The Bachelorette - Season 12 - Potential Lead - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

It's funny that TPTB want a non-white lead at some point yet the viewing audience or those that use SM keep pushing for something different. Jojo and Caila are the only two who can somewhat break that mold. But, don't they film soon ATFR? If Jojo was hurt badly, seems weird she'd confront Ben with the pain then bounce right into filming? If she's the Bette that is.

Amanda I think might be 1/2 something as well...jmo

According to RS in his post today, he's hearing it's between JoJo and Caila for what it's worth. I think that has been pretty obvious though.

Yes, I think her mom looked Hispanic or perhaps Indian, not sure.

RS said in today's column, he still doesn't know anything about the Bachelorette. He heard it was JoJo, then two days later heard it was Caila. He says he can't figure out how they can swing it being JoJo, so his GUESS is Caila .

RS has never had a great track record about knowing who the lead is. He thought it was going to be Ryan when it was Ben F, said it would never be Juan Pablo, said it would definitely be Britt, thought it would be Shawn or Josh instead of Ben H, etc. I think he mostly just guesses.

I still think he's making the f2 thing into a bigger obstacle than it really is. They can just make the announcement on GMA the next morning or DWTS, like they did with Brad. I don't see them going for the least popular girl in the F5 over Jojo, but who knows? IMO.

That's always been the problem with going with F2 as the Bette - but I think they only need to rewrite the story line for the ATFR show to change that. If JoJo would be seen as quickly over it, learned so much from it, yada yada and respects the tough decision Ben had to make without confronting him, they could easily pull it off. These people are very good at making lemonade out of lemons.

^^ exactly. Have Jojo come out all happy and optimistic to find love because she learned so much from the experience. Talk about how happy she is for Ben etc etc. I think they can pull it off. She's a much better choice than Caila IMO.

But with all the tears we see in letting her go at the Finale, no doubt she cried and even let Ben have it. She won't go quietly imo. Hard to reconcile bouncing back ATFR, then announcement made and Jojo is ready for her chance . Or, in her pain they ask her to be the next Bette and she agrees. Staged of course. Ugh though, we'd have to see her brothers again, being bigger hypocrites then they've shown as their sister now becomes the "brain washing " lead to a group of guys.

If they can pretend like Ben can be heartbroken over JoJo one minute and happily proposing to Lauren the next, I don't see why JoJo can't appear on ATFR almost 4 months later and be announced as the next lead. The timeline for everything is ridiculous on this show, yet they manage to sell it as believable. I don't see a problem.

Yeah and all we'll hear on her season is she was blindsided by Ben regurgitated over and over. Another ughness for me. Wonder what kind of guys will be on her season ? Doesn't she give her preferences? Or will we see another farmer ? I can see why they'd want Jojo. I'm just not sure she'll be in it for a hubby. Mo
