Becca Tilly - Bachelor 20 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Thanks RJ.  Part of my questioning this is that initially it was reported/speculated she would not make it to HTD's and I was wondering why unless she told TPTB she would not agree to HTD again unless she felt sure of the relationship.  I realize she may be led on by TPTB, but I don't think Ben would lead her on and she will have some sense of where they stand.  But that said, she may want to go for the full experience to see where the relationship goes.  JMO.

Lol the whole entire show is about leading people on in a sense! The lead isn't really allowed to let people know how long they are going to stay. If they did then everyone would leave and they wouldn't have a show, I'm sure most leads can narrow it down to a few favorites right away. Like what happened with Shawn last season, Kaitlyn did tell him prematurely it was him, but then she had to back track. So yea, like RJ said , Becca will always believe that as long as she stays on the show she has a chance at winning, theres no other way of her knowing.

It has been said that most leads know who their F4 are at the Meat and Geek.

In Becca's case I believe it was RJ (IIRC) and RS who initially stated she won't go on a HTD.  So why do they believe that?  Did she make some sort of deal with TPTB? Or is this just speculation?

My personal feeling is this: the main knows who they want to stick around on night one(Meat and Geek) regarding the final 4 or at most 6. 
TPTB know who they want for drama/ratings. (storyboard)
I guess there is a little wiggle room.

I'm assuming that they were told by people in the know (producers, crew members, workers on location, eliminated contestants, etc) that Ben has zero feelings for Becca, doesn't see himself with her, and already has 2-3 other girls that he's actually interested in. Just like anyone associated with the show could have told you on night one that there was zero chance that Sean was going to pick Kacie. Except for Sean, every other lead has known their F4 on day one, so, as much as we talk about how feelings can change, it's most likely not going to happen. I'm guessing Becca will be there for as long as she is useful to the producers and storyline, which probably won't be long, since she (like Kacie) is pretty drama-free and easy to get along with. She's not really going to create ripples, like TOG did, so she doesn't necessarily make for great TV.

This doesn't really match up though, because Reality Steve and RJ said Becca was not going to make it far when filming had barely started yet, so no one would have known whether Ben had his fave 3 picked out. I don't think it has anything to do with that. I think RS just likes to state his very strong opinions about how far someone will make it, he may or may not have info. RJ prob has some info from someone, but I don't think it's because Ben already has favorites. Also I think Becca's edit will not be the same this time, simply because she has been on the show before....so she will cause some drama, and any little thing someone says can be turned into drama if the producers want. And she also came on here herself, saying she was "outgoing and obnoxious" not like what we saw on tv, so I'm sure she will be more like that this time. Her words not mine. I don't think it will be like it was with Kaci, since Becca has already made it farther and had a 1 on 1.

I think she was just responding to the comments that we made, about her being obnoxious about her social climbing and her constant concert videos. I don't think she means obnoxious in the conventional sense. Everyone has only said good things about her, so I can't really see her as someone who causes drama, except for the initial "omg, what is she doing here" reaction. Maybe a little, Kacie-level type drama, but nothing on the level of TOG, IMO.

And, I think Ben probably knew on night one (heck, before night one) whether Becca was someone he was interested in or not. Like Sean already knew that about Kacie, Ben already knew that about Shawntel, Andi already knew that about Chris, etc. I'm sure that there are people in the know who can probably map out the entire season and order of eliminations on night one. I just don't think it's a big conspiracy, just a simple of case of Ben not being into her and it being common knowledge.

I don't think we can make the Kacie comparison anymore bc she has already made it farther and gotten a 1-on-1. If anything their connection might lie somewhere in the middle on the scale of Kacie to Nick

The producers are responsible for Becca's 1-on-1 IMO. It's just seems like fan pandering to me with everyone on Becca's SM telling her she and Ben are a match made in heaven. If she doesn't get cut in the next two weeks then there's a connection there but I don't think Ben had a say in the 1-on-1.

If there was zero connection he could've sent her home already. Sean did with Kacie and Ben did with Shawntel. The fact that she's still there says something - not necessarily much, but I believe we are prematurely discounting their potential

Maybe but the producers have a lot of pull as well.
