I just can't imagine that Ben would be insensitive enough to sleep with Caila and then refer to her as a "sex panther" on national tv knowing that his F1 would inevitably have to cope with all of this. Could he really be THAT big of a douche?

Ugh. All I wanted was this season to be wrapped up nice and neat and served on a shiny silver platter of love for all of us to enjoy. Why do I always get my hopes up?

Since the very beginning they were showing Ben's infatuation with Lauren. I knew something was up. Plus, Fleiss tweeted just a few days after the season wrapped up it's filming that it was his favorite season since Jason Mesnick's. That right there told me that Fleiss was thrilled with how things played out, which is unfortunate since it's at the expense of the F2 women and Ben. They sign up for it though. It's all about what happens after filming anyway. IMO

Not just that but on Ellen, when he was asked to describe these women with one word, he said JoJo was "passionate", Caila "sexy" and Lauren "sweet". I didn't think much of that since he picked Lauren and "sweet" is a nice word, but if he did have sex with the other two then yikes. Talk about insensitive. I really hope this is just TPTB stirring the pot and Ben kept his pants on.

I think they can show their strong connection without risking anything because IF/WHEN they through in some doubts (as they just did) people will still question what they see so they still get the drama. A lot of us here have been waiting for their "problem" to be delivered. Now we have one (can he trust her) and I`m pretty sure they will show some kind of tension during their talk on their date to make us feel unsure about them (all shopped together).

Look I don't dislike Ben for any of this if it's true. I just find it hilarious that it was beaten into the viewers heads that he was so perfect and such a gentleman and now there's the possibility that he not only told his F2 he loved her but he also may have slept with her as well. I mean we've had male leads tell their F2 they loved her and we've had male leads sleep with their F2 (and F3), but how many have done both? Now it turns it turns out the Perfect 10 Ben of all men may have done so! This show is so much better when you look at it as a complete joke.

This is why I say they should've just gone with Nick. He had a lot less to lose than Ben did and isn't as image conscious. Hell perhaps they should just go with Becca next season. At least we know she won't sleep with anyone and given that she's never been in love before, I doubt she'll throw an "I love you" out there so easily.

Per the first bolded: When the viewer realizes this is the goal of TPTB, to outrage, be the most ____________, jump that shark and not be a warm and fuzzy romance, things will go down a lot easier and more smoothly.
My personal feeling is the reason it took so long for Ben's contract to be finalized is TPTB had a much harder time figuring out wtf they were going to do with someone so "perfect". So they made him--not so perfect in the avg viewer's eye.
Per the second bolded: Never estimate TPTB.

No doubt they'd just find a way to further smear Nick, or whoever they chose. No one is safe .

If it takes a Bentley to bring out Becca's passionate side then I'm all for it. She's been wasting her time with these so-called "nice guys" like Farmer Douche and Perfect 10 Ben. Go for the bad boy this time, Becca. Hey it could be interesting! :winkie:

Yeah but at least it would've been expected. Oh Nick slept with someone? Been there, done that. Twice.

Thanks Sophie. :cutesmile!: I made the mistake of getting a little too invested. I feel much better now.

I think Nick would have still managed to surprise us by doing some crazy and controversial! He'd probably be saying ILY to Jojo and trying to sleep with her on the first night! He'd be like the real life version of the lead on Unreal. It definitely would have been a crazy, train-wrecky season.

I also think that even when the lead wasn't universally loved and put on some kind of pedestal, like Jake, they still managed to surprise people with how awful they were. Sean's really the only one in recent memory who ended his season being just as well-liked as he was in the beginning.
