TwinkleB13 wrote:Davina stated from the beginning that she absolutely would not relocate. That was a deal breaker for her. Sean either lied when he said he was willing to relocate, or thought that he could but when it came down to it, realized that he didn't want to. Just because he did that does not mean she should have changed her mind. It's not like she said she was on the fence and then changed her mind, she said that under no uncertain terms was she leaving Manhattan.
If this show really wanted to see these couples be successful, they should make sure that the living location is okay with them before they wed. They don't have to give anything away other than, "Sean, would you be willing to locate to Manhattan?" Sean would have said no and they would have moved on to someone else that was suited for Davina that was willing to move. If they said to Jaclyn, "Jaclyn, would you be willing to live on Long Island with or near your spouse's mother/niece" she would have said NO WAY and they would have avoided a lot of heartache for her. These people did not get a fair shot at anything. These marriages were doomed from the beginning because of the location situations (assuming that the men were on the up and up otherwise, which we know now they were not)
If this show continues, I think that to preserve any semblance of a fan base, they need to put a couple of rules in place - the first being that you MUST live together the entire 6 weeks. That would have weeded Sean and Ryan R out before anything even started. If someone says they are willing to relocate, then they need to do so if they are paired with someone that has relocating as a deal breaker.
Reading the article about the experts (spiritual specialist is an atheist??) I have little respect for this process, even less than I had when I only knew that the men (and Jessica) were not genuine in their reasons for being on the show.
I think Davina has room to grow before she's going to be successful in a relationship but I believe that she and Jaclyn were the ones that got screwed in this process. I think that out of the 6, they had the most sincere desires, Jaclyn being the one that was probably most ready to actually be married and start a life with someone. She was SO open to Ryan even though she was not initially attracted to him. A lot of people would have thrown in the towel right then and there. But she took the time let him grow on her, get to know him, take some of her walls down, and then she was all in. She is respectful, dignified, and really just showed what a good sense of character she has. I feel most bad for her, because in the end, she is the one out of all of them that really got hurt badly.
It was said that the producers rushed to pick the men because they wanted to start filming before the holidays rather than in March as was originally planned. My question is, why did they not go back to the pool of men that they screened for the first season? I am more than sure that out of all of those hundreds of men, there were a few that would have been compatible with the ladies. Those men were screened (supposedly) the "right" way, that would have been a much safer bet than the process they chose (or lack thereof) for the men this season.
Please note, all of the above is strictly my opinion

I believe that "jerseynurse" said that Sean lied about getting a promotion. Instead, he was moved to a different department because it was rumored that he failed a random drug test. Perhaps, by this time, Davina had had it up to her eyeballs with all of his lies. Perhaps, if she were an actress, she should have just played along. Maybe, she did congratulate, and the producers cut that footage to keep the viewers thinking that it was Davina once again being "ungrateful" to her "wonderful, caring" husband...
JUST MY OPINION, FOLKS!!

I think that it was not seen to be a promotion in Jersey Nurse's view more of a lateral view, It seemed to me that he said he was working toward it for 2 years.
I do realize the edit process is there, but Davina and her friends social media premise I find troubling. Sean probably said he would relocate for the right person and Davina was just not it for him.
Davina felt rejected by Sean and she was, he would not upset his life for her...plain and simple. Dr. C pointed this out. I do not see it as lying, just him facing the realization she was not the one.
Remember all is fair in love and war. It is best just to move on...

Maybe his "working toward it" was just his getting a DUI conviction and parole violation :cutesmile!: But seriously the only proof we have of his working toward a promotion is his saying so and he has not exactly shown himself to be truthful IMHO edited for spelling.

I think what Doug wrote was ok from HIS experience. You get paired with who you think you want based on who you think you are. If you succeed you were accurate on your thoughts about yourself and your future partner, if not then maybe you weren't ready for what you wanted or wanted someone you were not ready for. I think from his season it makes sense. But this past season was not playing with the same rules, I mean, the guys were just... losers IMO.

My two cents is why on earth would Sean sign up for a reality tv show that would match him with someone in the NY and surrounding areas knowing that he was under probation for a DUI with travel limitations and a suspended license during the probation? Just going on the honeymoon out of state violated his probation and I'm sure he was explained the travel restrictions from his probation officer. What mode of transportation did he plan to use to see the girl they paired him with and commute to and from work from wherever they lived together without him violating the suspended license and breaking the law?

As far as him violating his probation, he may have gotten approval to "drive" out of state in NY and also go to colorado. We do not know.
I think what Doug said is true, you just don't know how you will truly respond. I still think she should have been matched with the rough sex Manhattan guy...I do not think there would need to be a discussion with Chris saying go $%&* your wife.
