Re: Episode 11 - 8/1 Finale - Discussion - Thread #1
No matter how sure she was that JP was not the one for Ashley, I think it was really rude of Chrystie to go on the attack like that (especially the questioning she gave JP).
My younger sister is dating someone that I think is very wrong for her. BUT she is an adult, and I trust her judgment. So I think she obviously must know a part of him that I don't know, and short of him being abusive I would never be so presumptuous as to tell her that I think he is not the right guy for her to be with.
I especially would not have told her something like that within the first hours of meeting him.
And if I did say something that made my sis' face just crumple the way Ashley's did, you can bet I would not have kept pushing her like that!
If she was that concerned, she could have broached the subject in a much different way (ie, by asking Ashley things like "Do you like who you are around him? Do you feel like you might be at different places in your lives," etc).
Chrystie's actions in Fiji strike me as those of someone who has much growing up to do.

Holy chit!! this is the best love story I have ever seen, because it's real! I was trying to relay the significance of this season to DH ... this. never. happens. It's never in our faces like this. These two hit each other like a ton of bricks. To be honest, I sense a certain amount of sadness between these two when I watch them. There is so much yearning to get their uninhibited feelings out in the open and it's so obvious. It makes me the viewer feel almost bad for them! It's like a forbidden love at the moment. Can't wait to see how these two act with everything out in the open. Holy moly!!
I said that a few times before the season started! I even said I would work on following the edit, yeah screw that! As soon as JP stepped out of that limo my detachment to Ash and her love stepped out somewhere too and never returned

I agree! Who knew, right? Who knew that this season would've had one of the best love stories we've ever seen on this series? I so can't wait until the final moment when they get to profess their love for each other.. Post show media next week will be a treat.

I think what he says at the end is what we're all feeling. HAHA. In the beginning with casting Ashley, it was like "WTF, are you serious with this, TPTB?!" But now that we know the outcome, it's all so great and purrfact. :missclap: They're awesome.

I was actually planning to not to watch Ashley's season and didn't join here until 2 months after ya'll started sleuthing. San invited me back in March and I was like no girl I can't handle a whole season of Ashley LOL I'm glad I changed my mind and didn't miss out on all this cupcake cuteness.

The fact Ash's sister would say the whole Brad thing to JP face is sick IMO. How uncalled for and rude.
She sounded like an idiot on that one.
I almost thought of tweeting her "Demure? Oops" but I thought she might take it the wrong way. She was completely out of line, but her words only made this couple stronger. Saying it to her sister was bad enough, but to say it to JP was down right indefensible! Oh well, they have moved past it and so will I after I rant durning the show.

JP compliments Ashley and I find her so attractive when she is with him. I did not like the Ashley that I saw with Brad (apart from their last date where I loved her spunkiness) and I hated the way she was with ... Jpash has replaced jolly as my favorite couple !! :cc1:

... and after watching those Ashley-Chrystie battles, which really weren't that bad (just wait until she makes JP cry!... that is when all the rage will begin), this season is resembling this swinging sixties chestnut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J54ZIMw9-uk

I didn't care about Ashley being the bachelorette, planned no investment on my part. Wasn't even sure I'd watch every Monday.
Bam, JP looking like a model, walks out of that limo.."no gimmicks, me and my smile"...then the cupcake story inside, he hooked me bigtime. I started to watch just to see him, still didn't give a dang about Ashley (at that time). Then when I saw her glow around JP and the connection (despite the smokescreen called BNB), I started to really like her, thought she was a sweet girl. And that only increased every week.
Now I totally adore this couple. I love more together than apart - if that makes any sense. I love that they are a 'we' now and the love is so in our face, they just cannot hide it.
This will be the best FRC and AFRC and media tour for me of any couple frome this show. I fell in love with them, while they were falling in love with each other. Best.Ending.Ever

I wasn't excited about this season initially. JP was not even my type physically.... but he had me at cupcake. Right from that first night (unspoiled) I felt that connection with Ashley. Then his rock solid, emotionally intelligent personality and charm sold me. I am so looking forward to this FRC. Last year, even though I liked Roberto, I was bawling my eyes out because of CL (remember the rainbow after Ali ousted him?)
This season I'll be crying tears of joy!

I just watched video where Ashley confronted her sister and 2 things stood out. The obvious one was Ashley really wanting them all to love JP and was upset that her sister didn't think he was right for her. The other thing was that Chrystie seemed to strike a nerve. I was surprised that Ashley told her that she was saying what Ashley was thinking. I wonder what she meant by that? I actually didn't think Chrystie was all that bad. They were there to give their impressions and she did. Could she have been a little more subtle about it? Sure and probably should have. I bet Fleiss was extremely happy about it.
I also watched a clip from Ashley interrupting Britt's time with Brad and remembered what I didn't like about her going into this season. I think she turned out to be better than I expected but a bit too insecure for my liking and could have been a little more empathetic at times. Still it's nice for her to have found someone she loves to start a relationship with.

Yes, no gimmicks was a perfect introduction. I hate all the stuff people try and do. Only one I liked was West giving her a compass.
I know.
I love this statement. So true, they are better together than apart.
To the last bolded comment. I too loved falling in love with them as they were falling in love with each other. It's been a incredible ride!
