Remember in S2 when Sarah and Sam had their final date and it was all about
"Will she open up in time"
And she just dug her heels in and didn't.
I still think how funny it was when she started to comment on the crockery in a bored, why are we wasting out time tone.
As long as they are not blindsided - I think Olena will be alright, Alex I'm not so sure on.
I saw Lana at a tourist attraction in Bali last week - new man, out and about, striking poses, looking pretty happy.

LeapofFaith so glad Im not the only one who sees Olena as F1.  Have from night 1.  I think it will come down to who he can not send home.  Blown away with her night 1. His summary of her SD1 at the pool..challenges him, direct, etc.  SD2 intrigues, worth fighting for etc.  She has been present by not obvious.  She stated in an interview it took her some time in the house to get to know the girls but has made friends for life.  IMO she is about to "fly".  time will tell but next week sure looks interesting.

Funny, I have also seen Olena as F1 from the first episode (I still think she is too good for Richie). At the beginning I thought she is getting all the screen time because she would be going home. but she stayed. With this continuing through the 2nd and 3rd episode, I recognised the F1 edit of plenty of screen time but not obvious because it is not in your face. One would think those talking all the time get the most screen time, but no it does not usually happen that way. IMO. The camera pans to a group of girls, then to Olena, then another group, then Olena, then another group then Olena.

Of course jump over other girls statement can be subjective. I'm sure Alex does not see herself jumping over anyone. IMO I think she means she is not going to play dirty. Going to talk to Richie at a cocktail party is not dirty as most of the girls have done that.

Olena is one classy woman, sophisticated, real and has a good head on her shoulders. frivolous is not a word I would associate with Olena. Of course she is nice and pretty too.

If Olena is F1, I can't help but think she deserves way better than Richie after what he did last night with Alex.. as well as the numerous pashes he's had with other girls. I realise he needs to carry on like he's genuinely interested in dating all the others but I'm pretty sure he's doing more than required. I don't remember Sam pashing that much...  If I were her, I'd feel somewhat disappointed. JMHO.

All Bach men pash multiple women (if not all)... even the "nicest guys on the planet", some kisses sometimes aren't even shown (like Nikki's in the last episode, but I bet it wasn't the only kiss of that night, SamW took aside 3 women on the night of "barn dance") ... and Richie is pretty "tame" Bach. More than the physical approach I would be wary of his "acting" (pretending/leading on) ... something all leads do. Time to say "I'm sorry" will come.

IA with HGL that Richie is one of the most tame leads and so far I think he is doing a fantastic job as lead.

Leads will never be universally loved even if they were a favorite contestant before they became lead because of what it means to be a lead and the situation it is (1 guy, many women). It comes with the territory and even more so when the lead seems to be leading on a favorite contestant. It happens each season no matter the lead.

Great leads, imo, are those who don't excuse or justify leading on a contestant but are able to say "sorry". Very few leads do this and most make excuses for leading someone on and instead of just saying "I am sorry that I hurt you" they will say things like "I never was interested in her that much/more than a friend/anyway" despite their leading on which shows a lack of empathy and responsibility for their role as lead.

I am hopeful that Richie will be the type of lead who will be able to show empathy for any contestants that may feel led on and hurt who don't end up as F1.

I haven't seen any other seasons of bach apart from sam w's so I don't have much to compare to, but I see what you're both saying. I think I'm just feeling a little protective of the girls.. I marathoned some of sam f's season and I really like richie, he was so sweet and funny. Yes, hopefully he shows remorse if any girls get hurt from feeling led on...

I actually see the camera panning back and forth to Nikki, not Olena...it's interesting how we all se different things.

The chocolate bath IS one of those dates that if not with the eventual F1 then it's a real downer for the chosen one.  If there is no engagement in the end, just 2 people wanting a relationship, then IMO it makes everything easier after the finale.
I can't seem to warm up to Alex.  I thought she was great on their date.  I liked their playfulness at the factory. I thought Richie was uncomfortable when they began the bath date but gradually relaxed and just went with it. Alex seems to be the one wearing pants in this relationship some of the time. I could see that working for Richie as he was raised by females.
Some of the girls Richie was initially attracted to seem to be fading a bit.  I am biased toward Olena as I appreciate her poise and way of interacting. I also like that she flirts with subtlety and he responds by treating her as if she was delicate and precious. She's the only one that brings out that side him.
Don't know if he will pick her in the end.  I think he is filtering himself to a degree and they may not mess in his real world.

When I heard her say that she was not going to jump over other girls for him I almost died. Olena did not say it in a way that came across that she didn't care but in a way that said she will be doing it her way  :Nod: Take that producers. The way she has handled herself on the show tells me that she would've left if she didn't have feeling for Richie. You can tell by the way she looks at him... like wow, he's a really nice guy and I like him. 

Olena is smoldering fire and there's a spark to her as much as she keeps it under wraps. She literally told him how she felt. Although that conversation was heard, I noticed that they still got along because they had smiles on their faces. Wondered what he said.

I won't be surprised if it ends up being the case I think this season has been a bit different from past seasons because of pre-season sleuthing where we were able to sleuth while filming was happening and so it has helped figure out things that would have maybe been more confusing (like Megan, who was sleuthed to be eliminated before F6 before the season started). It will be interesting to see what happens in the episodes that will align with pre-season sleuthing

Preview for next week.

Richie saying to Nikki "what we have is real" shows me that Richie not only wants to reassure Nikki that his feelings for her are real but also that he gets that there is the "show" and then there is real life and Richie has real feelings for Nikki outside the show. Richie's use of "we" makes me think he already sees Nikki as himself as a potential real life couple.

I also think Olena may get SQT since she wasn't shown in the F7 spoiled pics by DM while the show was still filming.
