Oh honestly if she pics Nick, I will believe this season was staged. No one can tell will be able to convince me otherwise either.

Mary came on with one other former contestant who was eliminated right away- can't remember her name.  There was lots of spec at the time he wasn't feeling it with any of his existing women, so that's why Mary was brought in. Who really knows for sure.  Regardless, domestic abuse and alcoholism aside, those two lasted 5 years, so that was no default, and "staged" or not, it worked.

I don't really care if people think it's staged, because I don't think Nick would take part in a fake engagement. If he is the F1 and they're engaged, then I believe it's because they have strong feelings for one another. Yeah, it might be staged in the sense that none of the other guys had a chance to begin with and Nick already had Kaitlyn's heart before the season, but that doesn't really bother me. She can only choose one guy anyway, so hearts will get "broken" regardless of who she chooses. As long as there's a happy ending then all is good, right?

Personally, I don't think Nick had her heart before the season, since I doubt they knew each other that well. I don't believe she wouldn't at least try to give the other hunky guys she's presented with a chance. If Nick won, then that's just because she liked him best. Good for her!

And then again, I don't see the term engagement meaning the same IRL as it pertains to this show. 
One of these days, I'd suspect the entire package from beginning to end to have been tied up in Fleiss ribbons. Will it be scripted? I guess it depends on the interpretation.

No offense, but if Kaitlyn chose Nick as her F1, there will be nothing fake about the final result. Nick doesn't do fake.

Because we know some fundamental things regarding Nick's character. We know he is honest and has too much integrity to be fake.

Framing it in general terms: I wasn't a fan of Josh Murray but never doubted he was genine in wanting to marry and have a family.  My belief is that most people are more good than bad - just humanly imperfect. It is a value I live by.

I can see Nick going on the show thanks to producers prompting him rather than of his own accord, but I don't think they would make him do it unless they thought there was a chance for actual romance. As in, I can see them telling him something like "You seem to like Kaitlyn and vice versa, so would you like to come and crash her season? You won't have to involve your family or stay until the end if you're not feeling it, but it'd be great TV to have you on the show again."

However, I don't think they'd make him get engaged to Kaitlyn as some sort of a ruse, nor would I think he would ever go along with it. I also don't see the point from Kaitlyn's point of view. I'm sure she was at least open to the possibility of hitting it off with someone, even if she's not dying to get married tomorrow. I can't see her being chosen as the lead if she was all "I don't really want fall in love, so just fix me up with a fake fiance I can dump a few months later". There would be no point, unless she already had a boyfriend outside the show, but then they could've just chosen someone else as the lead. Especially since they had Britt right there. So if she chose Nick in the end, then I think it's because she liked him the best. Even if that's not much, it's still more than the others, otherwise she would've chosen one of them to date. And that's kind of the point of this show, to pick the one you like the best, even if it doesn't take you very far.
