Usually yes. But for Jillian's season she was actually still filming when the season premiered. I think that's the only time that has happened.

The Bachelor usually ends filming around Thanksgiving and doesn't air until mid January. The Bachelorette usually ends filming early May and begins airing late May. The Bachelor has a couple of months to get to know his F1 before the season begins. The Bachelorette has a couple of weeks. The Bachelorettes have a better track record of staying with their F1. The time factor doesn't seem to hinder them JMO

I actually think it helps them some as they don't have the stress of keeping it quiet for so long and can get to their normal lives faster.

I also think overall the better are more open to settling down for real if they find the right one vs the bachelors.

There are so many variables involved in who does and does not stay together. Is the main there for the right reasons? That might be numero uno. Is the final 3 there for the right reasons? 
Given a good coupling with both looking for a mate, I think the odds go up regardless of time frame.

When did filming end? Show starts on 5/23 right? How much time would the lead have with F1 prior to the show premiere

The time frame between finish and airing depending on season could be days to 2 weeks. I think Jillian's season went right up to the wire. 
As far as how much time the couple spends with each other during that time frame, I guess it varies season to season.

I wonder if there's a psychological reason for the female lead getting less time with her F1 after the wrap vs the male lead? One extra month means at least 2 more times together before the Finale.

No I really think it's just the standard TV/filming schedule. Since they use repeats they have to wait to start filming until after the Bachelor is done showing in TV. Bachelor they complete prior to the holiday season so they have 2 months together prior to the show starting vs weeks. All imho

Has anyone heard if there will be a Bachelorette live like After Paradise and Bachelor live? Did they scrap this because no one was watching?

Guess we'll see more monkey humps from Jojo where she wraps her legs around the guy whilst he carries her. It just reminds me of Shayne Lamas

It has absolutely nothing to do with what the lead wants. It's just the filming schedule. The Bachelor films from September-November and then they all are home in time for the Holidays. The show starts airing right after New Years. The Bachelorette films from March (almost immediately after The Bachelor finale) -May. Then it immediately starts airing within a week or 2 (exception: Jillian who was still filming even when her season premiered.)

What it means is that The Bachelorette couples have 2 months in hiding and seclusion vs the 4 months that Bachelor couples have. I actually argue the shorter time frame for 'ette couples actually works out in their favor. That's waaaaaay less time to be long distant, hiding out, safe house visits, etc. You don't have that random month between filming and the show even starting to air to deal with. It's just less time to let this new baby relationship fizzle out. You go straight from the show and only have to endure 8 weeks of that vs. 16 weeks that Bachelor couples deal with.

Who knows if this is true but found this comment under RS final 4 spoiler blog post...apologies if discussed elsewhere.

This was discussed when those rumors of her in college came out.
