AllAboutLove wrote:So by Episode 3 the F3 all had roses prior to RC. The rest of the girls really are just producer-filler.
Gives some credence to the notion that the lead knows early on who his frontrunners are. So by 5th-ish episode he gets to spend some time with his front-runners, then production makes him jump through some hoops/group-dates/not-front-runners/filler, the audience gets more filler, and then by post-HTDs the audience and the lead are back to seeing him with his early front-runners. Sounds about right.
Exactly !!! The lead knows after the first night the 4 or 5 that they have a connection with and are most interested in getting to know better, the rest are all fillers to create the show and the lead dosen't have much input , if any as to who stays and when they go.

Just so I am straight here and don't cause any trouble on this forum.
We... or shall I say "we"... are solidly sold on Whitney being F1? There is no doubt in anybody's mind here that he could ever potentially be "smitten" by Kaitlyn too without the aid of Jimmy Kimmel as a "lubricant"? Also the reason Becca's footage is so choppy and darkly lit is because the editors want you to THINK "IT" is there between them, when "IT" is obviously not?
I don't want to get all of the "Congrats Chris and Whit!" engagement cards printed until I am absolutely certain, y'know.

I am not sold on anything. Chris is far to wishy washy and easily manipulated for me to believe anything is set in stone right now. The famous mural looks like cheap tissue paper that would be washed away easily by a good Iowa winter storm. And I would really, really love to see RS get kaboomed again. Des and Chris managed to do it to him again with the wedding, so I am kind of hoping it brought him more bad spoiling karma.
I will say that Whitney and Chris's date was shades of Brooks and Des's date, including fan interaction.
I could see him with any of his spoiled top 4 and if it weren't for SC suggesting Jade leaving crying in a limo, I would put her out either.
I do think it is funny that Chris's very normal and humble family picks the woman who has done porn for his princess date. That to me is hilarious. She must come off really well. Since all I see when I think of her is stripper heels with a bikini.

*chuckle chuckle* That's good to know.
Jade is the one I struggle the most seeing "IT" with Chris, so I am temporarily ruling her out of the competition. They even had to put them "in bed" with the camera zooming as close as possible just to manufacture "IT" on screen for us.
With Jade in mind, I was hoping on Whitney's date that the moment she suggested crashing the wedding, Chris would have said "I would much rather make-out with you instead". He certainly didn't notice Jimmy in the hot-tub right away earlier... and was most eager to shoo him away after din-din.
I mean.. are we to think that ol' farm boy hasn't learned ANYTHING in the hay loft?
How did the early "pregnant with possibilities" promos go? With Andi, "he was a gentleman from their first meeting until their final goodbye"? (Screwed up the wording here.) Maybe that was too long for him to be... gentle. No doubt that is how Britt expects him to be, since she kept her previous boyfriend under control (if we believe her episode 1 intro). The whole "wife should be a safe haven" may work well with some guys, but... I am just curious as to which of the final three ladies will bring out the beast in him (regardless of which one we think he will end up with).

Nevermind. I can answer my speculation above as to which lady will bring out the beast in him.
OK... one more depraved post and I will do my best to maintain my wholesome virtues through the rest of this silly show. Can't promise that I will succeed, but I'll still try. "Do you trust me?"
Remember the rolling bubble in New Zealand? That was probably the ONLY "erotic" scene between Juan Pabloooo and Nurse Nikki in a season filled with Wet & Wild Clare Bear frolics.
"They" keep saying that this season will be the opposite of Juan's.
We shall see.... we shall see...
Yet with rolling bubbles in mind, that Costco scene did give me a sense of déjà vu...
...not of Juan and Nikki, but Alex and Amanda emerging from under the dinner table when room service arrived in season 1.
Also why did Jimmy insist on getting enough ketchup to fill the hot-tub? To manufacture enough "blood" for the sharks' feeding frenzy later in the episode?
I am mighty curious what all really happens in Fantasy Date Week and what silly business... if any... has been concocted THIS time around. After Desie played submarine and sand-rover-all-over with Prince Siegfried (and rolling her eyes talking about him in her PI sessions), we were served a main course of Antigua Boo-Hoo afterwards with Brooks... as if to convince us she was joining a convent now that Brooks had left.
Hey. As long as we don't get any exploding volcanoes like for Jillian and Ed on their LCD date, I'll be OK. That was just too-too much.

Just finished the episode (sort of..). Why on earth Whitney and Chris keep chirping the greatest love and wife?.. After the series of Great Love lines and PIs of Nick and Meandi last season, i really feel allergic to that words. Somebody help me
dont get me wrong..i have no problemo with Whit and Chris.they look alike, prolly a great match. just trying to be open minded for a different 'outcome' .

The lead does know the general activities of the dates and often saves specific dates for special people. Ashley with JP in Hong Kong. Brad and Emily with the Elephants. Jillian saving the Ice Castle date her last one on one for Reid, remember her saying on the train finally their date had come. So who is on the hot air balloon date, Becca or Britt? It is probably significant who Chris chose to spend it with.

Yes I think the more "private" dates are for their chosen..like the hot air ballon..or I think like the horseback riding, even the cinderellla date..VS crashing a wedding.or Whitney date there are people all around..no private time! jMO

Regarding the wedding crashing being staged, is it possible that neither Whitney nor Chris knew the producers had already cleared it with the bride and groom? We know they are quite capable of "suggesting" a contestant do or say something while leaving said contestant thinking that it was their own idea. I could see them subtly hinting and leading Whitney to think that crashing a wedding that so conveniently happened to be right in their line of vision would be a good way of showing Chris how "spontaneous" she was, and that she was able to "shoot the s**t" (can't remember the expression he used about the cob ) like he had just talked about with her.
Chris definitely seems like a "company man" and I suspect that for the early dates, he totally let the producers choose who they wanted to highlight. I really don't think he walked away from the M&G with a strong interest in either childish Mackenzie or dumb bunny Megan, but the producers probably thought they'd make good TV. And I agree that for the wedding crash, I couldn't see too many women from that bunch who had the social skills and maturity to pull it off without it becoming a cringe worthy (bleachable?) moment other than Whitney. And before anyone says anything, I don't doubt that a cringe worthy moment wouldn't have bothered producers at all, but they probably had to promise the bride and groom that they wouldn't do anything that would actually ruin their wedding, and didn't want to end up getting sued.

I agree too. Chris sounded genuinely worried as they were in the limo,
