He may like K. He may really groove to her music. It could have been where they both thought they would make beautiful babies.
But TPTB only wanted him for their plot and he was a convenient tool that happened to work for them.
So maybe there is/was an obvious F1 so they brought Nick in to create the drama and take the attention off of Kait and that guy.
Just something tells me that it wasn't a cut and dried ending of her going away on her own and we really have nothing that puts Nick or even Shawn in the F2 other than RS...... Is that still correct or have I missed something along the way??

I believe as I have stated all along.
Nick and Shawn made it to the F3 and I believe the F2.
I don't believe Kait walked away with an F1 or engaged, but I am equally interested in watching for prospective SHV just in case that proves wrong.

I guess I'm mostly a wrong reasons viewer, but I found this episode hilarious. Tony bored me to death though. Good luck ever finding a mate!
The first few episodes are kind of boring every season, since the lead doesn't really know the contestants yet and the edit focuses on drama caused by people who don't even make it very far. The first half of Chris's season was a total circus too. I don't really see much of a difference, except there are more guys I like this season than usual.
I like Kaitlyn too and no way would I rather watch Britt. No way, no how! I'd rather watch paint dry.

I don't know K or Britt, since I didn't watch CS's season, but your description of rather watching paint dry vs. Britt is also tooo funny!

I agree with you. On CS season I was bored to tears the first month with him and those dates! I kept watching because the drunk girls had me doubled over laughing. I'll never forget Jordan's demonstration of Ashley preparing to wear a bikini and having to shave. I could not believe they showed that. Maybe I have a strange sense of humor, but it was funny as hell to me. Then comes Kaitlyn's ITM and Becca and I probably enjoyed the season as much as any I have in a long time. If you take away the initial episodes crappiness so far, she does have some cuties. I'll stick around for Ben, Joshua, Chris, Joe, Shawn and last but not least Mr. Viall. I so hope he still has game! I just hope he didnt leave the cocky witty intelligent charismatic Nick at home this time.mindless wrote:I guess I'm mostly a wrong reasons viewer, but I found this episode hilarious. - especially bolded. I've been saying the same thing.
I thought it was funny also, maybe I'm a "wrong reason" viewer also.

After watching "Unreal" (it should be required viewing for Bachelor/ette fans) I thought maybe the producers had a Rachel moment, when she broke down and declared 'this job is satan's censored!! While having a collective burnout, they probably decided that this season should just be a free for all for their 'show pony' and the meatpuppets as they are called (no wonder they pick the most dull contestants, the easiest to manipulate types).
Looks like the producers didn't even attempt to manufacture any kind of fake romance, they just threw the towel and tell themselves fock it! After all their puppets can read from the cue cards and just let them make out and have sex and voila they have a show.
It really is a miracle how people fall in love and get married despite the circus that is reality tv.

Re: The Bachelorette 11 - Kaitlyn Bristowe - Epi 3 Jun 1st - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*
I think they may have screwed their own formula this year with the opening night voting. Past contestants often talk about a kind of Stockholm Syndrome they experience while on the show, where their whole life is about this one person, like that person is the only woman (or man on The Bachelor) in the world, and they develop feelings they might not otherwise just because of the extreme focus on that one person. But this season the guys were presented with not one but two women so it's harder to create a situation where their lives are going to be all about one woman. Some of them are going to have in the back of their mind that it could have been Britt, it could have been anyone, and maybe Kaitlyn's the one who's lucky to be there and not them. Maybe that's why we're seeing a higher level of acting out and disrespect shown to her. And that's going to feed into Kaitlyn's insecurity and make her question her judgment more. Not really a conducive situation to fake romance. I'm looking forward to the field narrowing to those who are genuinely into her.

Lol. I agree. I watched "Unreal" after watching this week's epi and your commentary is spot on. Unreal just confirmed my what we all have thought goes on behind the scenes and yeah...I'm watching the show through that lens now. Not that I wasn't before, but it has just been "confirmed" this season.charriotoffire wrote:After watching "Unreal" (it should be required viewing for Bachelor/ette fans) I thought maybe the producers had a Rachel moment, when she broke down and declared 'this job is satan's censored!! Although I find it odd that we are seeing more and more of the breaking of the "4th wall" with this season of the Ette and it seems like the producers aren't even trying to give us the faux "dog and pony romance show"- less travel to exotic locals, the stunt with the two ettes, over the top sex/making out/cheesy/low brow porno type music playing, etc- I find it odd that this coincides with the airing of "Unreal." It is like the producers said "screw it" Maybe they are mocking the segment of the audience that views this as a "romance show?" Maybe my cynicism is showing?
All I know is.. I really just watch this show for the snark opportunities. I think people that have found lasting love on this show have done it purely by accident.

I feel so old, but what the heck does ITM mean? I even googled it and none of the answers make sense in the context of the show.

In the moment. TPTB get a cast person to talk "spontaneously".
