*edit*There are many people also who believe that Sean shouldn't have had to compromise as much as he did.  Tomayto, tomahto.  Maybe they both are right!  Why do we have to claim to know, when in reality none of us do.  Ultimately, both Davina and Sean can learn from this experience and what they did wrong, if they are open to admitting that they are not perfect.   Even Davina's best friend Chris seems to be more interested in defending her/bashing others than having her grow and learn from the truth, so she can someday find happiness and love.  Sad.

I'm not sure if this was brought up before but if Sean was charged with a DUI then he is required to inform the state board of nursing. The next course of action is generally the nurse can enter into a specific program where he/she MUST abstain for drugs and alcohol. Clearly he drank on the show. I would bet he was removed from his ER position and during the filming was under enormous stress and was distracted because his nursing license was (or is) in jeopardy. Generally if you enter into the specific program by the state board of nursing you are not aloud to work in an ER or critical care.

Then let me re-Clarify fact from gossip. It's obviously a fact that Sean had a DUI. While I admit I cannot be 100 percent certain about NJ most states require that the medical professionals report the DUI to the state. You can look that up. It's also a fact that nursing boards will discipline you for DUI's or drugs but have confidential programs that will allow you to keep your license active under specific stipulations. Him leaving the ER was probably not a coincidence.

bekind, I'm not sure what Grahamg is doing to spread gossip after stating that it is a fact about Sean's DUI, (which we have all seen the official docs), and the rest is state / medical board requirements...

Stating that Sean was "probably" removed from his ER position because he "drank on the show" is spreading gossip. Grahamg made this up, his statement is not based on facts. There is a lot of gossip being spread about Sean. He is smart and classy to stay above it all.

On this forum, we do not tell other posters how to post in discussion threads.

I agree it would appear that he drank alcohol but if he specified it to the producers in advance they could have poured from the wine bottle and switched his glass to apple juice, ice tea etc We will never know for sure. I don't particularly care for either Davina or Sean but we really don't know what is real and what is production.

I am basing my opinion on the postings of JerseyNurse, who says S/he has worked with Sean and knows him personally, as well as what I saw on the show and I personally saw a self absorbed, selfish, attention seeking man who had no problem saying he would move then refusing to do so.  For me there is a very high ICK factor in every aspect of him.  The first time I saw him I thought he was very attractive but from the time he had his stagey meltdown over Davina's ring on I was over him completely.  I think Davina used psychobabble verbiage, like his not being present for her, because she could not or felt she could not out and out say he was not actually living with her.  It may have made some people think she was whiny and needy but I think she was just trying to say he was absent.  She did retweet or favor nasty tweets said about Sean, but I cannot fault her there, she was angry and frustrated and I believe she felt gagged by the production as to what she could actually say.  As for Chris, he is his own man, a private person and Davina is his best friend.  I have defended my bestie and I think most people would, especially given that he was seeing the whole inside story and had a front row seat for Davina's hurt.

There are a million rumors spreading around about this cast.  People are making countless assumptions about all of the cast based on what they read on SM.  How does anyone know what Sean's intentions were going into the show?  Did anyone ask Sean or do they base their opinions on gossip?  Did Sean say that that he is gay? Or is that opinion also based on gossip?   I have a dear friend who is sensitive/quiet like Sean, who is often mistaken as gay, and is not.  People who spread rumors are not good people.  Sean has not gossiped about anyone and does not bash people on social media.  Davina has showed her true character through her nasty behavior on social media, and so has her friend Chris. I personally prefer not to base my opinion about someone on what other people claim on a social media site, I base my opinion on the behaviors that I see. Unfortunately, what I have seen is Davina has shown a very immature, mean spirited side to herself on social media. Some of the comments that her best friend Chris has made about Sean's sexuality and mental health are down right bullying. Very, very mean behavior and not at all impressive or mature. This speaks volumes about the people that they truly are, because they cannot blame their actions on editing, Sean, or the experts, it is their choice to behave this way. They could have chosen to take the high road, but they are still choosing to try to bring Sean and other people down. Sean has done the right thing in staying above the fray.

That's the great thing about a forum like this - everyone gets to share their opinion!

The official NJ site shows him as active, NO Board action (notwithstanding DUI, in other words), and expiry date of 5/31/07.

Straight up out of state DUI wouldn't usually be crime of moral turpitude. Who knows re violation of probation if that added to the DUI conviction. I think professionals with DUI convictions are often advised to self disclose but I am completely ignorant of nursing or NJ or Florida practices or requirements.

But I do know it's a serious enough issue that the dude must have been under unimaginable personal stress during the (brief!) tenure of his marriage with all this plus whatever was going on at work. His eyes looked like pinwheels in half those ITM interviews, right?
