If his mom makes her decision after meeting both girls, then Lauren's MTP was first. What does that mean?

I think it's a bit disingenuous to say that her previous reality TV experience gave her the extra edge with Ben's parents. It might of helped her in terms of what needs to be said, but to me, the non verbal says more than the verbal. You can easily say you are in love but your eyes tell another story. I think that parents are good judges of character and that the mother in particular would be able to pick up sincerity with regards to a woman's feelings towards her son. I'm not saying she's infallible but I think that mothers do have good intuitions. So, JoJo can front and pretend and say all the right things she wants, I don't think it'll hold any weight. So her previous TV experience to me says nothing. Furthermore, I think her previous TV experience would make her more comfortable in front of the camera but I don't recall her having to face parents and "convince" them as to why she should marry their son. I don't think she has been in a similar situation so I think it's not a fair comparison, IMO.

That has gone through my brain a few times....especially after reading Ben's Fantasy Date blog. Despite the "I love 2 women" storyline, he played up his connection to Jojo much more than I thought he would.

I'm so confused........

Ok. Phew! This preview is messing with me. They usually show a preview in favor of each of them. I said it earlier, do you think the next preview will be of Ben's dad saying he would choose Lauren?

I agree with most of what you are saying except for the bolded. She has gone through a similar situation when her brother brought home 3 girls for her family to me. However I do think from what people have said that Jojo is very personable. When I met my two future DILs, one was very out going and the other was more reserved and quiet so in that case I might have chosen the more outgoing for my son. Lucky for me it was different sons.

I watched the most recent preview six times and IMO it's intentionally ambiguous whether the "surprise" is for Ben or from Ben. I wrote it down verbatim "Ben has one more surprise live"

IMO could be they are going to "surprise" Ben with something or Ben is going to "surprise" us with something.

I put surprise in quotes because what TPTB consider a surprise and what I understand the dictionary definition of surprise to be are usually very different.

With the epidemic of Bach babies this year maybe Lauren is going to announce she's pregnant. Now that would be a surprise ending.

At this point the parents already know who the F1 is. imo When they play the show back they don't want the runner up to feel bad and they can't make it obvious. Ben's mom doesn't strike me as someone that would be dishonest to just go along with the show. I think she is crying because she is torn up about Ben's decision and doesn't want him to be hurt. Just because his mom prefers JoJo that doesn't mean that's who Ben picks. All the parents have to go on is what Ben has said about them and the meeting they have with both of them. Ben probably picks Lauren but I agree with Ben's mom about JoJo.JMO.

Ben to me genuinely seems conflicted.

I respectfully disagree. One parent usually favors one girl and the other parent gives light to the other girl., as we have seen in just about every season. I don't think Ben was conflicted at all. I think he knew very early on that Lauren was his F1. and the parents know before hand as well.jmo
