Re: Olympics - Rio - August 2016 *Spoilers*
I wish they'd show them live for those who want to watch them. They could still show the big events in prime time. That's how they do it in Canada unless it's changed. So much more satisfying as a viewer imo.
Eta: ITA about your coverage, GA. I really miss it, especially in the Winter Olympics.

Yes it's the same for Winter Olympics, just fantastic. They just previewed men's swimming at 9pm Eastern. Will that be shown live from the US networks or is everything delayed?

Last night I had a dream Simone didn't win any gold! Imagine my relief this afternoon, LOL.
SO proud of all the athletes competing in the Olympics! Too bad only a few of them can win medals. It's a great honor to be there and I admire their dedication, work ethics, and the ability to stay calm under tremendous pressure.

They could show it live but not sure if they do. They go back and forth between sports so it's hard to say. It's really obvious when there's a big time difference and everything in prime time was finished hours earlier. I'd just like to have a choice.

You are so right. I have a sitting job, finishing up some quilted projects and have been watching continually. Trying to decide which is my favourite to watch. Swimming or Gymnastics.? Have even enjoyed Beach Volleyball, which I never watched before. I like the boating races , too. Glad the weather improved today , for them and that Canada did so well.

Michael P is amazing! So exciting to watch him. Feel bad for Ryan who has never beat him in this event, he just didn't have it in him.

That was an exciting evening. I couldn't believe Penny came back to win gold after being 7th at the turn. Also exciting for Simone to also win gold. Michael Phelps is incredible! He won gold and then went on to qualify in the semi's right after he got his medal. And then there's the Simone who's always so impressive. I was so happy that she won the gold in the all-around. Also happy that Ali won the silver after she lost the bronze in 2012. All in all a great night of the Olympics.

GuardianAngel wrote:We are so lucky. We have super live coverage from noon to 11pm, then recap of the days events till 1am. CBC has the best coverage ever. Full of info and back stories.
Twitter @CBCOlympics
and http://olympics.cbc.ca/ are great for any info you need.
There are just so many events that they also have stuff that you can watch live on line if it isn't being shown as it is happening.
I have been watching from 7am to 1am...obviously PVRing a ton of stuff and watching what I'm interested in, but the coverage is great. CBC really does a great job at stuff like this. I loved the Fiji team singing after their win in mens rugby. So great to see a tiny nation like that win a gold. You know it means so much.

You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.
