Re: The Bachelorette - Season 12 - JoJo Fletcher - General Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers* - #2
I did see SOME, but not all, of Monday and Tuesday's shows despite the week I am having. (And, gee, thanks for all the support! I wasn't expecting it all.)
A couple interesting things...
Jo-Jo reminds me a lot of Ashley in the way she talks. Both often say "I hope the drama is over with and we can all move on" and "I just want the guys to enjoy this" like some Mother Hen. This to me is code-word for "I have already zeroed in on the guy I want and the handlers won't allow me to have a 1 on 1 date with him yet, so we've got to keep this show going"... although Ash's Jay-Pee did get two 1 on 1 dates on account of the two struggling to keep their hands off of each other and, let's face it, Ashley had NEEDS, baby!... and they still had to push "I will try my best not to think about Bentley but I still think about Bentley all of the time" until he boomeranged back to Hong Kong. (*chuckle chuckle* My avatar picture is Chris Harrison examining the Hong Kong banana just after he tells Ashley that Bentley is in town. "Stop! Are you serious?" Ashley was such a cutie in her reactions.)
Unfortunately I missed most of her date with Chase. I think he's a front-runner of sorts. Not the one at the top of her list necessarily, but at least on equal footing with Luke. Problem with Chase is that he is hidden a little too much to actually qualify as a "hidden" F1. Maybe when their scenes are uploaded online, I will watch them carefully to see the body language.
Luke got The Proposal Rift music (a.k.a. the Ryan & Trista music). The F1s get this, but also often F2s and others as well. Also when it was playing, she was discussing what she wanted in a relationship rather than HIM... so that probably rules him out of F1. Similar case: Desiree discussed what she wanted in a relationship when this music was playing on her date with Zak W. in Barcelona, but she was discussing Chris Siegfried as "husband" material when it was playing on his hometown date later. Regardless... going by THE EDIT... Luke and Chase are either both in her top 4 (since I have not been spoiled this season and going into this totally blind) or one of them leaves just before hometowns in a rather emotional (for her) decision.
Again... if I had to pick a F1 at this point, all signs are pointing to Jordan. Don't know his middle name, but apparently he is not called Jay-Pee here. That "I can't read him" business... or whatever... doesn't make much sense, but I guess the editors need an "obstacle". If he is F1, he will need an obstacle other than Chad, who is only a temporary obstacle. Because I have not been spoiled with the social media, I have no clue how these guys are behaving online as the show broadcasts. The fact that Chad threatened to find Jordan post show would make me guess is that he was told by his handlers to expose himself on the media rather than stay hidden regardless of his status. (Usually front-runners lay low, but we can't view this season like others on account of Chad.)
Regarding Chad... I still think his bark is worse than his bite. Amusingly another contestant brought up Donald Trump. Ugh! There is no avoiding that man on TV. He dominates every news station and even the Bachelorette! Yet The Donald is accused of making up stuff on the campaign trail that means very little... as Chad's threats that he will come after people. Does he even know everybody's addresses? He didn't exactly attack Evan physically on that group date from how it appeared... and they sure are reminding us how many times The Good Male Enhancement Fixer Upper has a lot of bleeding problems that don't involve anybody touching him. I also found the comments of Chad doing this show "just to be on TV" interesting. He is behaving this way to make some sort of statement... but I don't know what it is and what good it will do, because I seriously doubt that anybody in Harrison's Bachelor Nation feels all that affectionate towards him.
It is blatantly obvious why Jo-Jo has kept him as long as she has. SOMETHING about him reminds her of an ex-boyfriend... possibly the one attempting to crash Ben's season with hometown flowers? The handlers selected Chad as a key player on this show for Jo-Jo to "work out" for the cameras her relationship problems. As she said on the sex comedy date, she wants her man to be "physical" and not too much of a "gentleman", but sometimes her seeking too much of the "physical" may have gotten her into some not-so-nice and potentially abusive relationships. I dunno... I am just guessing here. She says Chad is still upset about his mother's passing, but Jo-Jo seemed more upset about it than he was! She probably feels sorry for guys who are "troubled".

Great insight JBF, hope this silly show was a good break from your real life drama.

Awww... thanks.
It has been... moderately... entertaining. I agree with others that it is too much of a carbon copy of past seasons. The first third is really just The Chad Show.

Many have thought that this season is a snoozefest. Perhaps so. At this point, I don't see any real substance in any of these guys (JMO) and so perhaps the Chad drama was conjured up to keep us watching to see what would happen with him. We've wasted four episodes on Chad which puts us almost halfway through. So far all the conversations (except maybe last night with Luke) have seemed very surface and uninteresting.
Again, this is just my own personal observation.

Something has been bothering me. I keep thinking back to RS post from a while ago about the sex talk date. The descriptions of what was said were really disturbing, so as I watched the episode, I kept trying to determine who was who from RS' description.
What's bothering me is: Is Wells the vibrator in the azz guy?
They only showed a brief shot of him with his leg in the air making fart noises.
Ugh, he's so adorable and this would be so disappointing to me.
Anyone else notice this?

They didn't air JoJo's sex story. That has to be good for her.

JoJo's sex story wasn't even close to being "sexual" in the first place IMO.

Haha you made me look back at RS's spoilers for that just in case since I like Wells too. Alex was vibrator in azz guy. Wells' story wasn't about sex at all. It was about him getting a colonoscopy and he joked it was the worst threesome ever.

I'm sure that segment was highly edited. It's not cable tv afterall

Didn't they have to make up stories and not relate totally true events? If made up, I wonder what those stories reveal about the dudes? Also because I skimmed though, did Jordan's story get aired? Also, whether it's made up or true, how does this date help Jojo be open about sex talk with the guys other than what they're into or want to be into? I know this date was picked by producers but it was low class imo and highly edited.

So lets be clear: Chad is not my cup of tea. He definitely needs counseling. But, IMO, he was pushed to his limits.
This said, I think the guys acted like kids at school always mocking the guy behind his back. What strikes me is Jordan's reaction versus Chase and Alex. He looked like a little frightened kid. So in group, he is at ease to poke and tease but not sure if alone he would have had the same courage IMO
