Married At First Sight - Season 2 - Sean Varricchio - Davina Kullar - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I don't think they are going to make it..not a good sign that they aren't picking out a new place together! They sure seemed off tonight..no warm fuzzys..and it maybe the edit but they sure aren't showing a "Love" story..JMO

Am I the only one who finds it odd that Sean and a gf lost a baby in 2014 and yet the experts still chose him as ready for marriage so soon after? It seems too soon somehow...but maybe I am overly sensitive about that.

I was shock at that admission.

I have a feeling Sean's story isn't totally true.  ***Edit***. Either that or he made the whole thing up entirely.  Something about the story seemed 'off" and Devina's reaction was even weirder.

I don't like them, and I'll be shocked if they stay together.  I see this deteriorating more and more as the season goes on.

I like Sean at the beginning but now I dont like him at all. I prefer R & J.

I edited my post, FYI, so feel free to edit the quote. My post was based on the impression I got from the story, but I agree that it's not fair to speculate as to what the true story was.

Oh a different note, am I the only one annoyed that Davina won't even meet Sean in the middle? Like he HAD to move to Manhattan. That's a lot to expect of someone that lives in an entirely different state.

More so than any thing else we have been shown this season this was the MOST disturbing to me. It was not that this was in his past and I do not believe that this was the first that Davina was hearing about it either. He very clearly said 2014 was a difficult year. I find it especially difficult to understand that a panel of experts would find him a suitable match for anyone at this point in time. I am not saying that at some point down the road he would not be ok, but this event is still raw and therefore I question why he would have been matched given the psychological testing that was done. I am not looking to indict the experts but it does bring a question to my mind about the so called testing that is done.

interesting - i'm sensing a "I didn't ask for this" tone from davinia and Jessica (who actually said it in an ITM). I sensed the same thing from monet last season...
very interesting cos I did see monet being adamant that she didn't get what she asked for and the experts seemed to be responding to that when they kept reemphasising (somewhat subtly) "you have to know and say exactly what you want"...even this second season opening of how much time they spent looking for matches and more time with the couple seemed to be informed by the relationship that did fail last season... very interesting dynamic there...that the couples could actually put part of the responsibility on the experts rather than holding each other accountable

JMO, but if I were in the dating world and I met a guy the more traditional way and he told me about a miscarriage in 2014. I would be running away from him, not walking, just like I would run from a newly divorced man. I think they need more time to sort out the emotions.

That really ticked me off, because isn't the extensive personality etc. testing supposed to sort out what is good for these people? Why are they matching them based on what they say they want, when it's obviously not what they need? Anyone could see that an independent career woman in her 30's who doesn't even cook is not gonna mesh well with a younger guy who's looking for a traditional wife.

This season they're casting people with known anger issues and traumatic childhoods combined with traumatic miscarriages just months before. Not cool!

JMHO which I have expressed previously: this is a trainwreck waiting to happen.
