I get the feeling from this clip that they are no longer together, IMO Sean just seems a little bitter sounding or something in his tone and body language while he's doing his interview

I don't get where Davina is coming from with her comments and I had been firmly on Team Davina for the first couple of episodes.

I think that Sean's response on sleigh ride was completely fair and I am not sure what else he could of or should have done. She wanted a sleigh ride, they went on a sleigh ride. They were already sitting side by side and arms were interlocked. They were not facing each other but taking in surrounding. He asked her if she was getting "misty eyed" and gave her a playful nudge. That was HER OPPORTUNITY to tell him what a "deep" thinker she is and share what was in her head NOT expect some guy she just met to sense that she was feeling something else other than joy.

But, that's also what I don't get: I thought she was experiencing JOY not sadness so why would she need comforting??? USE YOUR WORDS DAVINA!

Then when Davina said to him later at the bar, "I know boys can be stupid ... " :shocked!:

Her insult would have totally shut me down so I have to give Sean credit that he hung in there and, at least on film, he is taking the blame for a situation that really seems just a miscommunication (not a sign of coldness or insensitivity).

IMO it would be tough for anyone to be with a person (male or female) who is constantly looking for signs that his/her needs are not being validated. Lots of work ... lots of lots of work.

Whenever those ITMs were filmed, things were on the rocks. They have all the demeanor, individually, of explaining a moment that is explanatory of why it didn't work or perhaps "isn't working" if that was filmed mid-Experiment. So, if we keep seeing that setting for recaps as events unfold, that foretells a break-up post-mortem to me.

Something about these two doesn't work emotionally. Maybe they will work through it. Hope so. Not sure this Experiment format is really giving them enough time to do all the inside-work each needs to get to a place of not just talking about commitment and marriage and communication but pulling it off. People say the experts were more involved, and more early in the process, so maybe some fairy godparents will swoop in to help out. One on one I just see true red flags all over for each of them.

I saw that clip in the show. Didn't all of you? This was so early in their relationship that I don't think we can tell anything from their demeanor. Not sure when the PI's were from but like TB they're talking about what their feelings were at the time.

I do think these ITM were filmed much much later

What I think is also strange ...is Davina kept trying to get her point across on twitter and Facebook while the episode was airing on Tuesday.  She feels that Sean was not there for her.   On multiple occasions when Sean cried,  she was there for him.  She wants him to react the way she would. I just get the vibe they are no longer together based on her SM comments on tuesday.  She even posted this on Facebook.

The bottom line, though, is that it was a significant moment and I could have used the comfort and just general interest in what I was feeling. Prior to this incident, Sean had many emotional moments that included crying and for which I deeply comforted him...despite the short time frame. It's just a matter of being present and listening, wanting to listen, building that bond of emotional intimacy, and feeling like your being there is a reciprocated. That's a key to ANY healthy relationship, don't you think? I'm glad we communicated afterwards...and that was certainly my plan. I just wanted to give Sean a chance to bring it up later himself, in case he felt uncomfortable doing it in the moment. When he didn't, I brought it up. Communication is definitely key! I hope this gives you guys a bit more insight into why this was so significant...I found myself yelling at the TV screen about wanting more background info...so I totally get where you guys are coming from

I do think this was triggered by previous moments where she felt like Sean "checks out" e.g. when they were in the store(?) getting skiing gear and she was telling him about her mom. she needs the more constant "tuning in" & attention. At the same time, I can see that she can be a bit too serious for sean sometimes. She needs him to be the source of emotional support while he seems to want to lighten things up more than she does?? That's the sense I'm getting right now. I don't see either of them as bad people just people with different needs and inclinations in intimate settings.

I think both of them are super sensitive to their own needs. Sean at least owned his mistake. I get the sense that Davina might be a bit stiff, hypercritical, and looking for insults when there are none. There's something about Sean that still makes me uncomfortable but I think that he has a harder cookie to crack than Ryan R.

Yeah, I'm with you. I stand by my previous statement that Davina is high maintenance. Most men would have run for the hills with that 'I know boys are stupid" comment. She puts out mixed signals (the tears of joy vs. sadness, etc.) and expects him to have the "Emotional Guide to Davina Kullar" Handbook. You've known each other for 4 days! As for the ITM it's like she's beating a dead horse and trying to stir up tension and drama. She seems like she will not budge an inch in this relationship but let's see what happens...
