I wouldn't say she's in the friendzone any more than anyone else not named Lauren B. I mean that was some serious french kissing at the end of their date.

But like I said in the episode thread, he's clearly wary of her, because of what happened last season. This is a guy whose biggest fear is supposedly being unlovable and then there's this girl who was in the F2 and never fell in love. He'd be foolish not to be a bit skeptical. BTW, I thought it was interesting how he said that Chris was ready to propose to her and she wasn't feeling it (forgot the words he used). Seems like even Ben thinks he would've picked Becca if she'd been all in. Anyway, if Lauren wasn't there then maybe he'd be more open to changing his perception of Becca, but she is, so he's not motivated enough to truly explore his options. With JoJo there's some obvious sexual chemistry, the kind he's unlikely to have with a virgin, and Caila keeps attacking him with her lips any chance she gets and he's obviously not gonna say no to that. I don't think he's that into her otherwise.

I also don't think there was anything wrong with what Becca said about her feelings on Chris's season. Of course she wasn't as into him at this point in the show, since she didn't even get a 1-on-1 until episode 6! And she clearly started out more interested in Ben anyway, which is perfectly understandable. She never led Chris on in any way, she was honest with her feelings until the end, so it's not like she said one thing last season and another thing now. She liked Chris, but he didn't give her the butterflies Ben obviously does.

On the second video becca said something "I meant it" then kiss and ben made this sound like a "moan" waaaaa I'm giddy watching the video many times. I dunno, it surely breaks my heart to see becca getting hurt if Ben will send her home. I feel like she's really have feelings for him. She told ben last night that she really like him and Ben has this big smile after hearing it.

Ben isn't a good actor, but I applaud Becca's efforts to show she isn't terrified of touching a man while on her second reality dating show. She has worked very hard to show she is ready for adult love, can make a commitment, believes this process can work... Wait a minute! I'm describing a contestant auditioning for the Bachelorette role! 

Maybe Entertainment Tonight doesn't precede the Bachelor show in all markets, but it does where I live. Some viewers seem excited about what they see as Becca & Ben making a real connection during the date. The segment on ET explains that their crew was there the entire day to film. They are actually directing the action, poses and shots we see of Ben & Becca. So much for spontaneous connection and bonding. 

Ben has the unique ability to connect with each contestant "where they are". This gift combines with a caring heart, large amounts of empathy and sympathy with no condescension. You can see him connecting with so many diverse personalities / needs with Jubilee, Emily, Amanda and even needy Lace. Ben is doing a great job keeping himself open to each contestant and exploring the possibility of a real-world relationship. It just a'int gonna be with Becca.

Yup I think a lot was and has been left on the edit room floor but what was shown was still enough for lots of viewers to see way more than just friendship between these two (although not at all what is with Lauren B but I don't see anyone at that level so it is pretty moot, imo). However, looking at this date and from Becca's point of view, I could see her thinking Ben really liked her. Heck, no guy is going to make out with me like that unless he likes me enough to want to do so. And Ben initiated plenty of those kisses.

E Online's tweets about Becca's date. There's a ton of other ones from different people/sites but lots rooting for Becca and on her team and stating they see a connection between these two.

Becca saying she cares more this time around IMO is another example of how childish she is. She couldn't think of anything better to say? I don't feel bad for CS in the least, but that statement was totally hypocritical to her performance on his season.

How so? I never saw her exaggerate her feelings for Chris, not once. It's clear she's more into Ben than Chris, so why can't she say it when her ability to feel is being questioned? Ben brought up last season and doubted her ability to fall in love because of it. What could she say at that point to reassure him other than the truth? She didn't even blame her lack of feelings last season on Chris, she said she herself was too closed off and scared of getting hurt.

Had to say something to justify returning after saying the show format is too fast for her, but agree surely she knew this question would come up (legitimate question for Ben to ask IMO), and that's the best she could come up with?

That season, all I saw was CS and Becca more into each other than he was with any other contestant. She told his mother she was falling in love with him, but was afraid he'd dump her because she didn't want to make a move to Arlington until she was sure.

She wanted her cake and eat it too. If he would have offered to date, she would have been there IMO in a heart beat.

Becca IMO is into Ben Higgins as much as she was into CS, solely for the attention. She was in a mix of possible returnee's who lucked out and was the one chosen. Rather than being heartbroken about not being Mrs Higgins after she was eliminated, she chose to tweet in a manner that showed her immaturity. JMHO's

Maybe I heard her wrong (I didn't go back to rewatch), but I thought Becca was implying she cared more at this stage of the process...meaning she's aware that she's letting down her guard sooner than she did the last time. Anyway, this was my interpretation of what she said.

I'm neither here nor there with Becca this season. I think I have Becca fatigue. That said, I still think she was legitimately there for Ben...and I think she legitimately tried with Chris. I don't sense she's fake, but I'm tired of her trying too hard on SM. I don't experience her as being as "solid" on the inside as I once thought she was. That opinion is being formed by what I see on SM vs. how she appears on the show.

I thought her comment about not caring as much at that point in the previous season was rude and I wonder what Ben really thought about it. His questions of her make me think even more that he didn't want her to come on this season. I think he likes Becca well enough but he kisses everyone he has a date with so still see her in the friend-zone in comparison to Lauren B, Jojo, and Caila.

Ben kissing her doesn't really mean anything to me tbh, he is kissing everyone at this point, and he did kiss Amber, soooo. He looked awkward at times, she was doing all the touching not him. I also think he felt awkward talking about the virgin stuff. Ben chose not to stay a virgin for a reason, and I don't think he was ever going to pick a virgin. I felt like their whole date was scripted by producers, and Ben talking about what they told him to for her storyline. I feel a little bad for her (and Amber) because I don't think she ever had a chance, but was lead to believe she did.
