Josh Murray - Bachelorette 10 - Discussion - #9

IMO, it's possible he did the show for money for Sable but TBH, it's unlikely. Why do a dating show again? Why not something along the lines of fitness? He could have continued of do a series of charity cases to make up the money if it was for Sabel at the time. I don't care what the cause is, it's not worth selling my soul over. Will I rob a bank to pay for my dog to get well? No. And I won't do a show either that brings my name into disrepute either regardless of how noble the intentions. But this is all my opinion again.

Since we haven't seen the show, I will wait and see if it is just bad or so bad it is good. Regardless, this is about the same as a tell all book to me.

This one thing doesn't outweigh all the good Josh tries to do with his life.

I may be in the minority but I don't see anything wrong with Josh or any of the former cast members participating in other shows. I'm happy they do! I get involved with their personal stories and I'm glad they take me along for the ride. Good, bad or different, I like following many of their journeys.

For someone who, in my opinion, seems to be very concerned about his image, this show just makes him look bad... but maybe it's not such a bad thing.  This show might give his fans more insight as to who he really is. We only get to see a part of who someone really is when they are a contestant on the bachelor or bachelorette. They might look good on the bachelor but when fans see more of them, that opinion might change.
I also think that former contestants don't have to do another show to continue to share their lives with fans. Another show is all about fame. Ashley and JP haven't done anything else on TV but they share their story with fans on social media.

Josh never struck me as someone who was concerned about his image. In fact, he has lots of criticism for things he does and says. I believe he owns who he is and just strives to get better like the rest of us. He is far from perfect and according to his posts doesn't want to be seen as better than others. I don't believe going on multiple shows means someone is necessarily interested in fame. If I were single I think it would be a blast. Josh seems to enjoy meeting new people and doing fun things. Why not? And to be paid to do it, I would think there was something wrong with you if you don't do it. To each their own.

Just my opinion, but millions of people meet new people and do fun things without being on a TV show. A show really isn't necessary for that. Imo, whenever people choose to go on a TV show, it's about fame or money but I think it's usually both.

If he did a fitness line or trained other people that takes time. If the money is for the expensive bills that Josh has had to pay for. Doing this show would of been quick money for him. IMO since we have not seen the show I would not say he has sold his soul. I have three dogs myself and if they were in Sabels condition I would do anything for them. They are part of my family .... JMO

Yes, the show was filmed a couple months before Sabel was diagnosed with cancer.

The caring, loving, loyal side of Josh that we see with Sabel and his family, is the version I like.  The immature, jock, idiot moments...not so much.  No ones perfect and I think he's still got some growing up to do, but overall he's got a good heart...so maybe he'll get there.

IMO, Josh did the show for Josh.  Now whether it was to extend his 15 minutes, get some more attention for both himself and his advocare crap, for the money, etc... I don't personally care.  The cast and preview look like a train wreck waiting to happen.  So whatever his reasons, I think he's in for a bumpy ride and lots of criticism.  Hope he's ready for it and there better not be any complaining about his edit, etc.  JMOAA

I am sure some of his fans will be working over time to defend him from this trashy show.

Sabel got sick several months before the show and I am sure the vet bills were adding up. She started her chemo in January and had to have her leg amputated. George Lindsay has posted on this thread about the timing. So he could of needed the money and did the show. Like George has said it would not matter what show Josh did he would be criticized for it. Josh has a great heart and has done plenty of charity work for others. I am sure he knows he will be criticized for doing this and probably does not care. He also said that he does not consider himself better than others unlike someone else thinks. He is the type of person that to me would get along with anyone. JMO

I just checked and Josh finished filming the show on Nov 24th and he found out Sabel had cancer on Janury 13th.
