Maybe Sean learned from this experience, maybe the tides will turn, & Sean may become the Prince Charming, everyone watching the show makes him out to be!! I hear he has a visit from the fairy godmother & becomes a changed man on episode 8, & they live happily ever after!

CRAZY Theory, I know!! What if Sean gave up and left the marriage because He had enough? Davina has shown she's so concerned how she looks in the public eye.  She spent a lot of time, defending herself on SM, tweeting and re-tweeting anything that makes her look good and Sean look bad.  I think Davina wants to come out of this smelling like a flower and looking like the victim.    I would not put it past her to do something like this...but of course, I have no evidence. No one here has presented any concrete evidence that Sean is indeed a D-bag and a pathological liar.  Everything I've heard is either from social media, or opinions from watching the show.  No proof!

Sean has kept it low key for the most part on SM.    Maybe all these rumors are being spread by Davina to make herself look good??  

Ryan D looks like someone who may have pissed off a few co-workers and ex-girlfriends. Has anyone come on here yet to give us inside info on him?  

I'm sorry, I'm finding all this stuff coming out about Sean ....very strange.  Something is not adding up!  I wish this is something we could really investigate.  I think we should at least question some of the rumors until we have clear evidence.

IMHO I agree with you on the smear campaign. It's been my experience when a lot of new commenters come to forums with information reflecting badly on one person and defending the other IMO I have to question (in my mind) the validity of the claim. It's that cynical NYer in me I guess.

And IMO they both need a little Bippity Boppity Bomb dropped! If Davina is not a spoiled brat then Nene Leakes is a saint...JMO

Even after I try to come here & give some clarity on the two of these people who I personally know, people still sit her & doubt seans real personality traits & want to talk about Davina not compromising. Davina compromised not talking to her family because of this marriage, which IMO is one of the biggest compromises of them all. Her family did not agree with this marriage, & she wanted to find love, so she went on the show, & her family stopped talking to her. So, when you want to talk about someone compromising, that's huge. Seans family, didn't agree with the marriage either, Bc of Sean ups & downs, ask his brother who talked about on camera, that his brother was mentally unstable. When Sean signed up for the show, he knew that he was moving to NYC, you are not shown that from the editing, he made absolutely no compromise. Like I said earlier, he only came to NYC to film, not to be with Davina or be a husband.

No one here finds it funny, that now all of a sudden, All of Seans post are about, breast cancer, bullying, Boston marathon victims, autism, miscarriages, teachers who help kids with disabilities.. Come on now, this guy isn't trying to come off as thee biggest saint.. This is all such BS, & some of the viewers who don't even know him, have already said something seems way off about this guy but they can't pinpoint it. Well it's hard to pinpoint what's off about him, when the producers wil never show that negative side of him, that's why so many of their clips seem choppy. The viewers are so mislead by this couple, it's not even funny! What you won't see from the editing is Seans other bi-polar episodes, meltdowns & breakdowns off camera, which is why when you watch this couple, the clips really don't make much sense & it seems like there is a lot missing. Well, it's because there is! It's really sad that people can't see this!

It is great that we are able to discuss all POV's on this forum as long as they stay within respectful limits of our members. 
What I have learned in life is: 
one person's smear is another person's delightful spread. 
one person's cynicism is another person's objectivity. 
one person's rose colored glasses is another person's subjectivity.

It takes two people to make a relationship work, it takes two people to make a relationship not work. If Sean and Davina are together, they made it work. If they are not together they both didn't make it work. I refuse to believe only one in a relationship is at fault.

Yep, I've always gone on the assumption of where there's smoke there's fire.

But sometimes when that smokes erupts into accelerating flames,  makes me wonder if it's arson.

I said it after episode 2 and will stand by my comment today. Both Sean and Davina seem like a whole lot of exhausting work.

Sean had no idea her family was not coming to wedding before he married her.  Davina knew they were not coming before she met Sean.  Shouldn't Sean be in ON what he's compromising on? Doesn't compromising start after the wedding?    Davina also said, she kept in touch with her family throughout the process and it sounds like Sean eventually meets her mom per the interview below.

BTW_ Its Funny!  I remember reading this same exact point of view (bolded) on MAFS FB yesterday.  I thought it was very interesting because it was the first time I read it on SM. I remember thinking....hmmm WOW-very different way to look at it.  Davina was getting a lot of negative comments and the poster was trying to defend her because mostly everyone was saying she did not compromise on anything.

What's happening off screen is becoming way more interesting than on ....

I love reading the posts from people in the know. Whether I find Sean creepy, or uncompromising, however, doesn't preclude me from thinking Davina has plenty of her own flaws. Sean may be the worst dude ever. His family may be thoroughly embarrassed by him. That doesn't mean that I can't find Davina pretentious, inflexible and a total princess. At least what I'm seeing on screen.

Yep! I don't doubt at all that Sean has his issues. I initially found him to be emotionally manipulative when opening up to D and now he seems to be going into a shell of unresponsiveness.  But the fact that Dr. C is surprised by viewers reactions to him makes me wonder where the truth lies.  

Clearly this is a highly produced TV show but Davina is coming across as very high maintenance with unreal expectations of what Sean or any man is capable of delivering. That said, Davina is in a tough situation of being an elegant, educated and professionally successful woman who is still believing and waiting for the rom-com version of Mr. Right.

What we as viewers can't dispute is the timing of Davina's apartment purchase. IMO, it was strategic move on her part in that

1) Davina had a great excuse for not compromising on where she lived and

2) the experts might match her with a professional who already had a Manhattan address (and Manhattan salary to go with it).  

Nothing wrong with that at all - Davina wanted what she wanted. But, she can't lash out at Sean for not sharing her same Manhattan dream. Sean is no Prince Charming, for sure, but last I checked Prince Charming was best left for fairytales.
