Olympics - Rio - August 2016 *Spoilers*

There are so many great stories, Lochte and Co won't overshadow the successes of the athletes!

Centro!!!! First American man to win the 1500m since 1908. Hoping this is an omen for other great performances on the track and in the field tonight.

That was an awesome race to watch!

6th straight win in the women's 4x400m relay and the 6th gold medal for Allyson Felix. She now has the most gold medals ever by a female track & field athlete.

And the U.S. Women continue to crush it!

So happy for Allyson !

And the men bring the gold back to where it belongs. #TeamUSA

I've enjoyed what we've watched of the Olympics. There were some great stories on the U.S. and Canadian teams. I haven't been able to watch much of the Canadians unless they medal but always check the Canadian Olympic site. I'm wondering who will carry the flag for Canada? I'm hoping for Penny Oleksiak but Andre de Grasse would also be good. I just heard that Simone Biles will be carrying it for the U.S. Good choice.

Penny will carry the flag at the closing ceremonies! IA bean either her or Andre would have good!

That was a fast two weeks, can't believe it's over. It's been great to have the TV on non stop Olympics. The closing ceremonies are not showing up on my TV Guide listing. I'm assuming it's 7pm 8pm Eastern?

At 7pm the TV Guide says To be Announced.

I always wondered why they don't have a 4 X 200m race.

I don't know, nikikass. I looked it up but no answer.

GA, it's showing at 7-9:30 central on my guide.

They don't do the 4x200 or 4x800 at this level of competition because of time I believe. That and there are a lot more athletes who would be running the 4x100, 4x200, and an individual event(s) which doesn't give the athletes the proper amount of recovery time.

It's similar to swimming only having the 4x100 and 4x200 freestyle relays.
