a full season of her, but what he said about her - that she was his best friend, he was the most himself around her versus any of the other girls, etc. is what you want in a life partner IMO. It was cute watching Ben and Lauren because they were taken by each other so early on, but there was no depth there IMO. It was very surface level from what I saw. That can only take you so far.

My favorite face Ben made in those interviews was when he was told Carly wanted to look at wedding venues. It looked like he was hit by a truck laugh out loud

on that though I can't disagree with Ben.

If he did it on purpose, then yes. If it was by accident, then no. There's no way of knowing for sure though IMO.

@Lennoxcolinrolland I don't it was an accident I think he choose directly to like the comment how come he didn't like other comments just the one and Amanda's dad is not a stranger he knows something he talks to Amanda a lot

I think you have to have the same humor/goofiness/playful side to some extent with your partner. I think I can say that a lot of the current couples in this franchise have that same humor with one another which is obviously making it work for most. It's exactly what's missing with Ben and Lauren. Everything is so contrived and scripted lately even down to their social media posts. Or maybe they just really are boring and I'm not used to it anymore. JMO
