I disagree. This has always been how Ben uses IG. He has a number of posts featuring Lauren since October that are not related to advertisements. And by advertisements, for him that mostly means those Hope bracelets and H&H. I agree with the assessment above - he actually uses Twitter pretty regularly and posts more pictures there. His Twitter persona seems normal Ben, business as usual. I do think Lauren has cooled it quite a bit with regards to what she posts about Ben on SM, however.

I generally think they are still ok. BUT - we do know they had a scheduled wedding lined up for February, and then backed out of said wedding. So if all is not totally amazing and sunshine and rainbows right now - again, if, well... would I be ok if my fiancé just pulled the wedding out from under me? I wouldn't necessarily be happy, happy, joy, joy right now either. This might be a difficult time for both for captain obvious reasons.

I agree with most of that except when it comes to Ben and his IG. There's a clear difference with how he was posting about Lauren in the spring and summer versus how he has posted about her on his IG the past 3-4 months IMO.

JMO but I get the sense that Ben is a little lost, without a direction in his life, specifically a career. He went from Kaitlyn's season to the Bachelor to the ill advised IMO HEA show, so basically been on TV for about a year and a half? Where does he go from here, career wise? Maybe he does some of his software sales work remotely but with all of the time spent filming HEA and the fact that he and Lauren seem to travel a lot and he doesn't seem anchored to a job, I don't think he has worked that much. The short lived political ambitions were quickly squashed.

So maybe the software sales job he had is no longer available? Maybe he doesn't want to do software sales and is thinking of a different career? Given his strong dedication to charity work, I feel Ben is one who wants and needs a strong sense of purpose in his life and hopefully other than a possible TV wedding, his TV life is over. I don't think he's a fame ho type and suspect he would prefer to fade back to a more private life, moreso than Lauren.

So my read is Ben is a little lost at the moment and trying to decide the future direction of his life career wise. I don't get a vibe that he is unhappy with Lauren.

I didn't say unhappiness, I said tension. It would be nice to see genuine emotion out of them since they generally tend towards the emotionless and bored end of the spectrum.

Showing tension basically = unhappiness. I think they are both good people. I don't wish tension, unhappiness, turmoil, whatever on either, separately or together. They've commited no huge crime here. And I say this for pretty much all the silly couples on this show. Sure I snark on some, but I don't wish anyone from this franchise ill will.

Tbh people will read tension into it either way. Remember the Catherine doesn't say enough, Des doesn't seem happy, Kaitlyn doesn't let Shawn talk...etc . Will be interesting to watch. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Yeah, true that.

If I find a couple boring I just avoid their threads since I'm not interested in what they are up to. Have never hoped to see tension, problems etc in their relationship.

@KB_Mom i agree that Ben is probably at a transitionimg point in life so to say and needing direcrion. I dont know if it pays or not, but he did recently join the board for H&H so he has become more active in the organization in the past few months. That has always been the ideal career choice i could see Ben wanting, but realistically I don't know that it would be financially sustainable.  I think with the tv show, they agreed to it with the idea that it would be a good platform to help shape their lives and establish wanted career paths. Lauren was able to get her blog launch, however the producers pulled Ben's political endeavors off the table and IMO left him scrambling. Now he is trying to figure out where to go from here. I do think they have both been more silent on sm, but only to distance themselves from the spectacle that was the show as to not allow it to affect them personally.

@KB_Mom I think that might be it. You know they say that after a long time planning a wedding and being so immersed in that, brides sometimes find themselves depressed and bored afterwards. Strange example but I think maybe the same thing is happening with Ben and not necessarily because of Lauren. Post Bachelor blues.

I think some tension is a good thing. From what others have said, when there was some tension during their HEA show it was when they came off as most real. That's what I want to see from them instead of their IMO normal emotionless/white wall persona.

Showing off some personality would be nice if they are getting a televised wedding at some point.

Yeah I don't care about their happiness whatsoever, they want to pimp out their lives for shilling and my entertainment?? Please do so. I'm hoping for tension if it's going to be funny for me.
