Becca Tilly - Bachelor 20 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

If Ben and Becca genuinely hit it off and have chemistry - great. I'm all for watching a real love story and with these two kind hearted people I'm sure it would be a pleasure to see.

But if "it's" not there my opinion is why would that be a good story line for TPTB? We already had the same F2 come out of the last 2 Ette seasons at the expense of screen time for what could have been BachNation favorites. I think Becca was liked but not any overall great fan favorite and we've already seen her do HTD, FD and an FRC. I don't need to see that again personally if she's not F1. I think it's lazy boring storytelling by TPTB and would be boring to most viewers compared to a new final 2.

So if she's F1, great. If not, I hope RJ and RS are right and she leaves soon so new characters can rightly be the stars of a new season.

I completely agree relaxing! I could see them having a great connection but if they don't I hope Ben sends her home sooner rather than later.

I'm new to the whole Bachelor thing. Chris Soules season was my first time watching! So when the girls get sent home do they immediately resume their lives or do they have to continue to hide until the whole season has filmed? Will we just know that Becca is off the show because she's back on Twitter or something?

With the exception of the final 3, they get spotted back home. They tend to keep the final 3 contestants in the location where the final rose ceremony took place until filming ends. If Becca is not one of the final 3, word will get out and she will be spotted. I know Becca and we have mutual friends/acquaintances, and I will post on here when I can confirm that she has been eliminated.

The above is not entirely true. 
There have been times when the F3 is sent home upon elimination. The f1 and f2 will be kept to the end, because that is the end.

It's possible (but not probable) that Becca may be kept longer even if she doesn't get a rose just to hide it. I don't know that they'd bother though unless they're trying to fool RS.

That's the beauty of the hometown dates. If Becca gets one, I'll know.

RJ, do you think Becca would accept a hometown date if she knows she isn't F1 or doesn't believe she is the F1?  I get the sense she would not encourage a HTD after her family objected to the way they were edited last time and she would avoid putting them through that again. JMO.

That's a great question, and I wish I had an answer to that. The reason being I'm not sure how she would think she didn't have a decent shot unless Ben told her. Plus, she already has gotten a 1-on-1 date, so it's not like she'd be the only one to make it to hometowns (or even the RC before hometowns) without having just one 1-on-1 date.

The cast are led to believe they are the F1 or have a chance of moving forward even when in reality ludicrous.
 So, I would imagine unless TPTB have no further use for that particular cast in their story, they will continue to lead a cast to thinking they are going forward.
