I think there are some great guys and some not so great guys. Again, no different than in all the past seasons of this franchise.

IMO they are just trying to change up the drama by changing up the dates. They are trying to be different.

Some of us want to see a love story. In some seasons we do and others we don't and are thrown for a loop. If there is an engagement, everyone is happy. 9/10 they split up anyway. If there isn't an engagement, somehow the show is a failure because the lead didn't go along with the expectation of getting engaged after 8 weeks.

IMO I watch for the craziness of it all as it takes my mind off of real life issues. Whether I enjoy a season or not, I do find I always want to see how it all unfolds. From a sleuthing standpoint, watching s/caps and the guys come to life and recognizing the hard work is what makes me happy!!

And as much as I can complain about the show I keep watching!

Not to get too mushy with all of you but one of the best things about the show is this fan forum. I look forward to coming here and reading all the different opinions (even those I disagree with ), the snark , the thought provoking points of view and just some time to think about something that takes me away from my "real" life. So I'm sending my love sprinkles to all of you!

The forum is the best thing about the show! It always has been and always will be! 

I think it's too easy to overreact from a not so great episode. Last week was pretty good and next may be too so hoping it's just a blip. The dates next week are already better.

I don't see the disrespect for Kaitlyn that others do. They showed two guys, Kupah & Clint, saying things but other guys seemed into her. All of the female leads lately had some guys more interested in being the lead themselves or making friends than in her.

The show is ways less interesting to me in recent years and I watch more because of the board to see what other people think. I don't even really get into sleuthing anymore, especially pre-season. I still don't know all the guys and was glad they label them. :Nod:

I think Ryan B is cute but how did he get a rose after 3 seconds of airtime?

Liking Ben Z, Joe, Tanner and Joshua more than I thought I would.

Tony is a hypocrite imo because he was all in for the sumo match in the backyard of the mansion, saying basically he was going to kick a**, and only when he got his a** kicked instead did he go all temper tantrum.

Too bad Ian later has a melt down because I liked the way he tried to diffuse the tension\drama Tony caused and also liked that Jonathan took Kaitlyn away from Tony and back to the group.  Would have liked to see more of Ian because he's good looking, smart and I think he has a lot of depth, especially after surviving a life threatening and life altering accident.

Still love Jared and there's a quiet confidence\assertiveness about him I find sexy.

Tony said upon his exit that Kaitlyn knew where to find him.  Maybe Kait rejected F2 and is single because she went to find Tony!

I need to comment on the Sumo wrestling date...I'm sorry but the feminist in me would be beyond appalled if the women were paraded around with their goods showing to the point where the screen needed to be blurred out. Yes, they wear bikinis on the Bachelor, yes Jillian from last season had her rear end hanging out of her short- shorts, but this is different- this took it to a whole new low. And I would be a hypocrite if I were not offended by this show with the men. Yes, it was offensive. Kaitlyn did not need to see their "goods" because they were so scantily clad. Now, I am also offended that the Japanese culture was so debased during this show. The Japanese culture is very proud and hardworking- I can't image that "old- school" Japanese folks were pleased with this farce. Not that they are a target audience, but this is 2015 and I don't think I am out of line to expect some modicum of cultural sensitivity EVEN from TPTB and for this show which apparently has landed permanently in the cess pool with this season.
As much as he is bat poop crazy, Tony called it absolutely right and called TPTB out on this farce. Even though I think the guy is koo-koo for coco puffs, I have to give him credit where credit is due.
And not to knock Kaitlyn, but wow- I am disappointed to say the least. I initially really liked her "wit and spunk" last season, but now I see her as immature. It could just be the edit or the sleazy "narrative" we are getting this season. I agree the quality of men she got to pick from leaves much to be desired. I would like to see an Ette that handles herself with class, dignity, and maturity. The last one who did that was Des (and that was the last Ette season I really enjoyed.)

Kaitlyn has no chemistry with any of these men. The kissing is not even romantic or sexy cause  she's giving them away like free tickets to the senior bingo social. She even french kissed  the brokeback twins.. yiakks.

I don't think Britt will be a better Bachelorette, her cloying sweetness will get old very quick.. but with Britt, Ben H. will even look more handsome and dignified.  The magic is when the men truly lose their words, and having a moment with the Bachelorette.. I saw that with BenH when he met Britt,  Brad with Emily,  the first kiss between JP and Ashley.. Ari and Emely  etc.   With Kaitlyn,  its like she's just sampling all the dishes in a buffet and see what dish she's gonna take home.  No art or tenderness involved.  

And if those kids are actors still inappropriate for those men to talk about sex in front of them. Its just.. no...

I found the whole JJ\Clint "brokeback mountain" crap incredibly fake and acted. I thought I detected smirks on the faces of JJ and Clint during those scenes like they knew they were just following a script. Thing is, JJ has a child and he's already the villain with his pompous attitude and overinflated ego. What could possibly make these two think it would be in their interest to play along with this farce?

Last night,they rushed thru the rose ceremony, we saw a lot more of the sumo wrestling date in pre season pics, the gross Ben Z date was too long, couldn't wait for it to be over. We're only getting very small snippets of the group dates, and the show is monopolized enough with Kupah drama, Tony drama etc. Didn't need to add the fake Brokeback mountain crap. We barely see Kaitlyn interact with the guys and when it's rose ceremony time, I find myself on who she keeps and who she lets go and why because we see about 10 seconds of real interaction with a handful of guys.

Here is the problem. It is obvious that Kaitlyn has aspirations to be a comedian and she is using this format to further her career. Even her blogs are crass, to some extent and her joking with the guys is more like another guy (or a raunchy female comedian) than romantic in nature. She does not feign interest in their converstion, unless it is an important soundbite. Females soften around men they are interested in as potential mates. The hulu clip of Shawn shows a little of that, but not much. I think she is physically attracted to him and sleeping in his shirt is a bit icky this early on. Unless she starts showing more interest in what the men have to say and starts softening toward a couple ( Chris, Nick, Shawn, etc.) guys, I think we are realizing that her intent was never to find anyone and that makes our interest wane, especially if we believe she ends up with nobody.

I'm starting to think that she likes the macho types (took clint and ben z on first dates but she didn't spark with any of the macho dudes... ) looking forward to more 1-1 time with these ^ guys to see what there is...

I so agree with you about Jared being the one who Kaitlyn has more of a spark with at this point in the filming, and she seems the most intrigued by him right now - even saying that he is a real "man"!!!  I am not ruling him out as being the guy who she supposedly got intimate with either.  Jared does get the very romantic Met date next week, right?  And, I would think that Kaitlyn was more than ready for her first 1-on-1 date with Jared by then.  Has it be determined when she supposedly did the deed with one of the guys, within the confines of the filming process?  Maybe it did happen in San Antonio, where we see all the roses on the bed.

Regarding Shawn, one thing that is bothering me right now about him is how fast he has supposedly fallen for Kaitlyn.  Is this just another case of him coming on to the show with the preconceived notion that he is already in love with her - much like Josh M and Whitney did?  I think that this was the case with both of them, even before they had spent any real time with Andi and Chris.  But, I am still not ruling out Shawn as being the sex guy either.

Both the sumo wrestling and sex education segments had some pretty awkward moments, but how would you like to have been a parent with a small child in that group who was watching the sumo wrestling?  Did they really not know that their child was going to see a whole lot of the male anatomy exposed.  Clearly, there was little left to the imagination.

Yeah the sex ed thing was just too awkward... I had to fast forward through it. Even if those were child actors. It was too just much. This season is hitting a new low. And it is not even entertaining for me in a good "train wreck kinda way"
