Chris Soules & Whitney Bischoff - Bachelor 19 - Discussion - #2

I am not worried at all.  I would be more concerned if they felt a need to be around each other 24/7 in this crazy environment they have been thrust into.  I believe an adult, mature relationship realizes when one partner has commitments to fulfill.  Chris is going to stay committed to DWTS, that's the kind of person he is.  I don't believe Whitney went to LA with the intention of sitting around and doing nothing.  I was under the impression she was going to work too.  I would imagine the Derby is a big deal to her and wants to attend.  They probably thought Chris would be done by now.  Also I think she has some work commitments to take care of.  That's the way it, they are acting like a couple in the real world, vs "Bachelor Land".  I don't see any problem.  I am waiting to see what happens when they get done with DWTS.

I really don't see the issue. They are grown ups. Chris is busy. She is busy. She is going to the Kentucky Derby, picking up her dog and has some work that she has to do. We've known all along that she was maintaining her own schedule and wasn't going to be glued at the hip with Chris. Besides, I think they both thought he would have been done by this week. He probably would have gone to the derby with her if he had the chance since that sounds like something they would have enjoyed. More than likely, she will be there to support her man on Monday when the double elimination takes place and Chris is likely to be eliminated.

Seems totally reasonable to me to leave it up in the air whether or not Whitney returns to LA. Since this gig has an ending, and could come sooner rather than later, why make set plans to return when he could be eliminated next week? I'm sure she has pleanty of things that need her attention back home. They don't seem like a couple that has to be attached at the hip, so could just be getting on with life.

Robert Graham just posted a photo out to dinner with Witney and Cody so it looks like it was a big Bachelor guy hang out night last night. So Whitney might have just planned a Chicago trip during the week the boys would be there.

Witney's hung out with Robert before. Not sure if they know each other through Chris or from earlier.

Anyway, I don't think it's weird that Whitney's going to Chicago for a while or to the Kentucky Derby. It's the general vibe of her SM postings lately, no usual rallying for votes for Chris, leaving just before the show this week (unless she had some important work thing yesterday) and Chris saying she'll be back in a couple of weeks "hopefully". I just get the feeling she's done with DWTS at least. Can't really blame her though.

You're right, they can and certainly have their own life and schedule to go with. Totally agree and not discussing this.
It's more the emotional state that I am wondering about, according to what Chris said in his latest interview.
Whitney "missing home" is not a good sign or good excuse IMO.
Chris not knowing for sure when she'll be back is puzzling for me.
It doesn't matter that she's going some places, it does matter that Chris' explanation seemed elusive IMO.

I don't think it's a big deal. I always thought Whitney would be back and forth more often. I'm sure she had already planned to go to the Derby and pick up her dog.

Chris saying Whitney will be back hopefully in a couple of weeks if he's still there, IMO he meant "hopefully if he's still there" not hopefully that she'll be back.

I don't have a problem with Whitney being away all week. Good on her. I do think it's odd that she missed a performance show though. She could have easily left for Chicago last night after the show (it tapes at 5pm here) or early this morning. But so be it. Her choice.

I'm sure that the travel gets very tiresome, especially when you're still trying to work.

I don't know about Whitney but I sure wouldn't want to get into Chicago in the middle of the night. I wouldn't want to ask someone to pick me up at the airport at 5 a.m. or have to rely on a cab or public transportation at that hour if I was travelling by myself. I would rather take a decent flight and get a good nights sleep to ward off the jet lag.

I bet this trip had been planned for awhile. I doubt that either had any idea that Chris would still be dancing. If not for that the probability is high that Chris would be at the Derby with her. jmo

Unless she had to be at AParentIVF on Monday during the day and Tuesday morning didn't work. From her IG post though she did watch the show and offered encouragement for how Chris did - if my clock is right that post was made about midnight last night. It sounds like she has most of a full week of work (AFAIK this is the first time she would have been in Chicago in the last 7.5 weeks so not surprising she could have to be there physically). It also sounds as though her family has been dog-sitting for Lily and they may either have had their fill of Lily, or have other plans and Whitney has to pick up the dog this weekend. I do think plans were made that didn't count on Chris staying around as long as he already has and now that he's still there they have had to improvise the dog sitting.
