Did you guys know that Nick is a model now?!?! He really should vocalize it more!

It depends on who one likes or dislikes. There are some I dislike and would be the first to say they will do anything, and have done anything to stay in the spotlight.

Nick doesn't bother me. He hasn't done anything that annoys me. He was out of the spotlight for a good year or so. He's doing something different changing careers or whatever. There are those who dislike him, but he does have a lot of fans who love his pics. As everyone knows if you're a fan of anyone, you love to see what they are up to. That's better than not working and taking useless selfies for the sole purpose of keeping your face out there, like so many others do.

I think Nick's still pretty calm with the whole SM thing. I mean he's not periscoping and snapchatting his every thought and action, yet anyway. I think he'll slowly fade away from the limelight now that he's back in Chicago. Though hopefully he'll get some modelling work on the side.

My opinion is that just because more and more people are doing it doesn't mean it's "right". I judged other contestants just as much for this, as I think it's ridiculous that people are so obsessed with capturing every single cute moment in their lives and getting feedback and praise for it. I judge Nick a little bit more for it because he's one of the older guys in the franchise (almost a decade older than guys like Jared and Ben) and has a successful career. He doesn't need to shill eyeglasses and waist trimmers or whatever the heck these people are doing to make end's meet, I suppose. Without SM endorsements, people like Kaitlyn and Andi would be bringing in $0. They, in a way, need it. Nick really doesn't. He just does it for the attention and ego boost. Which is completely his right...just as it's my right to kind of side eye that behavior.

Nick hasn't been selling anything on IG yet though. The only thing he's promoted is his modelling, which I can't really begrudge him for. If it gets him some work then great! Modelling takes some actual skill and talent, unlike promoting waist trimmers or whatever.

It is not this way with "most" reality tv cast.
I don't see this with the TAR contestants, the Survivor contestants or the BB contestants as I do with this crazy franchise. I follow these other shows pretty closely, if not closer than this show. It is much more low key with these for the most part.
Again, I don't mean to hijack this thread. However, I can name a dozen from this franchise easily who are still milking this gravy train like crazy. It's like they potentiate each other.

IMO Nick has stayed the same. He still has a great job , witty, intelligent , and does stay true to himself. Last year he went back to his normal life and still stayed classy to all the hate he received. Never said a negative word to anyone and wished them the best. I still see that in him to this day. He is very supportive of Ben and has made many friends from his season including the producers of this show and Élan who I think Nick is defentiely one of his favorites. The only change I see in him is that he has a lucrative modeling gig on the side. They approached him not the other way around. He post pics. from the professional modeling agencies to get his brand out. He is not selling crap to try to make a living. He works hard for the things he has accomplished. I would take his professional pics. over trying to be on every TV show I could or selling stuff that really nobody cares about and have to tweet about it daily over and over. That will not last long but Nicks real job will.

How do we know whether Nick needs the money or not. Either way, earning money for your future and building up a secure retirement is good planning in my books. If the money is needed then more power to them for working and earning money even though it appears to be easy money.

I'm sure Jillian Harris and many other successful people from this franchise, don't need the money. It's a lifestyle, it's a career to which hopefully they are investing and saving wisely. JMHO on the way I see it.

They are all trying to increase their number of followers because now a days this means more income for them whether that be by hocking a product, increasing their blog hits for increased advertising revenue or more modelling gigs. I love that Nick has not chosen the easy route as some, by purchasing followers. And—if you look at Nick's IG in the 3 column format and scroll down, there are not that many shirtless photos in relation to his other photos, IMO.

^^ For me, it's the timing of this shirtless, unbuttoned pants shot that's pretty ridiculous.  

Like, hey I didn't get the DWTS gig, but I'm still hot.  And oh yeah, #tarpsoff  I didn't care for that hashtag the first time he used it.

IMO he's not saying, "I'm still hot." but rather using the timing to capitalize on additional followers and he's come to realize the shirtless photos receive more likes and "forwards" than the non shirtless photos. All IMO as I am not in Nick's head!
