Wow. *edit* Just because her mother CAN afford to help her doesn't mean that she WILL help her with additional schooling. Maybe, there were strings attached that Davina was not willing to accept.  Who knows?

In the past, I interviewed people for positions inside a medical company, we would have not hired her due to all the career decision changes she made in a relatively short time.

My Take: I am having a very hard time understanding how changing goals or careers a few times equals an inability to commit.  When I graduated from High School my goal was to go to Culinary School.  Then I went to nursing school and was a nurse for a few years (my Father's idea) Then I went back to college and got a BA in Photojournalism.  Then I taught school then I became a Medical-Paralegal then I married and quit for a few years and now I am a small business owner.  I have been with the same man for more than 35 years and married to him for 25 so I think that qualifies as able to commit.  Do I have follow through issues you think?

I have no problem with Davina. She maybe able to admit her faults when she doesn't feel so attacked. The truth is the experts seemed to not really make any effort to match the couples this season, unlike last year, but they were never going to admit they did that. It was ruin their chance of another season, so of course the cast must be to blame. By taking to SM, Davina made it easier for them to blame her, but it doesn't make it right. Pharmaceutical reps and others are mostly known for their looks. Not to be rude but it is true. I work in biomedical research and we even see it in the science sales reps now. You can know very little, but if you look good they will give you a chance. And in her defense if someone wants to give her money to do that, then why not. And if she is well know in the Manhattan market which I would think is one of the toughest to be the best in, then why should she compromise and move for someone who has less stable opportunities?

But, let me say, all of the generalizations about Sean have cracked me up. My husband was 34 when we met and his longest relationship was one month. He is a scientist and his career is extremely important to him. If he dated a woman and she seemed to not get that he ended things quickly. As a very analytical man, he didn't have the patience for someone who wasn't going to understand that. When I met him he was on the gay billiards team. Again for me meeting a man in SC after living in some of the most gay friendly places in America and have gay family members, it was a relief not a red flag to me. Someone who is homophobic has no place in my life. To be brutally honest we had sex on the first date, but probably because I made it obvious, I was okay with that. We then ended things because I moved away and got back together a year later. I did eventually move to be with him as he has the more career that is more limited in the geographical places he can do it. But by the assessments here I should have run when I met him, mid 30s and longest relationship is one month, on a gay billiards team, unwilling to date long distance at first. Glad I waited it out. Of course, people could have told him the mid 30s divorcee who was changing jobs and states for the second time and had just a masters degree not her PhD was not a good bet either. Thankfully, we both refused to think in stereotypes:Hugesmile: .

Wow.  That's being pretty presumptuous.  Just because her mother CAN afford to help her doesn't mean that she WILL help her with additional schooling. Maybe, there were strings attached that Davina was not willing to accept.  Who knows?

Maybe Davina realized that she can make MORE money being a drug rep than a doctor. Not kidding. With the way the insurance reimbursements are today many doctors are not making what they used to. It depends on their specialty. Davina could be making huge bonuses....especially in NYC.

What she doesn't realize is that being a pretty drug rep is only good until 45-ish. Doctors want to see only the pretty ones. Once a drug rep starts moving up in age her income goes down unless she gets a corporate job....

I also forgot about malpractice insurance for doctors. Isn't that really high? Davina can be a drug rep and then she can move to being a pharmacist after 45 years of age! ;)

Boomshakalaka wrote:what irritated me was the so called 'experts' telling Davina how she should feel about the experience instead of listening to what Davina had to say.  They match her with a guy who had no interest in being married, loved to talk about himself,  had never been in a long term relationship with a woman, spent 10 days out of 42 with her, and has the emotional maturity of a 2 year old....and they act like Davina is the problem?  Davina may have her issues, but this thing was a failure from day one and once Davina figured it out she was pissed, as she has every right to be.  i think given the circumstances, Davina handled herself well.  i would have gone off on those experts.

The eye rolling from the experts was way out of line and totally unprofessional.

Did anyone else notice the way Sean walked out onto the set...all slumped over and very timid like?  do you think he is really that timid or was that just for show?

I'm with you. And as for Sean, everything he does is definitely for show IMO. From the supposed anxiety, to the orchestrated tears, it's all BS. I'm still stunned that he managed to fool these so called experts. But yeah, Sean is all about Sean. Sean only cares about Sean. Sean is only capable of crying for Sean.

Even when he tries to admit wrongdoing, he always manages to find a way to tie in a compliment. Like "I'm responsible for my marriage failing because I wanted so badly to make her happy" I mean this dude is so full of it.

I won't even touch on Dr. Logan's shameful behavior towards Davina. That came off a lot like bullying to me.

And does Dr. C really want us to believe all contestants had to answer a 700 question survey? Perhaps they need to increase it to 5000 questions if they still managed to end up with cheaters, liars, and an abuser (verbal) who is alleged to be a drug user. What a joke.

As a fan of the show it pains me that they ruined a beautiful concept and hurt these women in the process due to greed. When it's all said and done, it's obvious that non of these men were ready for marriage nor interested in being married.

I hope Davina has more opportunities to find a man, but I think she will never be able to find someone with how easily she insults people without even realizing she is doing it. She seems to think that she is speaking the truth but it is so hurtful how she does it. I think Jaclyn is so attractive because she easily says things like I know you were not trying to hurt me but you did. Jaclyn is the one who is speaking clearly and portraying herself as well as others with dignity even when she was obviously hurt. I am sorry but Davina is a soul who does get in her way. The other person I feel sorry for is Sean for being paired with Davina.

The Strong need to be those who have a way of getting their way without hitting someone over the head.

^^Sorry Justify14, I can't see it the way you do. When Davina was not weirded out by Sean's behavior, she was very soft and sincere. He didn't give her much to work with though.

If anyone has watched that new show UnREAL, it seems like the producers needed someone to fit the villain archetype, and Davina was it. From the way the experts treated her versus how they treated Jess and Jaclyn to the things they posted toward her on social media.

I really think Davina was right when she said Sean was a liar. He wasn't ready for commitment, and according to tweets from her friend, he told them his goal was to get a spinoff. If they only spent 10 days together over the 6 weeks, I can't see how Davina could have had any other reaction to Sean. That's why everything looked so forced between them as the weeks went on. He tapped out, and she had to pretend that they were still working on things when they weren't, and it made her look bad because she couldn't hide how she really felt about it. Not everyone can pretend like there was an effort being made, and that's what Sean did in his talking heads and with the experts. He made it sound like he was still in it when he wasn't, and Davina knew the truth and maybe couldn't say anything. On screen he makes it sound like he was staying with her in NY half the week. The math doesn't add up.

This is just my take, and sorry if I'm repeating myself from a previous post. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but from Jaclyn's facebook post last night about Ryan not feeding her cat, and another today about how he didn't stay with her means she got the good edit, because it sounded like Ryan wasn't staying in the apartment either. The show probably didn't want all 3 couples to have a bad edit, so they left it out about Ryan not feeding the cat and not staying with her. Every reality show like this, whether it's the housewives or the bachelor, has a villain.

Yes, malpractice insurance is expensive; it is more expensive for some specialties than others. This is why many OB/GYN's have given up on the OB part of their practice. Certain specialties carry more risk; therefore the premium for the malpractice insurance is higher.

As for Davina becoming a pharmacist, I don't know anything about her education, but I do recall pharmacy school is either 4 or 5 years. You can't just "become a pharmacist." In addition to the schooling, you need to pass the State boards to practice. I am sure no 45 year old person is going to go through that unless it is a financial necessity and/or the person is extremely driven.
