And Kasha - I think we are of about the same era and in those days that was what dating was. I'm not sure it's changed much.

For a very short period of time (ages ago) I went out with 3 different guys, they too dated other girls. All nice young men, but no big feelings were involved. Then I met my now husband and after our first date ended it with all other guys.

Many eons ago I fell for two Very different guys .. At the same time .. Ultimately Was the most difficult and painful experience of my life .. One was a very long term guy who was away a lot in the military and the other I met and the attraction was deafening .. Many nights of lost sleep .. And lots of tears .. Eventually I had to make a choice .. But in hind site it was the wrong choice .. And eventually I ended it .. I knew I had really hurt the other one who was a wonderful man .. Which I regret to this day .. Took me a long time after that to be able and ready to allow myself to fall for anyone else .. Which BTW was a love at first sight kinda thing .. I KNEW after our first date that I would marry him .. And I did .. And still am.....

I was a teenager/20 something in the mid/late 70's. So I'm laughing while reading this. I would go to a party with one guy and leave with another. Very common. That's what dating was.

I haven't ever been in love with two people at once but I don't think it's impossible.  The problem I have is him being wreckless enough to say it to both of them in this situation. Dude, you're on national tv and you've been on 3 dates with them. I don't care if it is a manipulated reality and there's a bubble yada yada yade.....show some emotional maturity, for god's sakes!  Care enough about these two women to keep your pie hole shut until you figure it out.  

Also, going to step up on my soap box here, I've noticed with my 15 yr old daughter that kids these days throw around "I Love You's" like nobody's business.  In my opinion, the phrase has lost it's meaning and has become very cheapened.

Anyone can say ILY, but for me showing love is through actions. You know the old saying, "actions speak louder than words."

Well, to be fair, Ben is 26. He's practically fresh out of college. He's had his mature poker face on until now, but I'm finally seeing his actual age and lack of life experience shining through. I still think he's a good guy, but just incredibly short sighted and wreckless with the throwing of ILY around.

Hasn't most every thing lost meaning? Turn on the evening news. More and more hit and runs--pedestrians, not vehicles. Last night the news said the severity of the crime was less, so people take off rather than stick around. In vogue--public slashings. Leaving home? Make sure you have your wallet, phone and box cutter? Bullying much? I'm not talking middle school, I'm talking about politicians. This is a strange civilization we live in.
