I have never noticed them delete a captioned photo they post on Twitter before. It was generating tons of hate towards Nick too!jojo47 wrote:Nick's edit softened a whole lot this episode. I noted they didn't show the "don't make out with the girl I like before I do" clip that they showed in the previews.
It almost feels like they used Nick to lure viewers into thinking he is this villain/drama person and then on the actual show we see the guys telling Joshua he is the liar and Ian acting crazy. They still left in Shawn's opinion of Nick though, but I think that is to drive the whole N vs S drama.
Crazy thing about Tanner and Joshua was how they were talking about Tabloid magazines and what they had read about Nick, and saying that Nick wasn't there for the right reasons and how they didn't trust someone being on the show a second time and yet both of them are now on BIP!
I guess they are looking for their 16th minute of fame. I would love if someone asked them about this since they wanted to nail Nick about going on another show and now here they are. Got to chuckle at the irony.

They're all looking for their 16th minute of fame! It's why the went on the show in the first place!
It's also why I really appreciated that Nick told the guys when Tanner interrogated him about seeking fame that he went back to his usual life after last season. And it is true! And Nick at least is the only one that has evidence he came on the show only for Kaitlyn.
If Tanner and these other guys knew so much about Kaitlyn and Nick and all the previous bach/ette seasons why didn't they reach out to Kaitlyn themselves?
No wonder I like Nick. At least his words match his actions and vice versa.

Fame ... such an interesting debate.
I have no problem with people seeking "fame", some sort of recognition, because deep down we all want to be heard and seen and being important to someone, we want to make a difference.
It's what you do with that "fame"/attention that is important.
But I really laugh at those who accuse others of attention/fame seeking actions ... when themselves are nothing different or better.
People who helped TPTB create Nick's image/portray last year as a strategist and untrustworthy guy ... who were strategizing and "playing a role" themselves.
People who continue pointing the finger at Nick for his additional 15 minutes, when themselves are walking on the red carpets, posing for the media/fans and making a living appearing on the screen.
Hollywood and their high moral standards - someone should donate a mirror to them.

Something interesting in RS column today. The following is a clip of a reader email and RS's answer:
Email: "The biggest thing said about Nick on Andy’s season was that he was calculating and “strategic” and clearly playing the game – thinking things out and planning how to get ahead. Well this makes me think that the sole reason he contacted Kaitlyn was because it was an easy guess that she would be the Bachelorette. I bet he tried to seduce her having all this planned out. Because that, according to the guys from Andi’s season, is what he’s like.
RS Answer: Which is basically what most of the guys thought about him and expressed on Monday’s show. He just seems to be doing things with an agenda. He didn’t HAVE to come on the show. But he chose to because he enjoys the limelight and what comes along with it. There are things I know but I can’t say. Lets just say his behavior since appearing on Andi’s season has not be all that well received by his inner circle. He knows it too, yet doesn’t care. This show has absolutely changed him, and not for the better."
It sounds like someone from Nick's "inner circle" gave up the ending spoilers to RS. Sounds like the show did not just change Nick, but also his so-called friends.
I can see the show changing Nick...heck, it changes everyone who does it. But, I do not know how RS can say it changed Nick for the worse. I mean, RS has always said Nick is such a horrible person to start with...how can you get worse than the person RS has always portrayed Nick to be? I think that RS is just running with one of Nick's "inner circle" friends opinions about Nick's motivation for going back on the show.
I see that Nick has embraced his semi-famous status and has become less awkward around the throngs of crazy fans wanting his attention and photos. He has embraced the world of reality TV and become active on SM. He probably feels that the positive attention gives him value. Being a words of affirmation kind of guy, I can see that fans' positive words build him up, make him feel better about himself. They might even lead him to appear like he thinks he is a pretty big deal now. Mostly because he has a hard time not talking about his inner monologue which can make him appear more arrogant than he really is internally. Again, depends on who you are talking to. Those brutal truth people like it just how it is...he is a bigger deal now than he was a year ago...it is a truth. Those respectful truth people like it a little sugar coated to keep everyone a little bit more humble...he might be a bigger deal now, but let's not talk about it in case it makes others uncomfortable...still a truth, just a different way to look at it.
However, I do think it is pretty douchy to throw your supposed friend under the bus by leaking info to RS if that is indeed what happened. On the other hand, it could also be a true friend leaking wrong information wrapped in the kind of talk that RS would believe...hence the "Nick has changed for the worst" kind of talk. I guess we will find out how good at people reading RS is in a few weeks...time will tell.
Also, RS and his viewer are under the impression that Nick's talk and behavior are done with an intent to be calculating and strategic, which is apparently a bad thing. IMO, these are some of Nick's most valuable attributes. He is a big picture kind of guy...able to synthesize information and put together a cohesive narrative that fits. His behavior that made the guys believe that he was calculating, is just his inner dialogue leading him to the big picture answer. He just spent too much time talking through all his thoughts with the guys. He would have done so much better for himself keeping his thoughts an inner monologue. But this is hard to do when the producers set you up to spill your guts with nothing else to do but discuss with each other and the cameras how you think it will all pan out. Nick's opinions then appeared to the guys as his way of trying to work the system, when in fact I think he was just trying to express his inner thought process and deal with the crazy situation he found himself in.

And in both seasons the most Alpha Male in the house and the front runner made/making him a bad guy and talking trash about him to the lead. How is that not viling? Threatened much?

^^ Bottom line is all the guys on this show go on for fame - moreso than Nick -- they're the ones on BIP and pursuing the next Bachelor lead, including Andi's now ex-F1.
RS can say whatever he want, write emails to himself and answer them.... for me, the proof is in the pudding: the guys calling out Nick on last episode are on BIP. Enough said.

From instagram, he seems to hang out with a lot of the same people he used to. And it's not like these guys he hangs out with are even that attractive. Jealous much?

I've heard RS say that a couple of times - that there are things that he can't say, but he knows that Nick has been changed by fame. I just don't see it...he seems to have so many good friends and is liked by many of the Bachelor alumni (including Andi's friends and many of the guys from Andi's season who originally disliked him). He's not out there doing endorsements or club appearances or trying to get book deals. Maybe I'm biased because I am a Nick fan, but I just don't see how he has changed.
I have said from the beginning that one of RS's sources was Nick's friend, who also spoke to US about that "1 beer on looks, 10 beers on personality". That was the only way he knew so many specific details about Nick, including the FT-ing and that he knew before filming started that he would go on the show, but knew very little about Shawn.

What kind of friend is that? I hope Nick finds out which of his friends runs to RS and have a talk with the so called friend.

I never trust a "close source" to be a real "friend". I would like to know the motive of that person first ... like, yeah, I'm gonna tell you someone else's secret because I want the best for that person ... yeah, not buying it.
I could also be sitting here and writing from across the ocean, have him never met in person and posting stuff about Nick as I would know for sure ... and if any of you question me where I get the information, my answer is: believe, I know things, but I can't say.
There's so much credibility ... and responsibility ... in man's words.
I hope ... at the end, he won't be answering to me.
