I am definitely in the minority here.

Nothing against Nick the Vailliant Studmuffin and his capabilities, but I am increasingly suspecting (no, I am not assuming) that only Shawn got to plow her field and the rag-tags are milking a lot more than necessary from a half-dry cow. Oh... I am sure that she and Nick did... something... whether it was "all the way" or simply a game of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" or just a "nap" (a.k.a. we "slept" together) like Britt and Prince Farming after their balloon ride. Just that my impression from the pre-season ET interview was that she and Nick did not "do" exactly what the interviewer was insinuating... and she wasn't concerned about anything she "did", just its "timing".

We will know soon enough. If she compares "sizes" and "performance" in PI sessions, there will be no doubt in MY mind that she "test-drove" (as explained to Jimmy Kimmel last season) both Little Nick and Little Shawn (and maybe even Little Jared and Little Cupcake and Aladdin's magic carpet) before making a final purchase. (She probably favors stick shift vehicles. Sorry, Guardian Angel. I am trying to stay as "G-rated" as possible, but this show brings out the beast in me.)

This season feels like the most story-boarded in the history of the franchise, with full lines of dialogue (not to mention date settings) recycled from various past seasons. Sometimes I question how certain guys like Ian, Jared and Cupcake can function without a handler holding up cue cards just outside of camera range. There is NO way people talk the same season after season like this! There is also way too-too much "coincidence" going on, from Nick's reputation as The One Who Ratted Andi For "Making Love" To Him now being the one THIS show everybody thinks "makes love" with Kait.

Those seasonal promos are constructed from bits and pieces of dialogue from all parts of the season and concerning all kinds of "drama", much of it unrelated. Worrying about "being a bad person" could have something to do with Ian accusing her for "making out with a bunch of dudes" or getting a guy upset, for all we know. She may only feel guilty for leading guys on longer than necessary, long after she made her final decision. I don't know what all of the sobbing involves. "We had sex" could even be a "franken-edit" tale of a past boyfriend or Prince Farming in Bali (assuming he was able to get her firecracker costume off). I think the "where there's smoke, there's fire" talk probably relates to the guys not knowing WHO is the frontrunner since "he" is not the one they THINK is the frontrunner.

Like you, though, "I could be convinced either way at this point".

That article is just assuming they had sex. I'm sure the mikes didn't stay on once they were in there without cameras. Maybe they did or maybe they stopped but we won't know for sure unless one of them admits it.

Um, so if a guy can make one forget about another guy one told one was falling in love with, maybe one wasn't falling in love at all.... or even if so, it's not exactly a big enough deal.

IMO it's not the guy (Nick) that makes Kaitlyn forget there are other guys - it's the producers manipulating her / telling her that's what she needs to do. As I posted in another forum about this earlier today:

And it's all nothing but a lie. They do not have the lead's best interests at heart even though they do everything they can to make the lead believe that they do. They only want to get enough good footage that it's easy for the editors to selectively use footage that tells the story they want to tell - that the lead wants "A" when in fact the lead really wants "B". Or that the lead isn't sure who they want - could be "A" or could be "B" and they make that decision only at the very end. Cut / wrap - another typical season for the franchise.

BTW - I didn't just make that up - that came directly from things that have been said by past leads and by the show itself (CH blogged exactly this on Des' season) after their season when describing things that the producers said to them.

I thought that Kaitlyn has admitted it - at least she said she had sex with someone before the FS on an interview she did after episode 1 and the season preview aired. She really didn't mince her words in that interview. She also said the same thing which was shown in the season preview, although it seems likely that wasn't said to all the guys - maybe an ITM but also it COULD have been said in private to ONE of the guys.

ITA. Editing is a powerful thing. If the shoe was on the other foot and Nick was F1 and Shawn F2 and had been sexguy, a lot of people would feel terrible for Shawn. But with Nick, it feels like a lot of viewers will be happy that Nick will get rejected despite the fact that those who accused him of fame as his motivation are the ones who are on BIP filming.

If Nick is nothing but a producer driven plot then imo, so too is Shawn.

Criticizing the cast is within the rules. Members don't have to defend their opinion.

Everyone gets their share of criticism so it doesn't pay to be sensitive.

They might not be wearing the mike per say just that the mike is in the room because it is still on their clothes

It's also possible that the sound effects we will hear coming from what is supposedly an open mic were actually dubbed in or augmented in post-production on a Foley sound stage (or the modern equivalent of one). It's not unusual to dub in sounds when a mic doesn't get clear enough audio.

Sigh.  Hope someone thought of protection.  Are they readily available in the room besides the fantasy suite or is that one in the wallet kinda thing or do you stick your head out the door asking if anyone has one? This season is not even trying to show the romance regardless how fake. Funny thing is I was kinda enjoying the possibilities right after snap chat but his week not so much.

I think it's a BYOC (Bring Your Own Condom) party - at least that's something Courtney wrote in her book that she felt was quite surprising - they don't supply protection even in the FS. Maybe that's one of the handlers jobs - you know - go get a pizza, go get a ...

You know what would suck? If Kaitlyn actually didn't do "that" much with Nick but because she's on a national platform, she might feel the need to defend her choices regardless of what went down. But yeah, I hope tptb had protection on hand. SMH.
