I wish Ben's parents will be there. Show of support for the happy couple especially after that stupid clip of Ben's mom about Jojo that could very well be taken out of context!

Yes I posted a similar idea yesterday, maybe even have his mum give him a family ring on ATFR to do so.

I highly doubt there will be a wedding. Too much ratings gold to do one later.

i have a feeling that the surprise is them announcing a wedding date - or at the very least, announcing that ABC will televise it like sean & catherine did during their atfr.

It said Ben GETS a surprise, how can that be a wedding ? annoncement of bachelotrette ? setting wedding date ?

I think english not being my native language is catching up to me

The only thing is that other than Trista & Ryan's wedding, IIRC dedicated wedding shows haven't had great ratings. At least weddings from BIP have been combined with other material rather than an entire show dedicated to a wedding. It's possible they feel they would do better building up big ratings for the ATFR be teasing it at the end of the regular episode - sometimes people tune away once they know how the regular season ends.

We really don't know what kind of a wedding Lauren wants - I can't recall ever seeing anything from her. The only thing we know from Ben is that he would marry her "tomorrow" if he could and he said that about 2 weeks ago.

Years ago the couple got a gift. With everyone knowing the outcome, I think they are just using the surprise to get people to watch. I'm not thinking it is very much.

Well, Ben said on WTA that he would marry his F1 tomorrow if he could. So maybe the surprise is that he actually can. I don't really know - just thinking of possibilities.

I could see Ben's surprise being offered the chance to get married on stage, and both he and Lauren decline.
I could also see Ben's surprise being JoJo being announced as the next lead, and trying to get a shocking reaction from Ben. IMO, Ben's reaction wouldn't be that dramatic due to him wishing the best for her and being in love with Lauren.

A lot of people may have heard Caila is the next lead or would never guess JoJo would be due to the track record of the show. By promoting Ben getting a surprise, it'll hook the viewers to keep watching and be shocked the F2 is the next lead since it's only happened once a long time go.

Either way I think the surprise isn't going to be as big as it seems. Ben doesn't seem like a spontaneous guy and Lauren has stated since the first date she's a planner. Plus Ben has said wonderful things about everyone on his season. No doubt in my mind he would support JoJo having a 2nd opportunity to find love like he had.

The surprise definitely won't be as big as what they're making it out to be - promos always make everything look bigger and more dramatised

I don't see Ben's "surprise" being a surprise to Ben at all - whatever it is, Ben's known about it for some time. So, IMO, has Lauren. While it may be played out to look like it's a surprise to Ben, IMO the "surprise" is only going to be to the viewers.
