It took me right to the video, GA. Is it because you're in Canada?

Marrying a smoker would have been a deal breaker for me. It sounds like Derek didn't admit smoking more than occasionally even if you don't count the supposed pot smoking. Funny that Dr. Pepper talked more of Heather saying she didn't mind an occasional smoker and seemed to put the onus on her to look past what she might consider faults. Maybe we didn't hear what she said about Derek though, to be fair.

Yeap. That's why I said I would see how it plays out. I don't think Dr Pepper would be supporting Derek if it were really pot. I think there is more to this story.

I have a theory that she walked away and he got clean. They are dating now. Wishful thinking here. I just think these new experts would try to redeem this marriage.

OOps maybe that's why I can't see the link. Usually it tells me I live in another country and it's forbidden, as if I'm stealing something.

Watching epi 2 right now. They look good together. I hope they really gave it a chance. If it didn't work out, I hope it's not messy, and at least they tried.

I have not had a chance to check their SM's. I think sometimes that can be telling sometimes not.

I just don't see them as a good match even if he does quit smoking. Of course it may be that he's not my type at all and I'm projecting but they seem so different. It will be interesting to see it play out.

Ok -- I saw the clip. The "SMOKING" red flag is "weed" in that conversation, I believe. If you insert "weed" or "pot" after someone says "smoking" including Dr. Pepper, I personally think the whole conversation makes more sense.

One joint a week vs one cigarette a week.

I'm ready to call it that the article is on the money -- she bails over a weed "habit" (because once a week is a habit ... and I bet it's more than that anyway).

Maybe in his eyes, etc. he even comes across as stoned on the wedding day, does anyone agree?

Let us assume the rumor is true. Is it ok to just bail? I am sure most married people have terrible habits that their spouse hates. Porno watching or even drug use. Why not try to fix it before throwing in the towel? I am hoping she expressed her concern to him and not just the talking head. If after discussing it, there was no solution then maybe it's ok to walk away. However I have a feeling she ran because that was the easy way out. JMO

IA @Ruqibabe. I prefer not to see another season where the wife or husband for that matter, just doesn't even want to try. What's her name was horrible, I couldn't watch how mean she was without even trying. It didn't matter at that point if he was a nice guy or not, her attitude was awful.

Whatever it is, I hope they give it an honest shot. If it's one a week or whatever it is a week, if he really wants it to work, then I would think he'd try to give it up.

I know for me that would be a deal breaker for sure. I don't mind compromising in life in general, but there are somethings, that I wouldn't.

Agreed. I totally agreed that would definitely be a deal breaker for me. However if after getting married I find myself in this situation, I would ask for help immediately. Call the experts and communicate with my spouse. He did promise to do anything to make the marriage work. According to the preview, she said she didn't feel any chemistry yet. So I am thinking she just took the easy way out.
I pity him though. He was so excited after meeting her. He keeps posting their wedding pictures on twitter and instagram. He hasn't said a bad word or liked a bad comment about her (yet). He actually defended her on instagram when someone made a rude comment about her wedding dress.
Heather hasn't posted any wedding picture with him. She only posted with her friend and family. Even Ashley posted something during her time. Heather just doesn't seem like the forgiving type. None of her friends filmed Unfiltered with Jaime. I wonder why.
