Regarding the bolded, I thought so too. He's so emotionless saying "I just don't know" and then smiles? I feel like he's sort of bragging tbh. "I have these two amazing women in love with me, life is so harddd *grin*". <- (Not an actual quote.)

I disagree. You don't want to see your partner being in love with somebody else during the time he reassured you that he loved you just as much. I definitely wouldn't call it an easy ride and to me, it would be very emotionally difficult to comprehend it all. And this is not discrediting Jojo's situation in any way, I'm just purely talking about Lauren.

I am just amazed that they haven't eased up on Ben by now. They are going to get their ratings. They're letting him talk about how great it all is while showing a sh**storm. TPTB talk and talk about how he's the best bachelor ever yet they continue to toss out intimate nuggets that I am sure all concerned would rather not have out there for fodder.

IA with this. The summary does say that JoJo was nervous. Being nervous to me indicates she wanted to make a good impression and knew how important Ben's parents are to him.

I feel like the difference between Jojo and Ben's relationship and Lauren and bens is that Jojo is more dominant and looks after Ben almost and the opposite with Lauren and Ben and I feel at first glance his mother would have seen that and wanted Ben looked after but as she gets to know the F1 and ben together will see that they are more of an equal partnership helping each other and it gives Ben more of an opportunity to grow... JMO even though I actually think Lauren does look after ben

Ok I gotta step in here re the bolded. While I do think that TPTB try to manipulate the lead. I don't think they stoop so low as to try to the inveigle the parents to say they prefer one over the next! Maybe what is being said is taken out of context, but this seems pretty clear for me. It could be that the dad would say he favors Lauren and therefore the scale would be balanced. But I do feel these are her true emotions and it hurts her to have to say it for the world to hear. As someone said, to air that footage is just wrong for me - even though I am team JoJo. I think it's irresponsible especially if he chooses Lauren in the end. It's one thing for the brothers/sisters to not approve but to get verbal approval of one over another is the other thing. I don't think that Ben's mom's opinion is based on personalities. As she said it's based on what HE told them about JoJo. She's the one to who reassures him, gives him advice etc. So the mother is looking at what her son NEEDS. It may not coincide with what he wants or feels, but she wants him to have a woman who can support him in certain ways. But, as was said, even though her thoughts were captured, they should have been left on the cutting room floor. It's just highly inappropriate.

Aw I feel sad for Lauren. Must be hard to hear that.

IMO I disagree! If as you say if Jojo is F1, Lauren has been put though hell just the same if not more. The Spoiler being F1, all the crazy instagram comments (Imo they were worse than Jojo's), the paps following her twice, etc.. and she didn't ask for any of it!

I do still think Lauren is F1 for now though

well, it makes sense since he is her only son and she subconsciously looks for somebody who will take care of him/protect him in a way. he is not a dominant personality, that is IMO obvious.

It just gets clearer what they fed Jojo to look so confident walking to the FRC vs what they could have told Lauren Imo. They had so much to both ways.

Maybe that is why Ben in one of the interview said WE put her through hell

Or this could be before they meet the woman and just going by what Ben has told them.

So will they air another teaser tonight during Shondaland - all 3 shows are new tonight?

IMO Ben's Mom's "choice" of JoJo has to be seen also in context that in a prior preview (at end of epi 9?), she was "disturbed" that her son is in love with two women and so conflicted. Context of "choosing" JoJo could be similar to Sean's Mom, that Ben's Mom didn't think he should propose to either if he was that confused, but if she "had to" choose, she would choose JoJo.
