Re: Andi Dorfman - The Bachelorette 10 - Discussion - #2
JODI easily could have said jokingly to CH when asked "we'd love for you all to marry us next spring or summer. Let us know the day and time and we'll be there".
They could have said anything true or false about things they were thinking of wedding wise to make their fans happy other than, we've been so busy blah blah blah, enjoying our time together first yada yada and not saying anything.
I was surprised they did not throw their fans a bone.

I agree. Happy they are keeping things more private and maybe we will hear more from them at the ATFR or something. Either ABC will do it and if they don't Jodi can start doing their own thing like Des and Chris. I don't think Josh will wait as long. He wants kids like YESTERDAY!
We can always rely on MM. ;) ;) Or Hy! Hehe

I definitely didn't get a hint that there could be a tv wedding from anything they said tonight. It doesn't sound like it's high in their priorities at this time.

Sorry you are not familiar with it. Maybe it is generational or geographical thing.
I know you have a smiley next to the sentence, but I would never infer that her fans are animals or act like animals. I would not refer to the members of this forum as such. I am deeply sorry that anyone would think that.

I think she was talking about here.
Oh well we don't talk about here. So my question is, the majority of viewers love them don't they?
I think they are one of those polarizing couples. A lot of people like them and a lot of people do not...particularly Andi. All of the people that I know that watch the show have not been fans, but most think they are well suited.

...Aaron to choose his wedding date first?

aviej wrote:As Andi has stated before, she doesn't feel that at this point she can devote the attention to law as she should since so many other things are going on in her life at this point. So, as was said previously, as soon as the "dust settles" and their schedules have some measure of normalcy or consistency, then she'd return to law. I give her props for not being too consumed in work so that she can give her relationship sufficient time to nurture. They are already fighting an uphill battle of getting engaged after two months, so what's wrong concentrating energies on that for right now? There is no expiry date to her law degree, she can certainly go back to that if she wants. If she doesn't that's okay too. Many times people start careers in a field and they realise at some point that it's not really what's at the core of their heart. What if her heart has always been in the fashion industry? We don't know. Let's just give her a chance to be!!!
I am not a fan of Andi's, so I am taking a risk here. I would love to be as fortunate as Andi as to have been able to pursue a career in law and I do think in some respects she is foolish to toss it aside as she is currently doing. There are many young women out there who would wish they were so fortunate as to have her education. That said, it just may not be fulfilling to her in ways that matter and she feels she needs something more creative. And she has the freedom to do that and it is acceptable within her family to do so. Her sister Rachel also has a law degree but went on to become a Marine Biologist I think it is. I think Andi and her sister were probably brought up to believe they could do anything they set their mind to and then received the financial backing to do it, and do it on numerous occasions apparently. Sometimes figuring out what to do for a profession is a process, one you can indulge when you have a safety net, which the majority of people don't have. She has been blessed in many ways and I wonder if she hasn't become spoiled in the process. But then I do not know any of these people at all really.

throw me a bone is a euphemism that I thought everyone who speaks English was familiar with. God I must be getting old!

The Urban dictionary does not give the original meaning which was, give me a hint, give me a clue, give me something I can figure out.
It has nothing to do with animals, in the sense of calling anyone or referring to anyone as an animal.
I hope this, along with Kasha's explanation, clears this matter up.
