If they want an F1 or F2 to be likable, they won't air heavily opinionated things, even if they said them. We have no way of really knowing.

I'm always suspicious of things we hear without a face becuase of frakenbiting, but this one did seem to be seen with Caila's face and it seemed pretty clear that it was her saying those words and in reference to Jubilee's date. The "that was almost offensive to hear"? Definitely possible it was about something else entirely as we don't see a girl actually saying it.

I agree with you that it wasn't that bad and I think it was kept in to play into Jubilee's negative edit/downward spiral. Maybe Jubilee does something "bad" later on, but I just didn't think that this was worthy of any criticism. I feel like if the girls had heard Lauren's "I miss the mansion, can you drop me off actually?" to Ben, they would have had the same reaction. They just take things too seriously sometimes! I admit, I prefer people like Ben who are nice and empathetic towards everyone.

IA, it doesn't seem like there was any editing involved in what Caila said, I was just making a point to manipulate the clean/nice opinion you said you would give, and I made it sound snippy for fun No matter how nice/cordial of an answer you give to production, it's in their hands to edit. You make a good point that if you give them little to work with, they might not bother altering your role & mess with someone else instead.

When Lauren says what she does in the plane alone with Ben - she's clearly teasing him and has done so since night one. Jubilee wasn't teasing Ben.  Maybe because she was scared, she let it slip.. but I do think it came off like a wrong-place/wrong-time kind of joke to the others, who may not have known her fear. Yes, I agree, they do get caught up & take things too seriously, but then they're also coached to do so constantly. Does anyone really rise above it? I love Ben, but I'm sure even he had some footage end up on the cutting room floor. It's probably minor, but still

I'd argue that ITM comment is no different than Caila saying it looks like Jubilee is ungrateful for her date. Both are simply narrations of what they were witnessing... and yet both can be taken out of context, as "catty" or "mean" if you ask the right person. Perception is everything.

It's also easy to say that I would answer better, if I were asked the question in an ITM... but I wasn't on the show, I've never met Ben or for that matter dated him. So my opinions about the actions of Jubilee aren't as weighted as Caila's would've been. JMO.

I don't think what Jubilee said was that bad, nor do I think what Caila said was bad. I don't really see why Caila was offended, it was a joke. There might be more we're not seeing, as to why Caila maybe doesn't like Jubilee.

What was bad about that? They were bobbing for apples and poor Jackie really looked like she was trying and definitely wanted to get the apple but just wasn't getting it. I didn't see anything malicious or nasty in that comment or Becca's tone. It seemed all in fun and humor.

That's not how these women sounded talking about Jubiliee's comment. That idiot who went as far as saying the comment was offensive made me roll my eyes very hard. I'll be honest, I'm what they call a "wrong reasons" viewer.

If a love story actually comes from this stupid show, then great, whoopee for the couple. But I mostly watch for the train wreck, so seeing these women get so serious about some guy they barely know always just irritates me. Jubilee was visibly nervous and on edge and made a not at all serious joke to try to calm herself down.

Stake and drag her why don't they. Calling that comment offensive, really because god forbid someone even joke about not being super duper happy about being with Sainted/God Ben. Like shut the hell up. I wonder how sheltered and delusional that woman is if she thinks that is an offensive comment.

IMO those who play along with tptb are those who might be considered for b-ette- and they realize it. Those who realize they're making a tv show and make it easy for production are well-like (by tptb) and treated well when the editors do their thing. What Caila said was not overly offensive and yet moves the story along- it would be used or not depending how things play out. It will be interesting to see if we actually see that on Monday night or whether it was just in the preview on the website which some will see and many won't.

My point in posting Becca's comment was that it could be taken negatively..**edited***  I personally found nothing offensive about it either.

I'm not up in arms about Jubilee's comment either. I got that it was a joke. ***edited**
**edited** Ben chose to give the 1-on-1 to Jubilee who is joking about giving it away.. and doesn't even laugh afterwards to indicate that it's a joke.

I also wouldn't take every word that's said so seriously and literally. I'm willing to bet that whoever said it, simply couldn't think of a better word to describe her annoyance.. so threw out "offended" without even thinking twice about it.
I'm also willing to bet that all the ladies will be watching it next week and laughing about how upset they got.
