I am beginning to wonder if it's more of her sister "testing" her. Maybe she sees Ashley all gaga over her F1 and her sister asks Ash questions to see weather she is really in love or just lust, but it comes across as bitchy. She goads her and in the end sees just how much in love her sister is. Maybe by the end of the MTP she tells her she was just testing her love for F1 and gives her blessing. Wasn't there some discussion that JP might look like Ashely's ex that passed away? Maybe that's what the sister is worried about?

I think that the similarity is uncanny in the new behind-the-scenes picture of Ashley and JP at the rollerskating rink.

Does anyone have a pic of him we could look at?

I mean no offense to any poster, but I tend to think it's disrespectful to keep posting pictures of her ex who passed away and they weren't even dating at the time. I can't imagine how his parents and family must feel if they find out that his picture is being posted on RealityTV message boards. As a mom, I'd be distraught.

She said she'd been single for 4 years when she went on The Bachelor so this was an old boyfriend - probably from her undergraduate days. It wasn't like he was a recent boyfriend that she was still pining over. They'd both moved on but I'm sure it was hard to hear that he'd died if they had a fairly decent breakup.

OFc once again the scene with the sister gets blown out of proportion.

What I find interesting from the previews is her telling Ashley she thought Ashley was too much for the guy she had objections about.
I'm wondering Which guy would that be? My feeling is this is going to be about Ben maybe. Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

I have a feeling sis has an issue with the show's format and the impulsivity of it all...like ashley can find a guy worth of her in a realistic setting slowly -- just a hunch might be wrong :greenman:

Yet, Brad, who is so much older, weirder, stiffer, and lives in Austin was okay with her? Of course I'm talking with an extreme bias but I'm going with she's a jealous witch at the moment. giggling

I thought she was referring to JP. He maybe older and lives in NYC, but he is still so shy.

I agree. It seems odd that the sister would fly all the way to Fiji to meet the chosen guys and then be so hostile about one of them. Why go? I mean this is the second time Ashley has been on this show. The family knows what it is about. If they don't approve, don't go. It's weird to me.

I took a different twist on the "you are too much for him".
A bit of a leap here since the phrase was taken out of context of the entire conversation, but my thoughts:
Ashley's family is very proud of her achievements. She has excelled at many things in her life, dancing and academics. She will be a dentist very soon.
I took the "you are too much for him", meaning you are settling and he is not good enough for where you are going in life. I have some other private thoughts also, but am not going there.
Anyway, just thought I would throw my specs out there for what it's worth. Zilch probably.
