Ashley I - BIP - Season 3 - Discussion

AI needs to stop going on her jealous rants. Remember one of those quotes from Lincoln about opening your mouth too much.

Most of those contestants express their jealousy in betters ways than she did, without insulting the other person. She just needs to learn that she can't go around insulting people just because she's jealous. Yes, she's spoiled.

Nick is someone AI really needs. I am not an avid follower, but she does refer to him as her mentor. She needs that man as her life coach. Maybe he can straighten her out.

It's unfair for Jared to string her along the way he does. He gives her glimmers of hope but he won't let her completely in. And because AI can't control her emotions and just goes in any direction her heart pulls her, she can't stop herself.

This girl is going to be in serious trouble if she doesn't find a man. I honestly think she might give up on life, like that model Gia Allemand. She really does need a man, like yesterday because that self-pity she has is too great.

Ashley needs a man to distract her from Jared? How would you feel about being that man? IMO it's not fair to anyone that she gets involved with until she seeks professional help.

Wells was walking on egg shells dealing with her. Unless a guy is prepared to be a therapist and deal with "another guy" in her life, there's no hope for her. IMHO

ETA: she's a grown women, she admitted she felt she was being strung along, but didn't want to loose that. I don't buy Jared strung her along. She had a choice.

At least Nick tried? So much for her BFF's who feel sorry for her and console her when she turns on the waterworks. Everyone is afraid to speak up for fear she'll go off on a tantrum.

She's a grown woman who's found a prince. She knows she's being strung along, but he's still a prince in her eyes, and she absolutely must have a prince. Her prince. She's going to follow her heart even if it destroys her, to the very end. Jared is special in her eyes. That is why he must end it. She can't control herself for him. He still has self control. Therefore he's the only one who can call it off. Jared is not the one under obsession. She is.

No disrespect to your post, but he's NOT her prince. If he was, they'd be married and living happily every after. IMO that's the whole issue, he's NOT her's. It's a shame someone can't be friends, because of their obsessive behaviour. If the shoe was on the other foot, and this was a guy obsessed over a woman, the SM outcry would IMO be very different.

She needs someone talk to her like she talks to them. She's a grown woman, apparently really smart, has friends, can act in social situations. She needs a bit of rudeness back IMO. IMO she's a spoiled brat who throws a tantrum when things don't go her way. A manipulative and mean, spoiled brat. She's using Jared and jealousy and protecting him as her excuses. IMO all BS. And she needs to step away from social media and the LA glitter to wake up to the real world, and get away from the azzkissing fans and friends. Jmo.

And no, I don't think she's a totally horrible person, she must have good qualities to her too, but her mean, manipulative side overpowers it all on all the shows I see her on.

He's not her prince. He's a prince. Probably one of the few that she could see herself with. He is a rare animal for someone like her. Her heart and her soul have told her that Jared is a prince. He has given her little glimmers of hope here and there, and he knows she's obsessed, but he keeps her around knowing that she's just a slave to her emotions and her heart.

He's not her prince, but she desperately wants a prince like him. He is special to her.

Jared should not be friends with her for this reason. He knows she's obsessed. Therefore he absolutely must end it. Asking AshleyI to end her obsession is like asking a stalker not to stalk. Rationality doesn't apply.

That's the other reason why Jared needs to end it. If a woman had a man who was obsessed with her, and she didn't want him, how much sense would it make for her to maintain a friendship with a man who she didn't want but was begging and pleading to obsession?

I would think that a woman who had a man obsessed with her, who she did not want to have a relationship with, would end their friendship altogether. If a man can't take no for an answer, then he would simply have to be cut off.

That's why this is on Jared. If a woman named Jara was being pursued by an unwanted man, then it would be her job as the victim/obsessee not to make herself available for her stalker. It is clear. AI does not want friendship. Therefore it makes no sense for Jared to pursue platonic with her.

I don't think Ashley ever matured beyond the age of high school. She has a totally warped sense of dating and of friendship. She is around 28 yo, right?

Ashley is in this situation because she's as mature as a 10th grader and not because Jared hasn't cut the chord...he should do that, but for himself and not because he needs to save Ashley from herself.

Let's be honest that most well-adjusted adults don't get led on to this degree in this situation. Sorry, I'm just going to say it - most well adjusted women at 28 yo would not carry a torch after going to second base once in a year. That torch would dim if he didn't make another move within a few weeks, then it would be snuffed out when he said it was never going to happen. Let me repeat - It was second base. Once. In a year of pining. That's not being led on, that's a drunken half hook-up with a friend. Many an adult has lived through that and it hasn't ruined their romantic life for an entire year.

High schoolers carry that kind of torch and drama around - your world is small, you see the same group every day, and there aren't other options so you have nothing to do but obsess about the same people. Adults have other options and coping mechanisms.

Jared needs to find another woman who will revere him as a King. Ashley needs to find another man to be her prince. I think Jared loves the way she adores him, just as she wants desperately to adore him so badly. Just for some reason he doesn't want to go all the way. So he needs to find another woman who will revere him as much as Ashley does, so he will let her go. And she needs to find a handsome prince to kiss her.

The thing is though, that AshleyI will not let that happen. And Jared is too passive to cut her out of his life. IMO at this point cutting her out of his life would mean walking away from Bach appearances, he doesn't want that either. She cut contact with him, he pulled her back in. They have to stop this dysfunction first, then get involved with other people. How horrible would it be to add yet another person to the mix. Look what they did to Caila. Jmo.
